Finally got to try their ube cake and ube mochi cookie. The ube cookie I thought was okay. They gave it to us fresh which I appreciated. I like the texture but the ube flavor is not quite there. I seem to taste more coconut than ube. Still waiting to try the pandan cookie :) The ube cake seemed underwhelming when we tried it right after purchasing. I appreciated the subtle flavor and that it wasn't overly sweet. But I decided to leave it in the fridge for the next day. Left overnight and my boyfriend and I both thought it tasted so so much better the next day. Maybe it was because we had tried the Mochi cookie right before the cake, and the sweetness of the cookie overpowered the cake? We paired the cake w some hot cocoa and it was the perfect combo!

Honestly, it's embarrassing how many types of mochi donuts I've had in my lifetime. Regardless, none of them have compared to the quality of this place. The chewiness is amazing and the flavors really come through. The fruity ones are sweet, tarty, and refreshing. The more desserty flavors hit the sweet tooth just right! My faves were the guava and the cookie butter. Flavors were dead on! This was actually my first time having mochi cookies and can't believe I deprived myself for as long as I had. That moment when you pull them apart and you can see the chewiness is fantastic. We got a dozen combo of cookies and donuts for our family of 3, and it's concerning how fast we're making our way through it. lol. Oh and I can't forget to mention how quick and efficient their service was! Our order was ready before we even finished paying. Nothing but a great experience all around!

Taro Glazed: 5/5. My fave so far! Subtle yamminess without being overly starchy. Guava Cheesecake: 4/5. I liked the balance between tartness and sweetness. Tiramisu: 4/5. Another one I liked because of the combo of flavors that usually never fails. Lilikoi Poppyseed: 2/5. Had a nice, initial, fruity bite, but after that it was just sour and nothing else. Banana Chai: 2/5. I really wanted to like this one, but it was surprisingly bland. Napoleon-like one: 1/5. My least favorite, as it didn't come off as all three flavors together at all. Sea Salt Chocolate Chip Mochi Cookie: 1/5. Not a fan of the flavorless mochi inside a doughy cookie, and I barely tasted the chocolate chips :[ I appreciate the flavors of the mochi donuts, but their textures were chewier and not as soft/fluffy as I expected from the hype. Maybe they don't hold up well inside the box for hours? I'm sure they taste better when eaten right away. At least these donuts were not too sugary. I ordered online for quick pickup and friendly service. I may come back to try new flavors and items.

Fill Bakeshop's mochi donuts won my heart with their innovative Hawaiian- and Asian-inspired flavors. Though the donuts are not made to order like at Dot and Dough, I still prefer Fill's donuts over Mochinut. I've tried most of the flavors, and here are my thoughts and how I would rank the mochi donuts: 1. Thai tea pie: a must-try for Thai tea lovers 2. Guava cheesecake: I normally don't go for guava-flavored stuff, but this fruity flavor helps balance the other sweet flavors 3. Cookie butter crumble: if you like Lotus Biscoff cookies, this is for you [Would skip if I'm only getting donuts for myself] 4. Vietnamese coffee: people who don't drink coffee may want to stay away because the coffee flavor is bold here 5. Taro glazed: I usually don't go for taro flavors because it's subtle, but I could taste the taro flavor here 6. Matcha crunch: I love matcha, but the matcha here is too sweet for me, and it is not as unique as the other flavors I would also recommend trying out the chocolate haupia crunch cake. The pecan crust is sooooo good. The mochi cookies are worth trying as well. Come early as some flavors may sell out by the afternoon!

Five stars to this holly jolly bakeshop! I stopped by Fill to grab a dozen mochi cookies for a holiday party and they 100% stole the night! The entire party was raving about their chewy texture and asking where they could find more. We tasted flavors like chocolate chip, Oreo, and Sweet Potato Ube! The fan-favorite cookie ended up being Oreo. They also offer a variety of flavored mochi donuts, like Circus Animal and Thai Tea! Highly recommend stocking up before your next get together or purchase their mochi mix gift set for that special someone!

