This was my first time going to an actual salon. I was so very pleased with the price! On top of that my hair cut is AMAZING!! Mai did a wonderful job!!! I have hair with many different textures (straight, wavy, curly) and she did excellent making look even all the way around my head. I took off about 4 inches. She was very nice also. I will go here every single time I want a cut.

I got a haircut with Gary and I got exactly what I was trying to. It's pretty nice inside and Gary really knows what he's doing. I went in for a men's haircut and it was better than I was expecting. I highly recommend Gary he was thorough and knew exactly how to do the cut I asked for.

Gary is a Miracle Worker! I went from unwanted 50% grey when several other salons just turned me blond with marked growth lines, or worse orange with growth lines. He fixed it all with a Weave in colors that don't look "fake". The cut is ideal, too. Highly Recommend!!!

I get my hair cut here, but I typically take my kids to places like Supercuts, because it's a little cheaper, but my daughter and even my son noticed my hair cuts after coming back from Gary (the owner) and over time, both kids asked if they could start going to Hair Is as well. So now all three of us see Gary. He's a nice guy, and has been cutting hair for quite a few decades. His father owned a Salon as well, so it's definitely in the family. I definitely recommend Hair Is.

I absolutely love Gary! It has taken me years to find someone in Chico that doesn’t cost an arm and a leg and someone I get along with and I found him! He knows how to get the job done, super personable and he always impresses me when he does my hair. He has my full trust every time and makes me feel absolutely wonderful about my hair! Never a dull moment in the chair because he is always telling about his great fishing stories and more!

Gary the owner did not disappoint! Mom told me he was an excellent hair stylist and she was right. In all my yrs of haircuts these were the best layers ive ever had done to my long hair and im skeptic on trying new hair places but i have definitely found my new regular hair place! And hes so fast too! I wish i had tipped more had i known it would turn out so wonderful. I sure will come more prepared next time with extra $$. Im tellin ya, i see why mom raved over him for so long. Thanks again gary!! See you next time!

I just got the cutest haircut by Gary at HAIR IS! From 'covid hair' to a glamorous cut. My husband and I moved away from Chico but will continue to drive an hour and a half to get our hair cuts with him. Thanks Gary. We'll done!
