I went to deposit money into the bank machine and it counted the incorrect amount. Then returned $450 less then I deposited when I canceled the deposit. I spoke with the teller and they said they would solve it for me and call me when they received my money back from the machine. To no avail they did not call me nor has my money been returned to me. Would not recommend using this bank.

Impossible to call this branch without going through a central RBC phone system that plays music and keeps you on hold for a long long time and forces one to negotiate with a bot entering all sorts of information until you scream "agent, agent agent" in utter frustration. It's really unfortunate that RBC has withdrawn this previous client friendly direct phone access to one's local branch. For seniors and those mobility impaired it's a major problem if one needs to speak with one's local branch. Having been a loyal RBC client for over 40 years, I now regret that. I would switch to a local credit union were it not for all the banking setups I have with RBC.

I find banks in general are all pretty much the same! However this bank offers a good number of tellers so your wait is not as it might be in another bank. Their staff pleasant and professional ! Thank you and try it out ?

I had to wait for 30 minutes to get a call through, which was an issue in itself (they assumed I was a member which I am not and wanted me to enter my card number) only to have the person who finally answered forwarded me to the branch where my call was not answered and the mail box was full.

Opened an account for one reason, was very clear on what I needed and was told it wasent a problem. Once it was done and because of the type of account I can't close it and it dosent do the only thing I opened it for. I find half the time I get an ok teller but the rest of the time they are indifferent and kind of rude. I got an offer in the mail last week, when I went in they backed out. Now I'm not sure if this is the standard of all royal banks or just the one in sechelt. I have never delt with them before now because I have always been advised not to. I normally only deal with BMO and CIBC and wish I had never entered their bank.
