Waited for help with money order/transfer. Self-checkout associate helped call Kim for assistance. After 15 minutes Kim never showed up. Cindy attempted to help but had no access to get into the system. Kim was in her office and when asked for help heard her slamming things. Poorest customer service!!

Thanks Chris, I forgot my key chain and credit card somewhere in the store when I shopped today, I was worried, car key, door keys and library cards all in, I freaked out, fortunately Chris helped me find it eventually, very appreciate it

I just wanted to take a moment and recognize Greg Silva from the Drive Up and Go Department who always goes above and beyond to give excellent customer service. He shows the customer how important he or she is to the business. Amazing experience each time. Pleasure doing business with Greg Silva!

I was running late and was rushing to get home before the Super Bowl started and remembered that I was supposed to pick up some snacks. Luckily this popped up right on my way home. Got my chips, salsa, cheese, wings etc. Quick in and out since it was mostly empty.

I should have read the reviews before coming here. I waited for a total of 45 minutes, after letting them know what space I was in, for a drive up order of only 5 items. It never came out. I currently have a foot injury and I can't walk, so I just left. Also, there is no option to cancel the order now. Thanks, Safeway.

Awesome Safeway location in the South Bay. The location at Argonaut in Saratoga is the worst. terrible customer service. RUDE, unhelpful guy who is a manager or assistant manager. But campbell is the complete opposite. If you cant find something, ask. they will take you to what you are looking for even if it isnt in their department. The bakery lady (Brandy?) helped me find puff pastry in frozen food section. So nice. The meat department was the same thing. Comes out and helps me look for what I wanted. The deli lady who slices the cold cuts helped me find the right ham, which was prosciutto, and it was perfect for the appetizers for a birthday dinner. Three departments, and three wonderful, nice, helpful people that got me through my list faster. I am never going back to Argonaut again. I dont know if this is further but I do know it is worth it to come here.

I ordered a Holiday Turkey Dinner on 11/19, to pick up on Thanksgiving morning at 10:00 am. Received my order number and confirmation email. We always cook, but this holiday we were too exhausted. My father is dying from a terminal illness, declining daily, we had brought him home from the hospital and called in Hospice care to help us. I arrived at the store at 10:00 am on Thanksgiving, went to the Deli to pick up. The Deli employee said all orders have been picked up. Gave her my name again and I showed her my email and she said oh we stopped taking orders before the 19th. She said my email was invalid. I was speechless. She said there's nothing I can do for you. I called to speak to the Store Manager Heather Thompson. Went over to ask for her, she came out of her office and said " I already know I don't need to hear your story, I cancelled your order." I asked why she didn't notify me as my phone number and email are on the order. She stated it was not her job to notify me, it was the online orders responsibility. It's not her fault. I asked what am I supposed to do now? She said she didn't care and there's nothing she could do, it wasn't her fault. (Safeway Customer Service later confirmed it was her responsibility to notify me of the cancellation).Astonished at this woman's rude, uncaring and evil attitude, I said a few choice words to her and left the store. I called a friend of mine who works for Safeway to vent. She happened to be at work, ran to her Deli Manager for help. The Deli Manager made one phone call to another store, they had an extra dinner and was holding it for me. That's all it took. These two women saved out Thanksgiving thank God. So why couldn't Heather Thompson and her Deli crew make calls to other stores? Why did they not care and want to help a customer out? I filed an official complaint a week ago. They said the District Manager would be calling me. I have yet to hear from anyone at Safeway. After reading other reviews on here, it's quite obvious Safeway condones this insane behavior by their employees, otherwise Heather would be gone. And don't waste your time replying to my complaint with how sorry you are. You aren't sorry, you're only sorry a complaint is on a public platform. Fire Heather Thompson or suspend her without pay for a few weeks. She needs to feel the sadness she put her customers through. Only reason I have one star is because you can't post the review without one.

This store has such bad reviews! I've been coming here for a decade and have never had a bad experience with any employees. Every employee I've interacted with has been helpful so . I've never used the bathroom here so I can't comment on that. I can usually find everything I want here. I like that they don't immediately throw away bananas that aren't green, I can always find ripe bananas for baking here. It looks like they have a great cake decorator, they have super cute Halloween cakes out!