Overall: Worth a try! Their ube snickerdoodle is chewy in the inside and crunchy on the outside. But basically the same as mochinut and any other mochi donut shop. Food: Mochi donuts are everywhere but Fill Bakeshop has some flavors I haven't seen anywhere else before. It doesn't mean they're different though. The mochi donuts here are the same as any other mochi donut shops. Service: The cashier was amazingly nice and such a great sales person! She convinced us to get a dozen; we originally were only getting 4 total (donuts and cookies). Service was 5/5 Ambience: Small store. They only let 1 person/group at a time. We went on a Saturday morning and only waited 5 mins in line.

These pon de ring shaped mochi donuts remind me of Mister Donut in Asia, so I was really interested in trying out Fill's for their unique flavors of donuts and cookies. I've heard they sell out of the best sellers pretty quick, so I made an order online for pickup. Such a lifesaver and a guarantee to secure the goods. I've never been to Fill's before, so I had to try the Guava Cheesecake, Taro Glazed and Strawberry Shortcake mochi donuts. I also picked up their Ube Snickerdoodle and the seasonal Okinawan Sweet Potato. I scheduled it for a morning pickup on Tuesday, just right after they opened, so traffic was light and parking was plenty. The shop is super small, but I loved that it was bright with racks of fresh goods. I arrived a little early than my scheduled time, but they don't pack your order until you pick up to ensure quality. The Guava Cheesecake packed the most punch in their glaze since it had a super strong aroma, but the cheesecake ribbon wasn't super prominent against the guava flavor. My favorite was probably the strawberry shortcake. Strawberry was infused into the batter and in the glaze. Ube Snickerdoodle had a beautiful purple color with a faint taste of Coconut, while the Okinawan sweet potato gave me Fall/Holiday vibes. It was spiced like a pumpkin pie to me, which was enjoyable. Overall, I enjoy the soft, pillowy texture of the mochi donuts, but some of the flavors I tried didn't retain the flavor as much as anticipated. It kind of fell flat against the fried mochi. However, I'm looking forward to future seasonal flavors and would be happy to come back to try more.

Honestly I'm surprised I haven't written a review here, as I've picked up Donuts, Cookies, Cakes, and Mixes multiple times. Look, there isn't much to say here, other than if you were thinking about coming, then don't hesitate. EVERYTHING they make is fire. I haven't had a flavor of mochi donut I haven't liked, or a cookie that I haven't liked. Everything has a Hawaiin/Filipino/Asian influence, that if you're a fan of the culture, you're going to be a fan of their desserts. Try everything, is my only advice.

The BEST mochi donuts in the game can be found at Fill! Jorge at the cashier had fantastic energy on a gloomy Tuesday afternoon and he made my day! He also gives the best recommendations...the MATCHA CRUNCH MOCHI DONUT tastes like a green tea Kit Kat with the chewiness of mochi...just divine. MOCHI COOKIE: OKINAWAN SWEET POTATO edition...I have simply never had anything quite like it before. It tastes like one giant flattened circular piece of mochi, nothing like a cookie at all. Looking past my weird description, it was yummy! Subtly sweet with the earthy tones of sweet potato...not to mention the striking color that makes it Instagram worthy. PRO TIP: Don't forget to order online to skip the line! Thanks for reading! ^-^

Amazing flavors that shine on perfectly chewy donuts! This is one of the places where all the items are equally and consistently spot on. Detailed breakdown below: **Service, 5/5** We came here around 3:30pm after their rush had died down, and freshly baked cookies and donuts were still coming out. The server who helped us did an awesome job and convinced us to get a freshly baked cookie! **Decor & cleanliness, 5/5** So cute inside, limited occupancy, and the staff all wear masks. **Price & portion, 4.5/5** It's a biiiiit pricey for a donut, but still reasonable given the unique flavors and concept. They run for about ~$2.70 per donut/cookie. **Presentation of the food, 5/5** Super cute boxes and beautifully decorated donuts. Bring these to a party and you'll be a big hit ;) **Taste of the food, 5/5** I'm honestly not the biggest fan of mochi/mochi donuts, because they tend to be too dense. But WOW Fill's donuts blew me away! They are crispy on the outside, soft and chewy on the inside, and the glazes and toppings have awesome STRONG flavors that shine through. The dough to icing ratio is perfect. We got all of these flavors and thoroughly enjoyed them all (all 5/5s), but my favorites were probably the matcha and vietnamese coffee. I was even more impressed because we saved these for a gathering later in the day, so didn't get to eat them until 4+ hours later, but they were all still the perfect consistency and the crunchy toppings were still crunchy! - Matcha - Thai tea - Vietnamese coffee - Jasmine milk tea - Guava cheesecake - Milk and cereal - Chocolate chip cookie: this is the only item I wouldn't order again, but that's because I would wanna save more room for the donuts. **Other notes** Parking can be found in both the front and back of the strip mall. Also, I recommend cutting all the donuts so everyone in your group can try a bite of each flavor (or, you know, save them all for yourself).

