Gabby, the liquor department manager, is outstanding! I’ve been coming to this store for quite some time and her extensive knowledge is impressive. There is always a great selection to choose from so I regularly take a moment to chat with her if she’s available. Whether I’m looking for a recommendation, an item I can’t find or advice on wine pairing, she never disappoints. You can really tell how much she cares about what she does. Thank you, Gabby, for your exceptional service and consistently going above and beyond!

Very disappointed at this Albertsons store. Appeared to have no concern for elderly patrons.

UPDATE December 22nd: The store director reached out to me and assured me he would be talking to this cashier. He was very professional and sounded as if he genuinely cared about what I had experienced. For this quick response I’m grateful and give 5 *****Store 966I checked out at 5:32pm December 20th, 2023) and was assisted by cashier Jeffrey as my receipt reflects. I purchased two bottles of wine and he asked for my ID which I provided, but asked him not to touch it (excuse me if I’m sick and don’t want extra germs!). He got offended and didn’t bother to hide it. He bagged my items and then asked me sarcastically whether it’s okay to touch my bags. I have no understanding for such unprofessional and rude behavior and hope this will be addressed. As I walked off, he talked about me with the customers behind me. Until today I never had any issues with the cashiers as they are all friendly and accommodating. However, JEFFREY was not and shouldn’t be dealing with customers if he takes everything personally. As a loyal customer to this store, I expect this to be passed on to his supervisor as every customer should be given the option to have their ID touched or not!

Daniel in the seafood department was so kind and helpful, even during the holiday rush! And Kevin was great at checkout with a large order. Thank you!

The worst, rudest employees anywhere. Horrible. Y'all should seek help from Safeway employees. Out of stock on an item, I asked the female clerk if any more in the back. NO!! I went to the back room to find 2 boys back there doing nothing. They were annoyed that I asked them to check. Oh look! We have it here. These people DO NOT belong in this business. Sad they keep them employed. Management should be ashamed of themselves

Staff at Val Vista location are not as friendly as S Power location...they need to learn how to smile...if it were not for customers they would not have a job!

Fresh food is the reason you shop? DONT shop at THIS location! Bought ground turkey and today was the expiration date! I haven’t seen them once pull or rotate any meat in the 4 years I have bought from here.To make it worst! In the last 6 months our family has had TWO additional items expired AND mispackaged!Just call the store because “they have great management” you say. Manager didn’t care;absolute attitude!

I have been to this location 2 times and I would rate both experiences 1 star. The first time I had a return of moldy, stale bread from another location (Thomas & Scottsdale) because this location was on my way home from work. The woman at customer service said they couldn't do a return because they don't sell that item at that location and it would not be in their system. I asked if she's able to just give me a gift card or something for the $2 or $3 that it was as the product was inedible and still sold at another Albertson's. She scans the bread and lo and behold, the item comes up in their system! She scoffed and slammed a merchandise credit card on the counter. I thanked her and she turned her back and walked away. Today, I went in to get some Yoplait yogurt while it is on sale, and the expiration on all the yogurts was July 18 or July 24. Today is July 26. Absolutely disgusting.

Nice neighborhood grocery store. It is always clean and pretty well stocked. The lines move slowly, though. They need to hire more cashiers or something. Also, there is a warming stand for chicken wings in the deli that has been broken for a while. I wish they would fix it because i used to stop by after work for wings.

Just like ever Albertsons. This location only. They own the building. Customer Service Department always has a Customer Service Rep there. The only negative is the sales tax. Whereas, the sales tax is much higher as is all the stores in Scottsdale.

I only shop at Albertsons when I'm having a party and decide to do fried chicken. Albertsons has the best fried chicken of ALL the grocery stores. Been buying it for YEARS. PS. I certainly hope KROGER doesn't change the way chicken is done when KROGER takes over Albertsons. If anything, they will learn something and make the changes to include Albertsons awesome fried chicken recipe instead of their current one. Please KROGER, YOU ALREADY MESSED UP THE GARLIC BREAD AND FRENCH BREAD. THAT WAS BAD ENOUGH, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT EFF WITH THE FRIED CHICKEN. MY FAMILY AND FRIENDS ARE COUNTING ON YOU TO GET IT RIGHT. 3 decades we've been buying chicken from Albertsons for all the family gatherings. Memories, lots of them. Please don't ruin our ??. Kroger chicken is not the same. It sucks in comparison.
