One of the worst, most inconvenient experiences to date…and the issue is still on going. A few weeks ago, we scheduled an appointment to have our windshield replaced on our Audi Q8 Etron. As people do, we took time out of our work day, coordinated cars to drive as we have small children and car seats, and dropped off the car. After a few hours, Safelite called us and said they ordered the wrong glass. The mistake wasn’t realized until they took off the existing glass, causing the crack to become worse. Also, they managed to chip some paint around the edges of the hood pictured below. (We didn’t realized the chips in the paint until later on) At the time, we didn’t make too big a deal of it as people make mistakes. We had rescheduled an appointment for today at 9am, and once again arranged for time off work along with borrowing cars for our small children. Mind you this is a couple weeks later so enough time could pass for them to order the right glass. Well wouldn’t you know, upon arrival to the shop they stated they forgot to give us a call letting us know they hadn’t ordered the glass. Not only that, the manager wouldn’t come out of his office to address the situation because he was, “In a meeting.” He couldn’t take a couple minutes and rectify the problem? No apologies? Not even the receptionist was helpful. She just stated he’s in a meeting. I had to ask for his card, it wasn’t even offered. She did make a comment she gets yelled at all the time which makes complete sense considering how this location is running its business.I have since been in contact with corporate and supposedly will be receiving a call from their district manager Tim Foreman. I will give credit where credit is due, customer service agents Adrian and Mark were helpful in expediting our issue to the district manager. I am not hopeful as of yet our situation will be resolved expediently, and will continue posting reviews of my experience in all major platforms along with contacting the better business bureau regarding our experience.Icing on the cake, I’m told we have to pay upfront to fix the paint chips and then will be reimbursed to the tune of $1700 dollars. An absolutely atrocious, horrible experience. My advise, stay away from this location.

These guys claim they can work with the new forward collision technology now part of so many wi shields, but they couldn’t do mine and now it doesn’t work and my dealer says they can’t repair it either so today I’m taking my 2021 RAM back and talking to a manager to see what they can do. I will keep you posted as to the results because if they are unwilling to fix it then I would recommend that you find another option for vehicles with forward collision technology.

Couldn't get a real person to answer the call. Everything is automated so it's a merry-go-round.

I scheduled a new front windshield install 3 days ahead of time, and the installer (Fernando) called the morning of the installation to confirm the that he would be here to do the installation within the time slot (between 1 and 5 PM), and at 4:15 he called to say he no longer could come and the installation would need to be rescheduled for the following week. I had already taken all the trim pieces off from around the windshield so Fernando could be done quickly, and I had already pre-paid for the complete install, also I had taken the afternoon off from work to be there. SafeLite pretty much screwed me over and I'll never, EVER use them or reccomend them in my life! Do yourself a great big favor and go elsewhere for windshield replacement! Rather than rescheduling it I just canceled the appointment and got a refund,... and get this... the refund was minus a cancellation fee! Never again!

They have a labeling problem in their warehouse - sent the wrong window glass 3 times. Tech said it's happening a lot. Each repeat order took over a week = 4 weeks! They have a quality control/training issue with many of their techs. The first 3 had no clue that the trim of the window was also damaged. The 3rd tech was well trained and noted the trim. Turns out Safelite can't repair it. After a month we had to go elsewhere anyway. Insurance sends you to Safelite so they can save money,- it's cheaper and you get what you pay for. The car dealer was a lot more but after deductible the total was only $100 more out of pocket. It only takes 2 days to get it done properly at the dealer. Stay away from Safelite.

⚠️ CONSUMER WARNING ⚠️Owners of the following late model vehicles: CHEVROLET TAHOE and SUBURBAN • GMC YUKON and YUKON XL • CADILLAC ESCALADE all models. DO NOT TAKE YOUR VEHICLE TO SAFELITE. Safelite is not capable of properly installing windshields and they are not able to properly return the vehicle safety equipment to the original manufacturers provided safe driving condition. They have caused damage to the cruise control system and will not take any responsibility for the damaged safety system that they have caused to malfunction. RECOMMENDATION: Find an alternative windshield repair/replacement company and you will be far better off. This lack of customer care is a major safe driving hazard and is not a concern of Safelite in any way. FAIR WARNING. As an added feature they do not answer their telephone and do not currently have a way to leave a voice message. Hello. Goodbye. After using their services on four vehicles over many years, the end has arrived. Full stop. No value any longer offered by Safelite. Buyer beware.⚠️ CONSUMER WARNING ⚠️ ⚠️ AVOID SAFELITE ⚠️

What a major disappointment. After utilizing Safelite AutoGlass for several years on four previous transportation units needing a new windshield or rock damaged minor crack/chip repair or replacement, carried out promptly and most professionally, what the heck happened to their customer service at the Camarillo location. Sadly we are considering the preparation necessary to file a false advertising claim. After several attempts that have fallen on deaf ears and a non responsive attitude to properly complete the new window replacement by connecting the safety electronics (safe driving functionality - technology). No one at Safelite AutoGlass seems to be responsible or professional to take care of a customer and their concerns for driving safely after not completing the new windshield replacement and connecting and calibrating the safety electronics. We would put the value at one on a scale of 1 to 10. We can see through the new window just fine, however their inability to complete and connect the proper factory safe driving systems is a major problem that they do not want to help resolve. I am confident thousands of customers have received a good value for the windshield replacement. Not with us any longer. At this time we can no longer recommend Safelite due to the serious lack of completion and their lack of concern for customer safety. Not so safe lite. What a mess.Several lost and disappointed, multiple family member of former Safelite Customers.

