Had a great experience at Volvo Burlingame. Bought my 2025 XC60 from Vincent, who was friendly, patient, and made the whole process smooth and easy. Adrian, the finance manager, was also very nice and professional. All the paperwork was handled efficiently, and everything went seamlessly from start to finish. Highly recommend this dealership for a stress-free car-buying experience!

I was not satisfied with the recent service at the Volvo Burlingame Center. There was no vacuuming done at all inside the car, and there were noticeable lubricant or grease marks left on the interior door panel. When I showed the marks to the staff, they asked a technician to wipe them — to my surprise, the technician used only tissue paper and water. At least a proper cloth and cleaning solution should have been used. I expected better attention to detail and professionalism from a Volvo service center.

This review is for the service department and manager. I brought this car in for service about a month ago for multiple issues, one of them being squeaky brakes. My car was at the dealership for a week and the advisor told me that the techs took the wheels off and checked everything multiple times and that there are no brakes squeaking. Immediately after getting the car back, my brakes were squeaking again and now my car was also rattling from underneath whenever I drive over bumpy roads (this issue was never present before I brought it to Putnam Volvo for service). My car threw another check engine light today and I called back to schedule an appointment for it and to have the brakes/underneath the car looked at again. They told me that there are no available appointments until weeks out if a loaner is needed, but the woman over the phone also said the service manager will call me back to see if there is another option. Aldo called me back regarding the issues with my car that weren't fixed about a month ago. I explained everything to him and he began to argue with me about the car and said that there is no way the heat shield rattle could have been caused by the dealership as they didn't take apart the car at all while it was there. I am a little confused by this statement because the service advisor told me that the car was taken apart to check the brakes, which is inconsistent with that Aldo is saying. The response is very unprofessional and lacking customer service. Upon looking at other reviews, it seems like this dealership has caused damage to other customers cars and never took responsibility for it... Avoid this place if you can, there's a reason they are the lowest rated Volvo dealership in the Bay Area. It's a shame that this dealership is tarnishing Volvo's reputation.

I was charged $520 just for a diagnostic check, then given no cooperation when I asked for part numbers for the items they claimed needed replacement. The estimate for repair was over $10,000 — far beyond reasonable. I found another shop to complete the work for a fraction of that cost. Very disappointing experience, with little transparency or helpfulness. I would not recommend.

The visit to Putnam Volvo actually began with a visit to Putnam Chrysler/Jeep/Dodge to pick up my Fiat 500 Abarth (iykyk) from service. The goal was to sell my 2016 Abarth, but as Sam was the sales manager for Volvo, we ended up trading it in for an XC40 Recharge (very practical, not quite as fun). Haggling is painful for me, but Sam's team made it relatively easy. The trade in was unexpected, so they even helped me clean out the Fiat. Post sales communication has been great too (I didnt have the title on me). The folks at Putnam Volvo are thoughtful, patient, and most importantly, honest and fair. Thanks again, Putnam Volvo team!

I had my Volvo in for servicing. When I left, there were horizontal scratches on the steering wheel that were not there when I dropped it off. I returned to show the manager, Aldo.
I expected some form of customer service. The marks are not major, but they definitely happened when the car was in their hands. Instead Aldo insisted that the scratches were old, he denied any reasoning, and said he would not do anything to repair it.
Do not expect to be treated well here. The customer is always wrong.
Update: 5/24/25, I contacted the dealer a while ago, as suggested by their response to this review. He had no idea what I was talking about, and there has been zero resolution as of this date. Unfortunately, that is exactly what I expected. Their customer service is non-existent.
