Went on Saturday 5/6/23 at 934am. Employee 'Darling' was very rude. She rolled her eyes at me because I was in her way in the freezer section. It was blatant and very obvious.

Great experience just to get a membership! I want to give a warm thanks to STEPHANIE T. in member services for making a core memory for us. We had been delaying on getting this card for a while because it's always hectic but she was fast and she was fun. Explained all the benefits to us and made the credit card application (if you choose to) very simple and quick. Best part was she had us take our pics with our baby girl in the picture even though she was asleep. I really loved that. This is how someone can make something so simple into something so amazing. Thanks Stephanie.

1 star for customer service. 9/10 times I get a rude cashier Today I got Keith S, this man didn't greet or make eye contact and then when he finished scanning he looked up at the ceiling and tapped the the screen that read the total. Because it was too hard to say out loud I'm assuming. Get a personality Keith, with your Hawaiian shirt and it's pouring out

The new order ahead system for the food court seems great in theory, but the orders are called out of order and some orders are not printed at all. It only works when they aren't busy.

Service is slow even though there were five people just talking to each other.

Honestly this location is the most congested compared to the other Costco's I've been to. The employees here are friendly, helpful, and everything is well organized/great. The only downside of this place is how crowded it gets every day. There are tons of people who walk extremely slow and just stands in the middle of the walkway, while there are people trying to get through. Had some lady in front of me walk right in the middle of the aisle extremely slow which caused a lady behind me to ram into my foot, because she was walking way too close to me.. Just stared at me without apologizing, as if it was my fault that the lady in front of me wasn't walking faster.. Also, as a customer please be a bit more respectful of the employees here. They are just trying to do their jobs and allow everyone to make their purchases and get out on time.... Had this one lady behind me by self-checkout NONSTOP complaining to the employee regarding how slow the line was moving... It's literally days before Christmas and everyone is trying to do their last minute shopping for their Christmas dinner or presents, so just be a bit more mindful that they are trying their best to control traffic.. Not their fault, you decided to go shopping 2 days before Christmas. Poor employee sounded extremely stressed and annoyed with the lady, but she handled it very well. Still would give this place 4 stars, primarily because of the great employees here. (Based on my experiences with them.)

I've been to this Costco in City of Industry just a few number of times as I don't go to this area as often as I do go to the San Gabriel Valley area on the weekends. Most Costcos are set up the same... with food court, optometry, tire station, gas station, some might have a car wash... I do miss their photo center though... it's too bad they got rid of the latter.I find this Costco is a tad tighter at the gas station than at other Costcos. Space is always an issue when there's a high volume of members in line. This goes for anything really. The only thing that can be challenging at any Costco is the placement of their products are not at the same location. So if I go to Costco A for something and then go to Costco B for the same thing... I gotta look for it because the layout of the Costco is different and the placement of the item could be in a different aisle. I think Costco rearranges their products to different spots from time to time so that their members do walk around the aisles and look for them and in hopes they buy more of other stuff, too. It's actually a pretty good strategy. Anyway, Happy Costco'ing!

Costco is only good for certain things like tools/equipment, alcohol, cleaning supplies, junk food, frozen or canned food in bulk, ect.. but I am adamantly against buying any seafood or steak that is not already frozen and pre-packaged by a brand name or third-party company. I'll be up front. I'm well qualified due to my profession to make this assessment, but their fish quality is bad. also their steaks labeled "usda prime" always looked suspiciously mislabeled to be even be considered prime due the product's marble. Unfortunately, my parents who are older do not have the same knowledge and experience as me. And I understand they shop here for convenience. But as many times as they ask me to cook fish for them, I have not yet received satisfactory fish when they have purchased through Costco. I don't know if it's the limited skill- set of the in-house butchers, but their "wild" salmon has signs of time-temperature abuse due to the flesh not having bounce or lack of water retention, especially when considering the packaging date. The fabrication of the filet cuts down to the damaged inner flesh due to the removal of pin-bones, are both signs of either a lack of skill or care for the product, or both considering someone still decided to put this product out there to be sold. In addition, sometimes they cryo-vac (vacuum seal) the packaged fish tightly, so you won't be able to easily determine the quality of its flesh until the package is opened.Due to this, how can I even trust anything coming out here that's in-house made? I do not blame lack of skills of the worker's. It's not their fault the company does not find the means to properly train them. I'm sure they have enough money to hire good workers with the right skill sets even in the condition of the food/service industry. But it's the audacity and irresponsibility to still put out a product to be sold, that obviously shouldn't be. And that right there, defines their solid line for standards!

One of my favorite Costcos-- parking is relatively easy unlike other poorly planned Costcos. It is not as busy as Alhambra and there are a decent amount of sales, too. Certain things - -My only gripe is they tend to run out of rotisserie chickens, whereas Alhambra knows the large crowds and addresses it appropriately. -while they have self check out, I also wished they had self check out for the food court(or order while you're in the store) so lines aren't long. -when I called the food court last year requesting half / half toppings (half cheese/ half pepperoni), they said no. This option is available at MPK.

I'll keep it short and sweet, I got a pack of individual cooked chicken the first week of June and come to realize I wasn't feeling good and the chicken had been expired for 12 days I didn't explain that to the girl when I went to return it because at this point it didn't matter but what bothered me the most... I didn't get an apology or anything... I just got my receipt and left.

I meant to write this review a few days ago as this lady doing the sample food was working, when I could not find what I was looking for (I hate shopping) and I kind of started talking to myself. I asked her do you know where the item I needed was and she was so sweet, Lucy was her name and sent me directly to where I needed to find the product I needed. How awesome is that! I was never so thankful to her and her kindness! Thank you Lucy!

Everyone knows their hotdogs slap but the line/wait was very long. Monterey park has self-checkout registers. This Costco would really benefit from something like that.
