We have banked with Chase for many years, and have substantial accounts with them. We were trying to close a Real Estate Transaction and needed to open a Trust Account for my mother in law who has dementia. Her two sons have Power Of Attorney over All her Finances and Health Directive, they said they would need to send the Trust and POA to their legal team back East to approve...we had to wait over a week and they denied it for some ridiculous reason (they had not even looked at the amended POA). So needless to say all I could do was cry...what are we going to do? We've had a car loan with American First Credit Union for a few years, so I thought I would give them a call. It was a blessing that Joe Peregretti answered the call, I shared with him our dilemma and what we needed to be done, he was so kind and patient with me, I was frantic...he said perhaps they could help, and asked for me to bring in the documents, and he would forward to Corporate and advise. The very next day Peggy the VP from Corporate called and asked a few questions and asked for 2 documents. The information was provided and this Great Credit Union and their staff helped a family in great need! We will now be able to pay for Mom's care until she goes to heaven! Thank You Again Joe for your Professionalism and kindness toward our Family.... Clients for Life P.S. we will be moving all our accounts to American First Credit Union

We want to say a very special THANK YOU to Marta Navarez who helped us open our business account. She was absolutely fantastic!!! We had all sorts of questions and some special needs and she got us through everything so easily. She was diligent, patient and so thoughtful. And when I call or see her outside of the credit union, she know us. That gives us that "hometown" feeling. It's awesome. Marta, you are a Rockstar! Thank you so much! We will probably be back to open a personal account.

Brooke D. was incredibly helpful when we took out our auto loan. She was always responsive and detail oriented and helped us through every step of the way. She even stayed late to ensure that we got our check out on time. I can't recommend her highly enough. Super happy with Brooke and the team at American First Credit Union. I went with my grandmother because she was having issues with her card .Right when i walked in Martha greeted us and we sat down with her she was really patient with my grandmother thats hard of hearing and she even went outside with her to help her use the ATM. I just want to thank Martha for being so kind and patient with her. She really went above and beyond to make her feel comfortable.

Recently moved to the area and was looking into different credit unions and I'm very happy I chose American First. Marta helped me open up my account and was very accommodating to my needs. Super easy process and friendly staff.

Very disappointed with American First Credit Union. I have been a member for almost a year and a half. ( Year & a half too long) I switched because I wanted more of a member experience than a bank boy was I wrong. Mobile online banking doesn't work. Keeps loading and can't check your transactions. Zelle works off and on. You call customer service and wait over a hour from them to answer. Placed a ticket for them to research my mobile banking over a year ago. Never heard anything back. (Doesn't surprise me) There not for there members. Watch out and run. Don't bank with these people. Not a happy customer and will be in the process of closing all my accounts

As a first timer with opening a banking account, they helped me step by step and informed me about every little detail. Thanks to Steve, I understood what I was getting myself into and had no questions to ask because of how in detail he was in explaining things. I recommend to anyone who is thinking of opening a bank account to consider these guys, they're really nice and are with you every step of the way.

I had the best experience opening a new checking account with Melissa Leon, I had a ton of questions and without hesitation or having to ask someone else , she answered all and I was out the door in a very short time. I will update my review as I use the online functions etc.

Run as fast as you can and as far away from this credit union as possible. I would give them less than 1 star if I could still write a review about their poor banking practices. If you want to do simple things like withdraw $3000 in person, they don't have the cash to give you then and there. If you want to transfer money through Zelle, or through regular account transfers, good luck! The automated systems are so bad, you can't even do online banking because you get caught in loops that say you are using the wrong PIN, even when you are not. Try talking to someone in person? They do not know how to resolve issues or get you to someone who can. They'll transfer you to another phone number that takes in a hell loop that won't resolve your issues either. When you add someone to your account, they won't let you create a PIN for that card inside the credit union. You have to do it by calling, and then you guessed it! You're in another hell loop on the phone. I have never had a worse experience with any banking establishment. We are going elsewhere and NOT soon enough.

Hello! I have nothing but praise for this institution. I've been a member for 30 years. Back then I worked for a grocery store and American First was their credit union. I started my account with $5, but never used their services for five years until I changed jobs and joined their credit union and tried to get a car loan. I was denied a $1,500 loan! So I went to American First, reminding you I had never used them for anything, I just remembered that I did open an account with them. I walked into the branch greeted with smiles and I told them what I needed and the response I got was, no problem, let get you that loan! Best $5 I ever spent! 30 years later, 5 car loans and much, much more I will never use any other credit union.

Overall I'm really happy that we opened our account with American First Credit Union. I dealt with Brooke Davila over the phone and she was really patient and helpful throughout the whole process of my wife and I buying out our car. The. when we went into the branch the process was easy and fast ! Thanks guys for be awesome

Amazing experience! I recently opened an account at this location, Melissa Leon was exceptional, she went above and beyond assisting me and making this experience super pleasant! She also followed up with me afterwards. This is what I called excellent customer service!
