My colleague was 800+ miles from home driving our company Sprinter Van back from Los Angeles to the top of Northern California when the AC went out. Stuck in traffic and miserable I started calling shops while my colleague worked on finding a safe place to get off the highway. After speaking with a few shops the gentleman at Star Auto made me feel confident he could help and directed me to get her there so he could check out the van, which I did. Within an hour, she as on the road, though he couldn’t completely fix the problem with the little time we gave him, he remedied it so she could make it home safely, with AC. This shop and their staff are amazing good people, highly recommended.

Jerry was quick to respond, professional and incredibly pleasant. Most shops don't think of the human being behind the wheel, so it was refreshing to see the extra effort and care he and his colleague put in to make sure repairs were done right. Took my car in to get two major issues fixed and they saw and repaired several more issues they stumbled upon (old wires that were sticking together!!) at NO additional cost simply because it would be dangerous to ignore. I made a follow up check up a few days later also at no additional cost. I can't thank him enough.

Was given a quote of $450 to get my car lock fixed somewhere else, called this shop and was able to get it done same day and wasn't even charged for labor since it was such an easy fix! Very grateful for their kindness and integrity, highly recommend!

Extremely overpriced. Beware in doing any business with them . The owner and the mechanic are aggressive, malicious and manipulative. They will screw you over and get back at you, especially when you call them out on their b.s. Stay away!!!!!

This place was great! Jerry was very kind and an honest man. Gave me a great quote on fixing many issues with my car and it's working great now. Very affordable, quick, and I love that it's him and his brother who run the shop. Such a gem of a place. Worth of every penny. Thanks Jerry!!

This mechanic shop is a real gem. It's not a very large shop but they work wonders with what they have.I dropped off a car in the morning to inspect an issue where the car was shaking like a mad man at various speeds above 40mph. I pulled up in the morning, lucky me there was a lift already open. The car went up and they found the problem and solution in just a few mins. It was thoroughly explained to me what, how and why it happened. Left the car for those repairs and car was good to go in 3 hours.While the car was still up on the lift, I called in for another symptom, with breaking and the e-break. They already noticed it and offered a replacement. And our later. I was in my car, and it feels like it came right off the lot. 21 year old car feels like new again..... Maybe even better with the quality Japanese parts that were recommended.

Dont ever go to this place.i had a tire puncture in my car and to fix it he was going to charge me $40.usually its $20 max.he saw i had a flat tire already and no choice.called out my friend,jacked up the car and fixed it for $20.DONT EVER GO HERE!

I was so pleased with this shop. I had several other shops charging me crazy amounts of money for my brakes (drum and shoe replacement). I just moved to LA and was really looking for a reliable honest mechanic and I’m so glad I found the place. Jerry and his team did an excellent job, quick and reasonably priced. Long of the short, I can definitely recommend this shop. I had a huge amount of major repairs done including my starter, water pump, oil change, fuel pump module, fuel pump, coolant reservoir tank, thermostat, timing chain, and timing cover gasket. Yikes! It was expensive but fair repair. I priced checked online and called a couple other shops and it was +/-250 dollars on a 4,400 dollar quote. He completed the work in good time and kept clear communication open. I got my car back and it worked great for a few days, then I started to have issues related to his work. I took it back to the shop, explained the issues. He pulled up my bill from 2 weeks ago and said, 'leave the keys I'll fix it today.' He got my last couple issues fixed at no charge (which lets be clear is what he should have done) but it is nice to not have to argue and have someone who cares for the quality of there work and business reputation. My roommates also take their cars here and none of us have had an issues with star autos work and follow through. In the end they stand behind their work, and you get what you paid for. If you have an issues with your car, and you need it fixed fast and fair, but maybe not the cheapest, I can recommend this place. Note 3% fee on credit cards.Services: Auto maintenance
