I am absolutely thrilled to share my exceptional experience with Dr. Sanchez and Dr. Karen Klentox at Companion Veterinary Clinic in Auburn. From the moment I walked in, I knew I had discovered a gem of a practice!
Despite their bustling schedule, the team went above and beyond to accommodate my dog's needs, even allowing for a last-minute drop-off, which I deeply appreciated. I was initially hesitant to leave my dobie Khyber, who is my everything, but then Dr. Sanchez surprised me by coming outside to introduce herself. Her warm demeanor immediately put me at ease.
Dr. Sanchez took the time to thoroughly discuss my dog's issues, treatment options, and medication suggestions. She recommended an incredible healing spray that works wonders for wounds and skin irritations—truly magical! She explained probiotics in detail and provided invaluable insights on the best ways to administer his medications and ointments. It was clear that even amidst the morning rush, she was dedicated to ensuring I fully understood everything for my dog's best outcome.
The technicians and staff at Companion Veterinary Clinic matched the high standard set by the veterinarians. They were friendly, knowledgeable, and organized, making me feel right at home. Dr. Sanchez and Dr. Klentox, in particular, were a breath of fresh air; their passion for their work and genuine care for both pets and their owners shone through in every interaction, giving me confidence in the care my pet was receiving.

They took my dog in the very next day even though she was a new patient. My regular vet could not get her in until July! She had an allergy related ear infection. They cleaned her ears, gave a one time antibiotic to the ear that was bugging her and gave her an allergy shot. She has been great ever since! I will definitely go back.

Our Casey dog had foxtails in his feet which we noticed Friday evening. After calling several practices Saturday morning, Companion Veterinary was the only veterinary able to fit him into their busy schedule. I was so appreciative. The entire staff was so caring. He received excellent care. The doctor and technician were careful to explain his procedure and later how to care for his wounds and how to do his medications. I especially appreciated the follow-up call Sunday morning. Big thanks to your thoughtful staff!

*Unacceptable Care - A Warning to Pet Owners*

I recently had a deeply concerning experience at this clinic with my puppy, which I feel compelled to share as a warning to other pet owners. The vet's examination was inconclusive, and they proposed an unnecessary and costly treatment plan ($600-$900) that required sedation. When I sought a second opinion from a nearby vet, they promptly diagnosed an ear infection and provided effective treatment without sedation.
I am alarmed that this clinic prioritized profits over my puppy's well-being, charging me $155 for an inconclusive exam while neglecting to provide clear and appropriate care. As a pet owner, it is our responsibility to ensure our animals receive the best possible care. I strongly advise seeking alternative veterinary care that prioritizes your pet's health and well-being over financial gain.

We were very happy with the care that Lucy received.
The entire staff, from the receptionist to the nurse and then the doctor were all very knowledgeable, helpful and accommodating to Lucy’s needs and ours.
Every part of Lucy’s plan of care was discussed and explained to us.
We were kept well informed during Lucy’s stay and were given excellent care and discharge instructions.

Our dog was very ill and we need to put her to rest to ease her pain. The entire staff including the vet were so compassionate, kind, and caring. They made an incredibly difficult situation and day a bit easier. We have been to other local clinics, and this one by far is the best. We will continue to visit this vet in the future for our other pets. Can’t recommend them enough.
