The range is just great, much better than any of the fancy ones. And service folks are excellent, great suggestions that saved us service visit.

STAY AWAY! In the past 5 years my oven has broken twice. By broken I mean the oven will not heat up at all. When I called Capital Cooking to find out where to get it serviced I was pointed to several repairmen in my area. None of them repaired Capital equipment, none of them have even heard of Capital and are unsure why this company is giving out their names. After almost a year of searching we finally were able to find someone. Now my oven has broken again with the exact same issue. Capital has again lied to me about repairmen in my area. This company is a pure scam. Please please please stay away from them.

We bought a 48 inch Capital dual fuel. Gas range and an electric oven. The oven has been used 20 times and has had nothing but problems. First off if you open your oven to remove more then one thing the high heat sensor trips and you need a service guy to come out and reset. This Christmas Eve as I'm having a party with a 7 bone standing rib roast and the over stoped working on the 21st tine using it. $800 to fix it mother board dust. Trust me don't buy it's junk!

Things I like about this range: burners get nice and hot, simmer is decent.Things I don't like about this range: pieces have been falling off of it since we bought it, the burner lighters do not always work or will continue to click, and the broiler doesn't always work. Culinarian does not pick up or respond to email. Retailer we purchased from failed to deliver the wok burner and won't dispatch service.

I bought a Capital Oven approx 12 years ago.. 5 years ago the oven ignitor dies but a call to Capital and the tech easily diagnosed. I was told to purchase a replacement part that I could install myself. It wasn't simple but was able to do so. Fast forward to 2022 and my Broiler stops working. I called support and was asked for the model # which I no longer have since the label they place it on is actually inside the oven and had long burnt away. I'm told they cant assist me since I dont know the exact model. I asked if I could simply take a picture of the part in the oven now and send to them, but Capital service appears to be taken over in the past 4 years by another company who claims that will not help them determine the part I need.. So I'm now basically stuck with a $6000 oven that won't broil. Shame on Capital for not stamping the model anywhere other then interior of the oven where it burns off! Vendor I purchased from also went out of business so Guess im going to toss a 200+ pound paper weight in the garbage now and go buy a Viking.

I purchased a 48" duel fuel range in 2018. I had an F00 error coed and the ovens stopped working. Turns after finally getting a tech on the phone it means the main brain has lost connection to the display board. The ribbon strip that connects the two needed to be cleaned and reversed and that has solved the problem. Once I was able to get a tech on the phone he was super helpful and knowledgeable. My only gripe it that it was hard to get to a human. I think if you ask nice they will even send you the repair manual, parts list etc. Not sure why this stuff is not self service.

I have been attempting to contact Capital Range regarding an order. The distributor through whom we ordered our range told us it could be 4-6 months or more to receive the stove. We can't wait that long since this is going into a new build and being able to get occupancy permit depends on factors including having a stove. The store recommended I call Capital to see if I could get info on shipping since he was unable to get through. I called three times yesterday and sent an email. I left voicemails each time because, while I was ALWAYS 2nd in the queue, I would stay on home until the system forced me to leave a voicemail or disconnected me. I also called a different service line, Adco Services, three times yesterday, and got through to someone once, but he had no answers and suggested I call the company, the very thing I was trying to do. Adco, btw, is to whom Capital outsources service calls. Today our stove order is still pending so I try calling again, I get forced to leave a message again. I do get a call back and as soon as I answer the call is disconnected. When I call, I am disconnected again. So, I cannot say whether it is a good stove. I CAN say that if you order a Capital Range product and have any questions or need service, you will probably be unable to get through to anyone and will have a $6-10,000 hunk of broken stove. Then you will have to hope your regular Joe repairman can fix it with whatever is available at the local repair shop. Personally, anyone can sell stuff. A truly professional product is represented even after the sale. Capitol is definitely not meeting professional standards. Buyer be Aware

Bought a Capital 6 years ago, Range is fine, oven has been a nightmare. Customer service is basically nonexistent with the company. It no longer sold in the state of MN, so have to try to find someone to service is a nightmare, Capital is no help as a company. Never again. Do not buy.