Honestly best donuts I've ever had. The ship is small and cutely decorated, and the people behind the counter are super friendly and helpful. Wanted to only try a few but ended up with half a dozen to go home with. In all of them, the texture was my favorite part. They're soft and pillowy, but still with a little bit of bite and chewiness. The dough itself also isn't too sweet, so it lets the toppings really shine. I've had mochi donuts before that were crispy, oily, and chewier than actual mochi, and was put off, but these made me a believer. From the ones I tried: -Guava cheesecake. They told me it's one of their most popular flavors, and for good reason. It's tangy, sweet, and rich, perfect to go with the donut itself. -Matcha. I'm used to places having matcha on the menu and having little to do taste wise with matcha, more being a lightly herbed vanilla. These were full flavored and equal parts bitter and sweet, just how I like it. I'm also loved the crunchy matcha bits on top, the textural difference between that and the donut was great. -Thai tea and Vietnamese coffee were both amazing, pleasantly strong flavor, much like the matcha -Cookie butter crunch. Honestly I was drunk when I ate this, so I don't remember it fully, BUT I do remember it being absolutely delicious. -Milk and cereal. Maybe it's because I'm lukewarm on Fruity Pebbles personally, but this was my least favorite. Still, it was very tasty. Also: -Ube snickerdoodle. Also kind of lukewarm on this. It's pleasantly chewy and substantial, and the ube and coconut flavors are there, but I was sorely missing any cinnamon flavor in it. They're kind of pricey ($3.50 each IIRC) and they sell out quickly, but they're the best donuts I can remember having. Chewy, soft, just the right amount of sweet, with full-flavored and varied toppings. I'm coming back soon to try the sold-out taro glazed and strawberry shortcake flavors.

This is located next to Toast. While we were waiting for a table, we went inside Fill to take a sneak peek at this deliciousness. Everything behind the plexiglass looked amazing and colorful. But the real test came once I popped the ube haupia crunch in my mouth - it was just divine. The flavor was, as the website says - extraordinary. I also tried the pandan with haupia and it was equally divine. The texture and flavor of the mochi doughnut itself is way better compared to other mochi places here in the OC. I didn't care much for the chocolate haupia crunch cake though. The 2 times I came here, I noticed that most customers leave with a huge box (or 2) of their dozen. Thank you Fill Bakeshop for opening a location here in OC!

First place I've tried mochi donuts! They have very unique flavors like Vietnamese coffee and Thai tea and the mochi texture is unlike regular donuts. Best way to describe it is denser than a regular donut but not quite as chewy as mochi. I also tried their cookies like Ube snickerdoodle and Okinawa sweet potato which were nice and gooey on the inside and nice cookie texture on the outside. All their flavors are very easy to tell what they are and none are overly sweet. You can order online for pickup to avoid waits too! Great place if you want t on try mochi donuts in oc!

Their mochi donuts are really really good. I love the shape they make them, the donut is kind of bulbous and breaks into gratifying mouth-filling bite sized pieces. Definitely try a few flavors so you can find what you like - the flavors might not be 100% what you imagine if you're not used to mochi but that's not to say it's not good!

Best Mochi Donuts in town. Customer service is great. Price wise a little bit over price I think but worth every penny. $2.50 per donut Strawberry and Guava are our favorites in our home.
