Definitely a nostalgic step back in time. The store is wonderfully preserved from the '30s. The smell, wooden plank floors & walls, & sounds of being surrounded by it while you browse...awesome!You can even rent out(AirBNB I believe) the back of the store that's got 2 rooms, a small bathroom, & a living room.

Gap Mercantile is an old-fashioned general store and tourist center for visitors to the Ouachita Mountain foothills. The mercantile (in operation since 1932) features antiques, collectibles, souvenirs, retro candy, and glass-bottled soda pops, and more. You'll also find a host of Arkansas products like jellies, jams, and coffee, along with crafts made by local artists: local pottery, paintings, and other Ouachita Mountain crafts.
