This is the worst 24 hour gym I’ve been to, sadly it’s closest to home. Blatantly neglected equipment, drinking fountain has no pressure, broken everything. The management really hates their customers, willfully neglecting everything for profit, that’s really going to kill 24’s reputation.

*Scam Alert* I knew that 24 hour fitness were thoughtless about their customers from my previews, but I didn't know they scam 3 days passes by not honoring them on purpose and asking them to pay them $25. I saw previous reviews on different 24 hrs locations that they gave the would be customers bogus reasons as to not honoring their 3 days pass, but I thought it was myth till it happen to me at Costa Mesa 24hrs tonight. This the night after I already had toured the facility prior on the same day with the same ID indicating my addres clearly. I had come back the same night with the same 3 days pass that I presented to Brian the same morning to get the tour and my body scan done. The night shift personnel asked for my ID that had brought same as in the morning, but now that I was actually wanted and ready to use the facility the night personnel told me since I don't reside in the immediate 2 cities of the facility I should pay her $25. I never been told this when I initially checked in with Brian in the morning in the same facility, and also how come the 24 hrs official website allowed me to obtain such 3 days pass if they were such restrictions of residency because I remember I had put my city of residence, state, and other information before the website sent me a 3 day pass. I now read on similar cases as mine on different 24 hrs branches, and they all resided around orange county and they all refused their 3 day passes which makes me believe this organized and systemic scam to just to bring as much fresh meat to waste their time and energy instead of honestly honoring their commitment and have a fair business dealing.

Many of the group x classes are being discontinued and they only thing available is pay for classes. Based on we have to pay for membership. This seems absurd.

I went in there to use my three day pass which is valid in most cluba and the manager said I needed to show something with local residency in Costa Mesa or Newport which is ridiculous, just because I showed her an ID from the Mexican Consultant in addition to my DMV DL from Westminster. It's so sad to see 24 hour fitness have a racist Karen working for them.

I’ve have membership that grants me access to all 24 hour gyms for the past 4 years. This one is by far the most grimey and dirty gym I’ve been to. Plates have so much grime they’re almost a different color. Deadlift pads wayyyy over due for a replacement, dumbbells out of order, there’s even a section in the gym where the lights are broken and there’s plaster sheets covering a broken mirror. Cheap franchisee makes and embarrassing example of 24 hour stands. I would look to the San Clemente and San Juan Capistrano gyms as a role model to make your gym better.

I have been attending this location for over 2 years weekly as I work close. The cleanliness and overall atmosphere has gone significantly downhill along with raising prices half the treadmills don’t work they say they’re at a higher speed and going slower than they are, which is very difficult to use lots of things out of the bathroom with clumps of hair and then today I went in the sauna for the first time Smell of the sauna was something I cannot describe and then I went into the women’s locker room to get ready for work, and there was a smell that was like mold, and body odor mixed together that literally made me want to vomit. Somebody should not be paying to go to a place that you can barely work out the floor room to do exercises. The floor has dust and crumbs all over it . Very disappointing. There were also cookies in the cupholder on the stairmaster it’s not clean it’s not functional and the management needs to step in. Lots of people are paying play over planet fitness prices for a gym. That’s basically planet fitness.

The entrance is difficult to find. All ground level doors say the entrance is at parking level but neglects to say that it's on Level B2, 2 floors below ground. If it's your first time here, it's best to take the escalator (near Harbor Blvd) because pushing B2 inside the elevator will only take you to street level. The men's locker room is very clean and pleasant smelling, but the hand soap smells like rotten eggs. The pool area is very hot and humid (about 80° F) and I counted a total of 2 chairs near the pool and 0 lounge chairs. The steam room had only a sprinkling of steam and the sauna was standing room only.According to a gentleman, who attends this gym religiously, the gym population tends to drop significantly by 9 pm. And according to the associate, at night, the area around the gym becomes congested with homeless traffic.

