The WalMart Museum is under renovation, it might take a year or so. But two blocks down the street, there is the Walmart Lab, a good size and interesting exhibition about this empire.

As of 9 September 2023 the original Walmart 5 & 10 store is under reconstruction but the museum is still open in a new location a couple blocks away. Follow the signs for the Walmart Heritage Museum. The original storefront has scaffolding up with a mural of the original facade that can be used for photo backdrop. The museum is very small, has some interesting things like amusing Walmart customer return stories and vintage employee cards and badges, but some items are just examples of things for sale in a Walmart like a meat thermometer from 2022. I don't need to go to a museum to see that. It's street parking. They do have decent bathrooms which is always a plus. I wouldn't go out of my way to visit this, but if you're in the area for Crystal Bridges, why not?

Although this place is small, but packed with info. It displays the history of Walmart and sam’s club. Me. Sam Walton attitude of how he see things. It’s a free tour. The staff was friendly and helpful. The location is currently under construction, so they moved it to down the street and fit everything in one room. If you have half and hour to spare, you should stop by. And the town is very cute to walk around too.

I have a piece of Walmart history it's a small blue and white card the size of a credit card that anyone had to have to write a check for their items bought at Walmarts when the store came to Texas. Still in perfect condition. Love my Walmarts Ms. Coker

The people were amazing. The museum is being renovated so the location is a block away(renovation should be complete in 2024. The staff were so amazing and helpful with personal care and interesting stories. Made the experience so much better. Great insight to the foundations of Walmart and it's free!

We just visited the museum this morning and really enjoyed it. It was in a temporary location a couple blocks away since the actual museum is being renovated. It's a self guided tour with interactive displays and wall plaques with the full history of the Walmart comeuppance. It's like a living biography of two men and a dream that you get to experience with them. We encourage you to visit. Don't miss the Spark Café food truck ice cream shop parked outside the Walmart 5 & 10 store (the actual museum location). They serve really good ice cream at very reasonable prices!

The actual museum was closed for remodeling in late December. They have a temporary one setup a couple blocks away. The temp one is small and pretty lame. It will take you 5 minutes to check it out. It's not worth going out of the way to visit.

A very interesting museum! The story began with the denial of lease renewal to the founder, to running a nationwide business and how humble he was attributing his success to his employees. It goes without saying that stories of 'Karens of the era' are equally intriguing. It is also fun to appreciate the products of the time. I was there in summertime when the cafe was selling a honey ice-cream.
