Used to be a member for about 5 years but moved and cancelled membership. Tried to come in and pay for a day pass and they don’t allow nonmembers in Monday - Friday even though no one was in the gym. Go to one of the better climbing gyms.

Great facility! Brand new bathrooms and lobby, it looks fantastic. The employees were all so helpful and supportive, they made me feel like I had been a member for years! Climbing was phenomenal, I had never done ropes and was loving the challenge. Their bouldering was also incredible with something for all skill levels. Dan, you are the man. Thank you for allowing me to participate in your space and community!!

You'll notice good reviews of this place ended quite awhile ago. As a long time AZ rock climber, I would absolutely recommend you climb somewhere else. It'll be significantly cheaper and more fun.I was a member there for five years and ended my membership after they dramatically raised rates, significantly cut hours, and became generally unpleasant.

This gym is missing some of the basic amenities one would expect at a gym. It used to have showers to wash off at once you were done working out or climbing and lockers to store your stuff in. I used to be able to go more frequently before work or when running errands in the area, but without the showers its killed the convenience. Its also pretty gross getting into your car with sweaty clothes that have chalk all over them. Every other rock climbing gym (and weightlifting gym) in the valley has showers and lockers for their members to use. Please convert 1 of the 5 bathroom stalls in the new remodel back to a shower like the gym had before. Not having it has made me go from being able to climb 3 times a week to once a week if anything and has me seriously considering cancelling my monthly membership. Its pretty disappointing to have monthly rates go up last year and the services provided continue to drop (like yoga, removing lockers, and now no showers).

Very nice facility with a lot of interesting climbs. They only allow Grigris and getting belay certified took no longer than their safety video. Will definitely come back.

I normally don't comment on any azr staff till I met Leo when I first started climbing again because of the covid19 pandemic which paused me climbing for almost 3.5 years. His awesome vibes make my day! His work performance is great! ;)

We came here about a year ago to try it out and had a good experience so we decided to bring our 4 kids back. After fixing the names on the accounts and re-signing waivers the "safety guy" (skinny little guy with glasses) said the kids could grab their shoes and harnesses and go in, so they did. Then my daughter (she's 19) went out to ask the guy a question. He comes in to the rock climbing area to talk to my kids for a couple of minutes and then comes over to my husband and I to scold us in a brash attitude "if they weren't comfortable with the equipment that's something you should come to us about". I said didn't my daughter just do that. Then he said "well yes" but carried on in a scolding manner. I told him we wouldn't be back. It was ridiculous. The question he asked my boys about the equipment they got correct btw!

We had a great time at this facility. I would say that a majority of the routes are more difficult. There is one easy peasy rainbow route and two adjacent that are beginner doable but not "easy". The staff was wonderful and the facility was spacious and really neat. This place is great for newbies and those looking for a challenge. There is even a gym upstairs.

Small location but the place does have the ability to use self-belay in case you don't have a partner. $35 for one day seems a little expensive for what you get. Routes are actually pretty standard to their grade level. Bouldering area is quite small

If you’ve never climbed before this is a decent gym to get an intro to climbing. However if you are an experienced climber I DO NOT RECOMMEND GOING HERE. The route setting is extremely awkward and ratings are very inaccurate (coming from someone who has climbed indoor and outdoor all across the country). Save your money on a $35 day pass and climb at a better gym

Got turned away today apparently they don't want any business during the week, don't even bother trying to go during a weekday it's members only very rude staffer with facial jewelry told us that the only two people in the whole gym at 10AM were members and we weren't welcome if we weren't! DONT climb here they are unwelcoming and for a sport that's about inclusivity and embracing the outdoors, this place is anything but! And unless your a member you'll pay an industry high $35 for a day pass wow!! Top notch gyms don't cost that much and this gym is anything but..Seek fun somewhere else!

this place is mainly for kids. serious climbers should go somewhere else.based off my experience, this place overcharges for their day passes, is poorly managed, smells, and has a rude worker. i bought a monthly pass w the intent on top rope climbing and with the summer coming i thought this would be the perfect time. with about 4 months of sport climbing experience i thought i would be fine. but nope, the short man with a lisp told me he needed to test me and my buddy before we started. i said that's fine but after only testing my buddy and not testing me, he then proceeded to tell me we were not qualified and he was too busy to help us out. after that he walked to the desk area and just sat down. need to say for someone being so busy, he wasn't doing anything at all. i then cancelled my membership because my goal was to top rope climb and not bouldering. he laughed at what i said and proceeded to give me my money back. any good customer service i have experienced does not involve a worker just flat out being rude. this guy wasn't trying to be nice at all and didn't even ask why. i don't think this guy knows how to communicate to people clearly or doesn't know customer service at all.i would recommend any climber to go outside and climb than to go to this place and waste your money and time. there is better bouldering at focus climbing center and the staff is 100% more friendly.

Great experience with the family never knew how much fun rock climbing is. Huge shoutout to Harrison our trainer he is a blessing and great with kids. When things were getting hard he showed up out the blue to help out great workmanship. We definitely will be back. Highly recommend.

If you're looking for a fun and challenging way to get in shape while having a blast, then AZ on the Rocks is the place for you! We recently visited this indoor rock climbing gym, and must say it exceeded all of our expectations. The gym is clean and well-maintained, and the staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and always available to help. The equipment is top-notch, with various climbing walls and routes. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced climber, there's something for everyone at AZ on the Rocks. One thing that impressed me was the emphasis on safety. Before you climb, the staff gives you a thorough orientation on how to use the equipment properly and ensures that you're fitted with the appropriate gear. They also have trained staff to belay you as you climb so that you can feel confident and secure throughout your entire session.I also appreciate that AZ on the Rocks offers classes and programs for climbers of all levels, from basic skills workshops to advanced technique classes. Whether you're looking to climb for fun or compete at a higher level, there's something for you here.Overall, we had a fantastic experience at AZ on the Rocks and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a fun and challenging workout or a great way to spend time with friends and family. Five stars all the way!
