Do yourself a favor and call Mark with AM PM Rent a Car when you rent a car in Newport Beach area he will make you feel at ease, customer service is VIP. Pick up and drop off and get you your car NOW, NOT the big box good luck get lost feel, you do not need to go through the maze of the area port. Mark made me feel at ease, been in business 20+ year majority of the business is referral, high degree of integrity. I will use AM PM Rent a Car again when the need arises in the Newport Beach area. I rented a Honda Pilot very nice very clean.

I needed a 4 by 4. I paid 3 weeks before the rental date. They didn't have a 4 by 4. The wait was about 60 mins. The place is terrible. Pay a little more go to a decent place. Thanks.

The man that help us his name was "syah" older gentleman he was rude n disrespectful not just to me n to few other customer too. Very disrespectful I ask for his name and I ask for his name and he say I don't have to tell u my name and made us leave. By law They have to wear name tag but guess not. i would never refer anyone here. This place it's unbelievable how could u hired someone so uneducated disrespectful and rude like that. We are paying customer and this is how we get treated. The way I see Fox rental company policy it's scandalous.

WORST RENTAL CARE EXPERIENCE!! I was supposed to pick the car up at 7am. They were "cleaning the car" for over an hour. Finally got the car around 8:30 am which made me extremely late. The car was still very dirty they did not vacuum the inside, the outside was filthy, there was trash, medical bracelets and other items on the floor. The person who inspected the car before i left didn't even walk around the car or look inside. I had to point out a crack in the windshield (probably couldn't see it because the window was so dirty). Then when i turned the car in the told me they were going to charge me 75$ for a cleaning fee because it was dirty and there was pet hair!! Worst rental car experience I've had. Will never use this company again.

If I can give lower than 1 star That's what i am going to give this company . We made a reservation for a minivan. When we got there the front desk informed us that they do not have a mini van but they have a 4 Runner 7 seaters. When she gave Us the key. The car was like 10 years Old and very very dirty inside and out, and it only sit 5 people. The Lady on the counter said that's all they Have and she was very very Rude!! I will never never never go back to Fox Rent A car ever again!! Placr os Unsanitized, unfriendly staff. And Old Cars that can break down in the middle of the road!!

We rented a Dodge van and received it filthy and I mean dust everywhere on the dash and looked like someone grabbed the interior with grease on their hands. After a full wipe down I come to bring it back and they say I have to take it back and vacuum the inside of the car because if not I'll get charged for it. Bruh, the audacity of this place and the clowns who run it. Never renting from this place again and I don't recommend you do either, this place is a joke.

I had not rented from this location for several years so was a little put off by all the bad reviews but I had a good experience. The car was newer, very clean and trouble free. Pickup and return were efficient and friendly with none of the hard sell re CDW and upgrades found at some larger competitors. This is an airport location and business is no doubt way off due to coronavirus so that may be a factor. But I've rented frequently from Fox (usually LA or SD airport locations) and in general I've found them to be a good value with somewhat longer lines and shuttle waits compensated for by significantly lower prices.

The most unprofessional car service I've ever dealt with. Incompetent, rude, and very unorganized. The man at the front desk didn't k is anything, he literally couldn't answer any questions he just kept saying "I don't know".

I'm traveling a lot and I have lots of experience with the rental cars. I came from different state to California during this corona virus situation. I arrived there and I supposed to get my car at 8am but they didn't have the car ready. I had a really bad experience in this office the associate and the manger didn't care about the client time and situation and they didn't even apologize. Then I canceled my car rental and got Uber to take care of my business

I needed a car while mine was in for repairs. The customer service with Minn and Tye? was excellent as was my car and the rates. Actually had someone rear end me while I was at a light and got another car in less than 15 min. Saw some of the reviews on the site and yes you have to check the car before you leave to make sure everything is working to your satisfaction but if you are not satisfied, get another car. Also, you need to go to the website to reserve your car (don't pay in advance) and the website is not user friendly but the agents will work out any issues (type of car, upgrade, etc. )

My husband and I rented a car on Sunday for 2 days while his car was in the shop. He informed the guy helping him at the counter (Syed) that he did not want to purchase the insurance because our Amex credit card covered car rental insurance. We first figured things wouldn't go well when they just gave him the keys to go find the car on his own wherever it was parked on the lot. Upon returning the car, they charged him for the rental insurance which he then informed them that he declined it upon picking up the car. We have paperwork from them that only states my husband agreed to pay for the rental, NOT the insurance. They are now dodging his calls to get refunded for the insurance. We will be calling our credit card company to let them know we did not authorize the transactions they have charged our card for.

Rented a car from Fox and boy was I in for a surprise! I was in a hurry and it was almost 6pm so pretty dark I jump in the car and drive off. As I drive away I notice a pretty nasty smell in the car but figure maybe the seats just need to dry. Driving down the freeway windows rolled down to try to help with the smell. Next morning I get in the car and realize there is a bunch of trash and the car is dirty. The car STILL SMELLS! The entire duration of my rental I had to have the windows down even tried to use air fresheners to help but that smell just permeated throughout the car. This was the first time I used Fox for a rental will be the last.
