This is my new favorite shop in the area! Have found wonderful deals and have gotten to class up my home. Love their large baskets and light fixtures. Lucked out and walked in during a week they were clearing out getting ready for their next shipment and everything was an extra 50% off other than bedding and wallpapers. Was able to bring home a beautiful console unit for 1/4th the full retail price! Whenever you know you want something make sure to take it to the front and have them put it aside for you, things go fast here! But keep coming back if you see something that got taken, they get new things and I've gotten second chances for most of what I've seen there before.

Poor customer service !We bought a large lamp shade and it was damaged on delivery.The product is very delicate and is placed in a large box with no cushioning or protection - so any fall during delivery will damage it.Even after explaining this to Serena & Lily, they refused to take responsibility of the damage.Now we have to buy a new product all together and all the money paid for the lamp shade and electrician to install was wasted.Hardly what I would expect from Serena & Lily :(

Pretty stuff if you like the ocean look. Meh. No returns under any circumstances. Beware. Considering this is an outlet, in an urban part of Berkeley, they are quite snooty. Customer service is zero.

They will not answer their phone and you cannot leave a message. Drove 2 hours each way and they were closed even though the website said they were open.

I went in last week and found some great deals on pillow shams - there was one employee who was very kind and helpful. I was there for over an hour - shopping and deciding what would work best for my home, and the other woman working there basically spent the entire time socializing with some other women who were there - at one point there were 3 of us in line to pay and one employee ringing everyone up, while this other gal just stood in back talking to her friends. When I did manage to get her attention to ask a question, she was very snooty. I guess I don't fit the profile of someone who spends a ton of money at their outlet. Disappointing experience.

I visited the outlet for bedding but ended up buying so much more! Such great deals at the outlet with new merchandise every week. The sales people were so helpful too.

This is feedback for the ability to get in touch with the store. Last time I was there (3 months ago), I got some great stuff. I wanted to see if they had a rug in the size I needed before driving the hour to get there and no one answered the phone on the multiple days I called AND no one answered the email. This is all fine if they just need you to come in and look. It is a pain, but I would do it -- I just wish they could state this on the website.

With gas at over $6/gallon, it would be helpful if you provided availability of an item over the phone. Perhaps it would take too much of the staff's time, IDK, but I certainly won't spend the money to drive over here again. Too bad. I'm looking at very expensive items that are clearly not worth full retail. The time I went, there was a large percentage of damaged furniture in the store. Clearly an indicator of the quality to expect.

This store is so much fun. It feels like a treasure hunt every time. Serena & Lily's aesthetic is so appealing to me -- all the rattan, sea grass, whitewashed wood, capiz and shells; beachy, sophisticated, boho. I can't afford the higher priced items even on sale, but I've managed to get a few smaller effects that have added to my coastal decor in my Capitola home in a classy way. I've always had great customer service experiences at this store. When you see a product you like, you've got to pull it off the floor immediately so other covetous patrons can't grab it -- I've had people tell me they want something I'm holding in my hands if I decide not to buy it; the employees graciously hold my picks behind the counter for me. One time I was looking at rugs and an employee pulled up all the images of the rugs I was interested in for me on the website with an iPad since they can't unroll them for you. Another time I was buying a sconce light and the cashier grabbed me a brand new one still in the box to replace the display model. The inventory changes all the time and there's always a good selection with a lot of cool stuff. Occasionally something might be a little dented but mostly the merchandise is in perfect condition and good quality.

Great products and prices however they never answer the phone which is ridiculous. I called the.l corporate office and they said their staff was too busy but when you go in they are never that busy. I drove all the way there on 12/31 (Friday) and they were open according to Yelp. If you don't have staff to answer the phones then at least keep Yelp updated with your hours.

This is a reliable place to find bedding, pillow cases and now even wallpaper at a discounted rate. I haven't yet found furniture but I know many do. While I agree with the reviews that the customer service can be snippy, this is not the reason I go.
