So after many return visits and 3yrs later here I am again. 12' f-350
Paying for extensive work done by level 1 customz I feel I have been mistreated /misled or sabotaged you decide.
I dropped my truck off on oct 22nd 2022 for a new turbo(stock turbo was worn out) and a full inspection to make my truck reliable to tow my 16k toy hauler, as the month of November went on I was quoted(o er the phone)15-20k initially, and when I picked up my truck it was more like 35k +, yes a long list of parts replaced ... but I was led to believe it would not be more than 25k. (Many calls during the work getting done)
Upgraded to BD screamer turbo kit, manifolds, all steering components and steering box, all 4 corners brake job, shocks, rear diff carrier bearings, trans pan Upgrade, trans pressure controller, u joints, both radiators and pumps, tensioner and idlers, full fluid service ect....
After the first major repair bill I went back more than a few times for poor quality finish such as; loose clamps, bolts , emergency brake not working/out of adjustment, crooked steering wheel, lost bullydog tunes, engine brake wiring throwing engine light, rear brakes pads dragging, radiator wind dam not fastened, turbo boot not put on flange properly, intercooler cold side pipe upgrade kit bent and loose, both rear axles were walking back and forth on their bolts when shifting to reverse and drive (making a metal snapping noise), the new turbo had a warranty claim for base plate gasket oil leak, and just too many long visits and down time.
Now as of oct 2025 I found cross threaded shock bolt, upper intake bolts backed off, turbo boot loose again, (second time) allowing dirt and debris into turbo, while I was looking under my turbo i found a oil soaked rag laying under the turbo(hard to see)...and after checking the turbo s/n # and model #'s, I found the wrong (different)turbo in my truck, my receipt reads a stage 2 BD screamer part # and the turbo in my truck reads a stage 1 BD screamer part#.
I cant begin to tell you how insufferable my experience has been dealing with many return trips to have things done right the second/third time.
Im hoping to have this turbo issue resolved in a propt timely fashion. Hopes and prayers!!

Don’t bother taking your truck here if you just want it repaired, they will diagnose and try to upsell you and when you refuse the unnecessary work they will not do anything. Complete waste of time. Techs were polite though.

I have been searching for a diesel repair shop for years with no success. They either dont return your call, do terrible work, or dont care about what they are actually working on. Chris and ALL the guys at level 1 went above and beyond with taking care of me and my work truck..... so much so that I decided to do alittle custom work too. My truck is my office and my advertizing and i need it to be relieable and look good. I even had an issue that wasnt even related to the work they did and John took the time to come over and fix the problem and educate me even more. Thank you guys and highly appreciated the work, service, and on going service. See you soon for new tuning.
Cant thank you enough

Just competed 170k servicing for my 2006 Ford F350 6.0 litre diesel truck. Carrying a camper now most times - Chris and his team did a fantastic job on the truck. Very fair pricing for the high level work they carried out. Truck is driving like new. Upgraded the Turbo, installed INSIGHT CTS3 Vehicle Monitor System display complete with EGT sensor, installed sway bars. His team even undercoated my truck with B'laster Surface Shield that I supplied. The attention to detail and professional workmanship is second to none. I am looking forward to using this truck for at least another 8 years - so far with his team's support the truck has been an absolute pleasure to drive and haul my camper with. Thank you ChrisA couple of years ago now, Chris delivered on making my 2006 Ford 350 diesel dealer proof. The modifications were spot on and at a reasonable price. I am looking forward to keeping this truck another 8 years.Had a rat problem in the wiring harness over the summer. Chris did a fantastic job getting me back on the road.

Great place!! After travelling cross country and visiting many mechanics along the way I find this one to be one of my two favorites.I got an appointment on short notice and they fixed the problem efficiently and professionally without selling me any extra tests, parts, services... A nice extra was that there was absolutely no waiting time. They seem very trustworthy and I would absolutely go back. I wished there were more places like this...

A typical Backyard Mechanic. Will tell you something is wrong that isn't. Seems to just want to sell you parts you don't need. I would go to a bigger garage with more of a trusted reputation.
