BMO Harris Bank, N.A. is an American banking organization based out of Chicago, Illinois. In 1882, Norman Wait Harris created N.W. Harris & Co, a municipal bond broker. Harris Trust and Savings Bank came about in 1907, which then was part of a merger with Chicago National Bank in 1960 and became Harris Bankcorp, Inc. in 1972. Bank of Montreal acquired Harris in 1984 as what it is today. A member of the Federal Reserve System, BMO Harris Bank holds branches in the states of Arizona, Florida, Indiana, Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri and Wisconsin. With over 600 branches and 1,300 ATMs, BMO Harris employs 14,500 staff members.