I should have stayed with Thermador! Have used our 48” Culunarian LP Gas for 7yrs. ‘Infared’ broiler takes FOREVER to preheat. No last minute garlic bread here. Rotisserie, a selling point, worked well. Small oven burns most everything, if cautionary measures are not used, i.e., set temps 25deg less, dbl sheet pans under cooking vessel, & use narrow vessels, allowing plenty of air on sides. W/o convection in the small oven, temps are most erratic in the cavity, very hot in back. We, also, have replaced the broiler igniter within a year of use, now necessary again. Must call for refresher re: access instruction, as there are no service men near, familiar with unit, online help, or schematic, that we can find. Thank goodness we are a ranch with electrical savvy & tools! Now, 2 mos ago, our primary oven & rotisserie quit. Time finally allowed my husband to determine issue, another failed igniter! Will order 2 igniters, broiler & lg oven, & maybe a spare, & install ourselves. We enjoyed the ease of cleaning a Thermador 36” cooktop/grill & built in dbl ovens for 26yrs. They, SURVIVING ‘97 flood, under water for 2 weeks. Ovens finally died 3yrs ago. Cooktop still in use at that farm home we now use only 2mos, during harvest. So, comparatively, I am disappointed in the complicated means of cleaning the Capital; however, is the least of my dislikes. I, too, purchased for the low flame capability, described in the videos. Nope. Must use a heavy mental plate diffuser for delicate butter sauces, beans, etc.. I am no novice to fine cooking of pastries, pasta, meats en croûte, sauces, name it, as well as feeding a crew of hungry cowboys anything I can drum up from the fridge! I WILL compliment the strength of flame/heat when needed, & frankly, I use most often. Very good, but that is also, in part, due to LP. I purchased Capitol, believing their videos, needing a dependable unit, as we are remote, 110mi (45mi of gravel road) from nearest, very small, town. If my husband were not the frugal man & capable of repair he is, THIS Culinarian would be long down the road, with Thermador in it’s stead. Will be interesting to call their service people, next week, & experience igniter order & receipt. Until then, for Christmas, pulled out the 20yr old DēLonghi toaster oven (works GREAT!) from the camp trailer, & making due with the small oven. ;).P.S. You’ll note in pic, several burner knobs switched out for after mkt, locking knobs. I have, many times, been at the ranch gate a mile from Hs, unsure, I’ve returned to Hs to make certain I had not accidentally bumped a knob, turning that burner or oven on. Calibrated knobs are not avail for the ovens, hot plate, or grill, so I am still vigilant in checking before I leave. At least once a month one gets bumped & begins heating! The new knobs don’t work smoothly, but they DO assure burners stay off.

Great well built range. The attention to detail in function and construction far exceeds competitive residential commercial ranges. The open burner is best at even heat across the cooking surface. The oven cooks everything consistently and evenly moist baking . Cakes turnout perfectly everytime. Highly recommend a capital range.

Just do not do it. I was told that this company provides excellent service when I purchased the range. It is the opposite. They provide no service. Paid +$7K for an oven/range and have had more problems with it than any other oven/range I've owned. Luckily the 1st problem was within warranty, but this time, it is not. They were purchased by a different company, which usually is a good thing, but is not in this case. They don't care about you. The funny thing is that how much money is this review alone costing them? A lot more then would it would have costed to service your customer correctly. I love cooking on it, when it works. The btu levels are great, high and low. The rotisserie is nice. The oven gets pretty hot, up to 550, if you want to do a pizza or finish a cast iron steak, its great. It is pretty easy to clean when you take apart of the cooktop. If you don't have experience operating it, then it is difficult to cook on it. The touchpad is not intuitive at all. The door is really heavy and does not have a 1/2 way open option. It drops fully to the floor, so I don't let me kids open it because if they dropped the door, it would def break their toes/feet. Overall, because of the service and it not being a popular brand and it breaking and it being so expensive, I definitely would not recommend this brand at all. If you love to cook and are looking to splurge on your remodel item, then don't do it here. It is just so frustrating that I spent so much money and got a lemon with no service. I never leave long product reviews/beware of buy, but I had to with this. I just don't want anyone else to go through what I have.

Avoid this brand at all costs. We bought a gas range and it leaked gas from day one. It took months to get someone to look at it, we paid for repairs but continue to have the same issue. We had another service appointment and apparently the valve is leaking. However, we cannot get the recommended service company to return our calls (major metro area). I have never written a review before, but because of the safety risk of an improperly operating gas appliance, I felt compelled to comment.
