Sears appliance repair came out this week because my refrigerator wasn't cooling as well as it should. I called the number and got someone in India who push really hard to get me to buy a warranty, but did finally make an appointment for the next day. The technician came out and fixed the problem which was fairly easy. The air circulation was blocked by some ice which was removed, which solved the problem. He also vacuumed the coils. He was nice and efficient. The repair did not take long and no parts were replaced. The surprise was that the bill was $197.97. I would have given him a 5-star rating except I consider the the charges way too high.Service: Refrigerator/freezer repair

A Sears repairman came to my house about 2 months ago, replaced a small part, and charged me $429. My refrigerator kept running for long periods and making funny noises from time to time. Then it would stop for a week or two. Now, my refrigerator just keeps running and is barely keeping a required temperature. It won’t shut off. It seems that for $429 that my refrigerator should run for more than about 2 months. Now, I have to try to find a repairman on a Saturday.

When I first called for service, I was told by the representative that the charge would be $75.00 but go towards the repairs if I decided to have it repaired, etc. When the serviceman arrived, he said it would be $125.00 and that it would NOT go towards the repair. He blew out a blocked sensor, and the bill all total was about #325.00. Ridiculous!!! Also, why are the representatives answering the phones not knowledgeable about the fees? I will never use this service again, period! I would not even give them a 1.Service: Oven/hob repair

The only reason I am giving it a 1 star is for a few staff members that work at Sears that wasn't involved in my situation but still managed to help us. This is the worst store I've ever shopped at. You can never find anyone in the store, shelves are always out of what you are looking for, and they are so disorganized. I have been trying to return a mattress that was the wrong one for a month now! I can't wait to have nothing to do with them again!

Bought a large item and was told at checkout that I'd get a percent discount saving me hundreds of dollars if I opened a Sears card, so I did. Credit card statement shows up, and it turns out that this is a percent discount only UP TO $35! (I'd never have opened a card for a measly $35 discount!) I called to get a resolution, and our local store manager basically said "though sh%#." There was also another problem with the order, but that was the biggest one! Sears is not doing well as a company, so I thought I'd throw them a little business. Never again.

The ABSOLUTE WORST retail expierence I've ever had. The one woman that helped me was extremely effecient and nice, but as far as customer service and online organization I would rate this expierence a 1/5.
