Check engine light was on, preventing smog test for registration. Asked vendor to repair the problem. Charged $500+ and did not eliminate check engine light. Very disappointed!

I would like to share some important facts about JM&H Auto, I worked for several years in the automotive repair industry. I met many honest and dishonest customer service personnel, from the mechanics to management. So, when I started shopping for a completely full-service honest auto repair shop for my business and personal vehicles, I learned 9 out of 10 recommendations from business owners of different industries, as well as individuals, all within the Clovis area recommended JM&H auto. They really care about their customers, their vehicles and are great listeners, they're not about the money, they are about customer satisfaction, service and not about excuses or poor I don't know answers, because they get to the bottom of your vehicles problem and resolve it. So, now I take all my vehicles to Steve, Eric and Joe, the 3 heartbeats of this wonderful service, and I am comfortable enough with their honesty that I send my wife to deal with her vehicle issues when I'm not available, knowing they will treat her with respect and not take advantage of her lack of automotive knowledge. So, take your car to JM&H if you want to sleep well at night and not worry or stress out, especially when you are getting ready to take that long awaited trip out of town, knowing JM&H Auto did you right! A friend of mine referred me to JM&H for a faulty sensor. The first person I talked to was super nice, understood my car's issue, understood the issue I had with the dealership - and got me scheduled right when I was available. I asked about inspecting/checking two other things on my car, which they said absolutely, they would check. They did - said there is no issue there but I may want to consider looking into my a/c in the future, the air could be colder. I was so thankful they were honest about what I needed and gave me a head's up about something I may need in the future. Simple. Up front. Easy. I wasn't upsold, I wasn't lied to, I did not pay more than I was quoted, I was pleasantly surprised by the entire interaction, service, price, and genuine level of respect I felt being sincerely helped, not sold.

Gave them a call to see if they could repair my hybrid car. Probably the most honest mechanics I've ever spoken to. He immediately said he doesn't have the right equipment to work on the problem. Then recommended a different shop. To me, the honesty and transparency speaks volumes. Didn't waste my time or money. I will recommend or come with a different vehicle. Thank you so much.