I was a former member here before the fake pandemic world order was imposed upon us. It sounds like they are deliberately downgrading the service as a means to get people to leave Costa Mesa and not hire people. Moreover, the Illuminati Masonic government pays 24 Hour Fitness to cut hours, lay off employees, so that they can go work for Amazon. 24 Hour Fitness can certainly live up to its name if they wanted to, they certainly proved their name in the past for many years, but the Illuminati Masonic government is cutting hours and services in the ideal services and increasing hours and manpower in the not so ideal services such as Amazon. The Illuminati Masonic government is deliberately destroying the ideal industries in order to force people into the terrible industries. Bottom line is that 24 Hour Fitness knows it must hire more people if it wants to actually be a 24 hour service. They would make so much more money if they did. Too bad the Illuminati Masonic government is restricting them now. I wouldn’t be surprised if the remaining staff are all Illuminati Masonic too, deliberately destroying the ideal choices of labor and industry.

Place is so dirty- the only reason I go to this gym is because I live near it. Bathroom are dirty, treadmills have dust balls under all of them, second floor weight room has dust balls everywhere. The paper roll dispenser is always out. Staff is always nice, but the regional manager for the gym- seems not to care if people complain.

I came in to work out at 10am on a Saturday morning. The gym was clean, organized, and not crowded at all. I ended my workout with a 10 minute session in the sauna. My suggestion to everyone is to just go during non-peak hours. It's actually very easy to get to all the machines. There's too much traffic getting here on a daily basis, but I can definitely visit this location weekly.

Horrible experience with Brandon Barron! This guy needs customer service training! Long story short, they lease the basketball gym to a trainer and little 8 year old kids and close off the gym to the actual members paying for a club membership! First of all, you don't stay open 24 hours anymore and now you have the audacity to not allow members access due to you sub leasing the space? Who does that!!! On top of that weirdness, this guy Brandon doesn't know how to properly articulate or professionally address a concern from a customer who is paying for 3 memberships, 4 at one point in time, who calls with a reasonable concern. Do members get a credit when you inconvenience us? Thats not what we signed up for. I'm done with this dirty disrespectful gym! Hopefully, this gym gets a better professional manager that can handle frustrated customers, because Brandon Failed! And from reading other reviews about him, he needs to be replaced!

I just cancelled my membership and my daughters membership with this gym due to having a back and forth full blown unprofessional argument with a person named Brandon Barron. I called to inquire about the club closing off the basketball gym to members for a private trainer who is working with kids as young as 8 years old, for 4 hours on Wednesdays and Sundays. I pay for my son's membership as well. I've been paying for 3 memberships for years! This guy's customer service skills are horrible!! As a member, it's in our policy to have 24 hr access to all the gym has to offer so this baffled me! Even if Corporate allowed a sub lease to rent the basketball court as he explained it, he should know how to properly articulate this to frustrated customers. He failed. He over talked me the whole time, tried to at least, was condescending, rude, and conversed like a 3 year old. He would not let me get my full concern out before he jumped in cutting me off each time! I had to ask the dude, do you even know how to have a conversation? You listen to the concern first, process it, then respond! You don't jump in and cut the person off each time! He was very frustrating to deal with and I HOPE he is not in a management position! I actually hung up on him and called back and spoke to a nice young man named Eric and expressed this unpleasant encounter with him. Anyway, I asked for a credit to my account seeing 24 Hour Fitness is not holding up their end of the policy. I will write to corporate about this and will be waiting for a response. I have a membership at LA Fitness too so I'm done with this place!! Hopefully, Management sees this review and offers some type of training to their guy. As I shared this incident with another member, his response was "he is always arguing and getting smart with people"...SMH Offer better customer service 24 Hour Fitness, because during COVID your company was calling begging people to sign up!!! How soon do we forget....

Pretty overpriced, tried to bring my family member to this gym to try it out but apparently I don't get any guest passes. Different employees had given me different information which led to me wasting money on a pass for my family member. Was given attitute over a misunderstanding with the misinformation I was given which isn't a good feeling. Going to probably have to try out the other 24 hour fitness. Wouldn't recommend.