Just horrible customer service skills and incredible laziness on the part of the store manager Heather! Pharmacy hasn't opened on time for two days in row now. First day store manager Heather said they had "sick calls" and it would open at 9:30 which it never did. Today I went at 9:30 and it wasn't open with no note or anything saying what was going on or when it open! When I spoke to Heather the store manager she said told me "they had sick calls what do you want me to do??? She is asking me what she should do?? How about not being lazy and leaving a note at pharmacy letting ppl know what's going on? How about not laughing when dealing with customers who have wasted their time waiting for pharmacy to open on time?? So to sum my review the store manager Heather seems to need guidance in doing her job maybe the district manager and get her some help asap?? I have made the district manager aware of the laziness and lack customer service skills from their employee Heather... hopefully things better I doubt!

Grocery shopping at Safeway was a rather disappointing experience. While the store had a decent selection of products, the overall quality and freshness of some items left much to be desired. The prices seemed to be on the higher side, and the sales and discounts were not particularly enticing. The store's layout was somewhat confusing, making it hard to find specific items quickly. Checkout lines were often long, leading to frustrating delays. Additionally, the customer service was hit or miss, with some employees being helpful while others seemed disinterested.

Every single time I visit this Safeway there are long wait times in the checkout lines and at the customer service desk. I sat at the customer service desk for 20 minutes, the lady in front of me was waiting 30 minutes for help. There were employees chatting at the self check out line this whole time, I know they saw us waiting. The employees at the checkout line paged for assistance at the customer service desk but yet no one showed up. I literally do not understand how this store stays open.

Safeway is run by evil people. I know this because: during the height of the Coronavirus epidemic, instead of helping people out, who were losing jobs or homes, they raised their prices. And then, once the pandemic was over, they raised their prices again. The cost of buying groceries at Safeway is absolutely disgusting. They should be ashamed of themselves. But as long as the public let's them get away with totally gouging them, they will continue to do so. They are a disgrace & should be closed down. Just sayin'.

I don't know why I keep coming to this place. This is definitely the last straw. Every time pork is on sale the cuts of pork are so inconsistent that you cannot fry the chops. Some are so thick and some are paper thin. No workmanship from the butchers. I don't mind having to buy 6 lbs so I can freeze them , but the cuts are inconsistent just like the rest of this store. Never going back.

I'm sorry to write such a bad review, but the handful of times I've been at this Safeway seems it's under poor management, as well as having a lot of homeless people in the parking lot and in the front of the store. There is a weed shop nearby along with a liquor store, and a 7-Eleven, so I'm sure that attracts the homeless people as well, but goodness! Being followed, or Asked for money as I am coming into buy a few groceries is not ideal. Within the store things seem clean, although in the produce section, there was moldy fruit still out. I saw molded tomatoes, coconuts, bananas, and potatoes! I would not shop at this store, unless you're buying box goods, and enter with a couple of friends since there's homeless people that my pastor/bug you for money. I really wish there was a way we could get the homeless people the mental health and medical help they need, but goodness!! I feel sorry for the employees that have to work here.I will also see the handful of employees I've had ringing me up, looked as if they were high, whether prescription or marijuana, and at today's particular, random pick up of bananas, they were only organic green bananas, which won't be ripe for a few days, but it's freezing outside, and I just needed them. Lol A manager who was a little bit on the thicker side bumped me with her behind, and I pushed forward into the ATM kiosk. I turned back around to figure out what happened and she had no idea. She even bumped me! Very rude, and I told the lady behind me to watch out for her behind! The lady laughed, and stepped out of the way. The manager never apologized to me, but she was dealing with another issue with the cashier and homeless person behind me that the other employee was helping. Goodness!! I honestly am never coming to the Safeway again! Straw that broke the camels back and bumped me with her butt! Lol.

This review is for the deli, got a sandwich today and the whole experience was awful. No disrespect, but the person making the sandwiches should know how to make a good sandwich, not look like a deer in the headlights when putting it together. Mid way through i was about to just tell her to stop and leave but i was a bit embarrassed and also felt bad for her so i just tried to move it along as fast as possible. Most the ingredients looked like they had been there for days, i was in shock she put such an old soggy looking tomato on my sandwich, i had to ask her to please put one from a different area as those were so gross. Getting home, my expectations were not high, but safeway did used to have good sandwiches at some point. My "toasted" sandwich was barely toasted, veggies were all stale, i took a few bites and tossed it.I would recommend getting a premade from gas station over coming to safeway and spending 8.99 + tax for a "hot" sandwich.
