Awesome Nijiya Market. We stopped by here 2 days ago on a business meeting i had in the city. I went inside and purchased a whole bunch of sushi for lunch. Great market with so many desserts and food. You can also buy stuff to cook with here. Sappora Beer is good beer. One of the best Japanese markets i have been to in awhile. The produce is fresh here. The store is very clean and organized. They have good seafood here to cook for yourself. Whole bunch of canned goods and dry foods. Nice market, I would love to visit again.

This is a local market where I buy my Sapporo beer. It seems it's hard to find Sapporo in bottles .Here they sell six pack bottles at a reasonable price in fact it's the cheapest I have found it.This market is stocked with plenty of Japanese merchandise. They have produce vegetables, fish and meats, dry goods, canned goods, pretty well stocked with different items. The cashiers and service is friendly and courteous .There's plenty of parking with the handicap stalls close by.

Don't know if they receive their sushi from the same place as Tokyo Central, but...I like Nijiya's more. Fresh and flavorful. They also have a better cost selection of the sushi platters.

I'm giving this place 4 stars only because I wish they had more bento options. I did purchase a wagyu kalbi bento and it was pretty good! It wasn't a big bento, however, I would say it was worth it knowing that it was not a bad price and there was more meat than I expected. The employees here do a good job as always. It is also good to see that they keep the place nice and clean.

Nijiya Market is a small Japanese grocery store that sells produce, meat, snacks, toiletries, kitchenware, anime merchandise, etc. Come here to satisfy your cravings for Japanese snacks and food. The deli section has sushi, onigiri, cakes, dango, mochi, and other food items, so you can grab a quick bite to eat. This grocery store is small, but you'll find some interesting Japanese products.

Be careful with your receipt; you may have been charged extra for bags you didn't want, and it seems like they're just ignoring it.The female cashier asked me if I wanted a bag, and I told her I didn't. She might not have heard me or accidentally place my items in a bag. I told her again that I didn't want a bag. She glanced at the computer, and I believe she knew she had already charged me for the bag, but she didn't show any intention of refunding me or voiding the transaction. Whether it was intentional or careless, the service was unacceptable. When I went back to inquire, the female cashier had already quickly left.

Great market for hard to find Japanese food items though I must say you should avoid the produce section. When we visited they were selling medium to small avocados for $3.99 each and they did not look so fresh.

Besides their large bento, sushi, onigiri, rice bowls and Japanese style cold cut sandwich selection they have a host of delicious desserts and drinks with jellies and teas as well as milk teas and cold brewed coffees that are perfect for a lunch or dinner for one. Their meat and seafood are similarly conveniently portioned- you don't have to buy 24 drumsticks if u only need a few. A decent selection of Japanese and other foreign beer and spirits. The umebosbi and yuzu liquor are my current favorites. They have lots of cakes and desserts and single servings of ice cream cones you can get to treat yoself. I think their are cheaper options for Pocky sticks but plenty of Japanese snacks you can grab while your there Their are definitely some seasonings you can ONLY get here like the sansho, furikari, and togarashi. Or bonito shavings if you like making your own dashi soup stock from scratch. They also have some very good store brand hot pot stock as well and even meal kits with veggies, tofu, and mushrooms.

Nijiya is a small but nice market to quickly pick up specialty Japanese and American products. It’s a great place to pickup ready to eat bento lunches, desserts and beverages. Cashiers are friendly.

My favorite Japanese market in the area. Whenever you need some snacks or frozen food or lunch or meet and seafood - everything is in abundance and very fresh. I often get sashimi or chirashi for lunch and it’s delicious. All prepped lunches vary in cost depending on a quality of the produce. You can get a decent sushi pack for 7-8$, or a little better one for 14-15$, or some restaurant quality tuna for 20-25$, which is still a great deal. Fresh vegetables and fruits are more expensive than regular supermarket, but are also of good quality.

Glad theres a japanese market not too far from me. Its small but has the stuff i usually come for. They dont have the udon noodles i normally buy thesedays...so thats a bummer. But they got shabu shabu soup and certain meats.. the sake i need and always grab a sushi snack. I was impressed by their sushi offering so I decided to do their large party tray -SUPER. Sorry guys.. it wasnt as good as their normal sushi offering. And ofc the fish selection isnt the best in the tray. But anyways... it was decent. Parking lot sucks bc of in n out.

Wonderful Japanese market in Rowland Heights. We visit almost every weekend to purchase Japanese products. Their meat and seafood items are very fresh and they always have sales. They have a large deli selection with yummy food items like bentos, sushi, sushi rolls, sashimi, sandos, onigiri, and etc. You can check their website for their weekly sales ads. The market staff are very friendly and helpful. Their golden yolk eggs are a must buy. I'm super happy that we have Nijiya Market in our neighborhood. Highly recommended to visit.