I took my car in for a Wind Shield replacement and it was replaced quickly during my appointment. However, upon picking it up the windshield was whistling. They took my car on a test drive and found that it was indeed whistle and made a best guess that the wind shield might have a slight tilt upon installation and wasn't oriented appropriately. We had to make an immediate claim on the warranty for the wind shield but now I have to wait a week for the adhesive to "dry" on a wind shield that was "professionally" installed. The cost was pretty low, but so was the result quality. If you are looking for quick cheap work, get it done here; but with fair warning. For perspective, this is not a one time thing. While I was in the lobby two other customers complained of the same whistling issue. Buyer beware: A 3 hour install can take weeks for them to correct. For the "customer service" that is replying to posts. Those one liners apologizing will not work. I would like a resolution with more effort on your behalf. Feel free to message me or give me contact information on how to correct this and remedy your businesses mistake.

DO NOT DO BUSINESS HERE. I had a minor crack on my windshield and needed to get it replaced so I did, no big deal. After installation, I noticed some of my notifications on my dash were going off regarding service for my COLLISION CONTROL SYSTEM (huge safety issue) and CRUISE CONTROL SYSTEM (which both sensors are located in the rearview mirror.) So, I scheduled an appointment and went back to have them fix it.WELP, the technician told me that one of the other technicians had bumped something during removal of the windshield and that I had to go to the dealership to have it fixed AT THEIR EXPENSE, ON THEM (admission of fault.) OK, SO I take it to the dealership as instructed, and it turns out it would be $1500.00 to fix the problems and reset the system to make those notifications go away.Safelight didn't want to pay that. I brought my car in, in one condition and left with it in another. They avoided my phone calls intentionally multiple times. When I did get through, the rude lady who answered phones in the office was so insulting and unprofessional, she had the audacity to tell me "I'm not so sure what you're not understanding here." OH WHAT? EXCUSE ME??? Such a joke, poor customer service and communication skills. The store manager Nikki played dodge-my-phone-calls UNTIL I got a hold of the district manager, and HE WAS JUST AS USELESS. To avoid dealing with my husband and I, he passed me back off to Nikki. Nikki has no explanation and has no idea on why this happened TILL THIS DAY. Nikki sends me this bogus document made on Microsoft Word claiming it was a report from one of their computers that scans the vehicle "before" the work is started on the vehicle, and she says the problems "PRE-EXISTED," before they did the work. Well that's funny because I used cruise control on the way to the first appointment, and I had not seen those specific notifications EVER come up before on my dash. Well mysteriously the time stamps on the sent document DO NOT LINE UP WITH THE TIME I HAD THE WORK DONE. HMM. When I brought this to Nikkis' attention she had no idea why they didn't match up and she didn't want to say anything that could "make them liable." The District manager has NEVER followed up, checked in or GIVEN two *cares* about the situation...RED FLAG. Neither has store manager Nikki.Safelight refuses to fix the problem. The commercial is 1000% false advertising because I am unsatisfied and the job is unfinished and I have no answers from them or anyone. I feel like I'm at a complete dead end. I've even called other windshield replacement companies and dealerships, and say it is directly related to the sensors in the rearview mirror (I'm aware there are two points of sensors, one in the front bumper as well) and that something had to have happened during installation but Safelight fails to acknowledge that. Today I am driving my car with no functioning cruise control and no collision control warning or sensor. No accountability taken

I’d normally don’t write any reviews; however, I couldn’t hold this back so that this can help someone before they decide on their needs with their windshield repairs. If all other reviews are true, I am glad that this place worked for them, but I am afraid not for me. I’d never imagine that companies like this promise such a great experience and seamless process through the commercials on TVs, but it didn’t take a lot of effort to find out the other way much different experience than advertised. I did have such a terrible experience and highly recommend everyone think twice before coming here and researching the places. They don’t care about you and the experience you’d have at the end of your visit. It took me 6 or 7 visits to the Camarillo location because of the way they do business there giving you empty promises and causing delays in delivering the service. More serious is that you can’t find anyone at the location to to talk to, take care of your issue and listen to what you need to say. They are either out to lunch or not in. There is a gentleman sitting at the front desk who seems not to care at all and not even doing anything to ease your headache or trying to address the issue with the sense of urgency. They attempted to repair the crack which ended up even bigger crack than what was before. The front desk didn’t care too much of this like it is very common for them to create additional headache than you already have. They said I need to wait about 2 weeks because they ordered the wrong type, which I am still not understanding as to why because they claim that they are the professionals, and drive with the crack until they get a new windshield for my car. When I asked whether it is safe or not driving like this, they said that it is safe and OK to drive, which bothered me a lot. I still have a lot of questions in my mind how we can trust the companies like this promising that they can come to your location and be able to fix or even replace the windshield even though they can’t even order the right part and be able to repair the glass at their shop with all the tools at their fingertips.I will definitely not go back to this place as I made another appointment with a different company with better reviews. Hopefully this review will help someone and save some headache and time in advance. Thanks for reading.

Tech showed up last Friday with wrong windshield, took out old windshield and cracked it way more than it was , then said oh we can’t get new windshield until next week , then re installed old crack windshield and now I have no idea when he will be back because it’s impossible to talk to a human at safelite

Strictly for the fact you have no option unless to go to their shop to speak with a human. Otherwise you're dealing with automated recordings that gets you absolutely nowhere but to tell you to go online for your issue no matter what it is.
