I bought a Abba 1300 10 lb bag at 59.99. I got home and was only able to fill 2 old Abba 1300 tubs at 2.75lbs each. (Which they sell for 21.99) my fault for trusting them and not making them weigh the bag before buying. Be Aware and double check everything when buying from this store.

Just spent 15 in shipping to bird store and it will take 7 DAYS TO REACH NORTH VAN from Broadway store. When I called they said they didn't care about it, or that my lovebird Rio is out of food. Ian now shopping for the same exact food and treats from Amazon. What a shame.Thought I could trust these people.

A super rude old men with long hair. I’ve been buying up to a pound of blue minerals for my birds for several years and never had any problems. One time I called to make sure they had them, he rudely replied that they don’t sell them and told me to go somewhere else, before he hung up on me. I jumped in my car and went to the store. When I got there , they had blue minerals available.Today, I went to buy them again but he said that they have only small bags and sell only a couple of them a year. Which is a lie. I buy big bags on regular bases. They mix them for me if they don’t have them upfront.The old men refused to sell me blue minerals because he’s too lazy to mix a large bag. Terrible customer service.

Previous owner was great. New owner, not so much. Always check expiration dates of any food products. They put the soon expiring ones on the front. Never buy the ziplocked food treats at the cash. I suspect they are expired. They never give an invoice unless i ask for one. A credit card receipt is not an invoice and they know it (no invoice given means a cash sale). Note the no return or exchange policy on anything purchased. Note the signs posted everywhere that they prosecute shoplifters….sure makes a shopper feel welcomed. Been going there since the store was founded by the original owners in the 90’s and subsequent owners. They were always welcoming and and sold quality products. If one wants to cheap out and feed pets expired food, then youve found your place. No, the vet clinic upstairs has nothing to do with this shop. Btw, the clinic upstairs also sell Harrison and Lafeber foods for a better option.

I often buy my bird his treats from this place and also his toys and I've even bought his carrying bag about 5 years ago, I'm hoping this place is open on Saturdays so I can look for another carring cage or bag.

The people here are knowledgeable and genuinely seem to love birds. I won't go anywhere else for things for my bird anymore. End less bird toys.

Everything is expensive here and I don’t like their no return no exchange policy. All sales are final. They should be more flexible.

Keeps getting more and more expensive. Items have gone up $300.00 to $800.00 more than they were a year or two previousKinda crazy I was gonna buy a $800.00 cage but bow that it's 1,300 or 1,600 plus....solid no thanks

The Asian lady working there seems unnecessarily angry and paranoid. She is often mad and aggressive for unknown reasons. For example, she:-whips paper away aggressively at the cashier-glares at people and asks in a very angry tone “do you need help,” and then a minute or two later, follows you and glares at you, making it obvious that she’s looking you up and down for a few seconds, thus making things super awkward (why would anybody ask her for help when she speaks in an angry accusative tone?)-says things like “I’m not the only one working here” when you’re ready to pay for something and she’s working on stacking something else at the cashier-tells the other junior guy working at the cashier that he needs to get me to pay for an item that I already paid for when I was holding the item walking around the storeShe scares people away and makes people feel like they shouldn’t ask for help or questions. I think she often assumes people are guilty before they are proven innocent and is paranoid of something or someone. I wanted to stay longer in the store to find a stringy toy for my pet bird, but was scared to stay longer by her unnecessarily mad tone and demeanour, and thus I couldn’t peacefully pick a toy.
