I brought my Mercedes C300 to this shop after the check engine light came on, and they diagnosed it as a faulty thermostat. I paid over $1,000 for the repair, including parts and labor. However, not even a day later, the check engine light came back on.
I returned to the shop, and they told me the issue was now electrical and recommended I take it to the dealership. At this point, I felt like the initial diagnostic was rushed or incomplete. If the problem was electrical from the beginning, it should have been caught before replacing the thermostat.
I essentially paid for a repair that didn’t fix the actual issue. I’m extremely disappointed by the lack of thoroughness and transparency. I’m currently seeking a second opinion from the dealership and considering filing a formal complaint. I would not recommend this shop based on my experience.

This place used to be good, which is why I’ve been coming here. My last several visits, the guy running the shop tells me I need this and that fixed (which I later find out I dont need by calling the dealership and asking). I came in for an oil change and spark plugs. The guy says it’s $600 just for parts so it will be $1000 total. That’s when I called the dealership who told me parts were $123 for spark plugs. The guy at the shop then tells me I need my transmission filter changed. Umm what? The dealership confirmed that’s not needed. Today is my last visit here, time to find a more honest shop.
Is anyone else concerned that he is not typing anything into the computer when coming up with pricing? Anywhere else I go, I get an exact estimated total with change included. This shop just makes up a number and then rounds up.

The worst experience I've ever had with any mechanic.
I brought my car in for a check engine light and left with windshield wipers that no longer function. Upon bringing my car in I was told that a new battery MIGHT fix my check engine light issue, $650 later it did not and magically my wipers no longer worked. When it came to the check engine light they replaced a part that didn't actually need to be replaced along with the battery that was not the main source of my issue. So after spending over $800 on those two repairs, multiple Lyft rides to and from work as well as the egregious amount of gas they wasted driving my car around Concord I was instructed by them to take my car to the Ford Dealer for a $240 diagnostic where I learned what part actually was needed to replaced and was told that I had to buy the parts myself and then they would rectify my situation at no cost.
So after weeks of financially recovering from all of this and multiple delays with the car parts I finally bring my car in only to find out I suddenly need a new gasket for the valve cover that was already replaced on the previous repairs but for some reason we needed another one which ran another $80 (so they did not follow through on their promise of covering the repairs) and come to find out the part they told me to pay for out of my own pocket was actually not the source of the windshield wiper issue they caused and that I would need to take my car to another mechanic to be charged even more money for those repairs that I never needed until they decided to replace my battery.
To sum it up, unless you need an oil change or you're really good friends with the folks at Clayton Quality Auto don't go there, the lack of communication while I'm physically in front of them as well as over the phone is borderline insulting. I definitely regret ever taking my car to this shop, it was a headache I didn't need and now I'm over $1000 in the hole and late on my registration thanks to Clayton Quality Auto. I will be reporting this all to the bureau of automotive repair as well.
This review was written for Yelp, the next day I received a text message from an employee at this shop asking me to please remove my review after my number had been blocked by this number during this ordeal. I will not delete my review and have posted it here to google as I believe anyone who considers trusting these people with their car deserve to know my experience and ultimately understand that the people are Clayton Quality Auto Care are SHADY.
