My wife’s car turned out great. Staff was helpful and kind except for one guy who thinks it’s ok to talk over customers when they are speaking. News flash, nobody likes that.

I had Maaco repair rust and paint my 1997 suburban in a different color than original to the car. I am very happy with the results. There are very few minor imperfections in the paint and minor overspray. The rust repair was perfect. I had rust through the rear quarter panel and it is undetectable.

I wanted to get my whole car painted. I shopped around and got four different estimates ranging from $2800 to paint the roof, hood, and trunk to $7500 to paint the whole car. I decided to go to Maaco to get an estimate. Not only did Maaco fit me in for an estimate, they gave me the estimate on the spot, no waiting, and they worked within my budget. I got my whole car painted for less than other shops wanted to paint part of it. The owner was amazing and kind and Jessica answered all my questions. The paint job is perfect, no drips, no over spray, no cracked decals, my car looks like the day I bought it. I would definitely recommend this Maaco location.

Ask for Hector!! He is a Champ!!! This legend Hector stopped & dropped what he was working on to come outside and help me fix my bumper clip that the dealer couldn’t install correctly. My bumper kept popping out. The dealer didn’t wanna put in the right clip after the insurance paid them to fix and Hector like a genius tried three different Clips and found the right one that they should’ve installed from the beginning I will only go here to fix all my auto body needs from now on what a champ. Thank you Hector I really appreciate you.

I had my car repainted here 2 years ago instead of buying a new car. They turned my car (with peeling and faded paint) into a new looking vehicle with the metallic grey paint matching perfectly. I did the best paint package.Ever since, my mother in law had been asking to get her peeling paint car painted as well. We recently dropped off her car the day before Thanksgiving and got the lowest paint package, since that's what she could afford. We understood that the lowest paint type might not exactly match the seafoam metallic green paint. We were told that they were closed on Thanksgiving and half day on Friday, so our car was estimated to be ready the next week Friday. So I was surprised to get a phone call from Maaco on Monday letting me know the car was ready. My mother and father in law were over the moon happy and so impressed with the new paint job. The new metallic green was a nicer shade than it was previously. It really looks like a shiny new car.Thank you, Maaco for doing such an amazing job on our cars!

I came in and worked with Jessica and Hector. They were very patient and walked me through the options for my car. They were very patient with walking me through the different options. Particularly given the age of my car, I was trying to avoid spending a large amount on painting the outside. They answered all of my questions, and provided a written estimate, including after a followup call.At the time of dropoff, I was told 7-10 business days, but they called me in 4.5 days with a completed paint job! And I think it looks great! The only way I can tell that it's not a factory job is if I look closely after opening the gas door or the door sill areas (only after opening the doors).Overall, great work and great people here.Service: Painting

MAACO Costa Mesa- from a HAPPY REPEAT CUSTOMER.Under previous management, I had my 2001 Acura painted with them four years ago, it looked like new and still does. A week ago, I came back to take care of some trim issues and other details. Again, now under new management, results were top notch. Hector, the General Manager, did an excellent job going thru all the details and explaining the pros and cons. Thank you Hector for your excellent and friendly customer service and for "going that extra mile"!

I am very pleased with the service that I received from MAACO of Costa Mesa. My CRV was fully repaired and painted with great quality and the service team went above and beyond expectations by including additional projects without additional charges. That was a great surprise. The new owner of MAACO was with me every step of the way along with Hector who made sure that everything was to my satisfaction. I highly endorse them and found them to be much more reasonably than other shops in our area.

The owner called the police and the [Police] sided with me as I had all the facts and paperwork to collaborate my story and then escorted me out of the premise for safety reasons. I also have email evidence from the prior owner, advising things I needed fixed for which I approved, and then charged that were not repaired. I feel bad for the new owner because I was advised by a former employee that they left the new owner a "mess" of work and that I was not the only one whom this happened to in the transition. I also had a prior Maaco Franchisee of 23 years who just so happens to know the owner and his son (the prior owner) that reviewed the Maaco invoice and said the hours were excessively charged. Beware when they say this is going to be "50 hours" to fix 2 door panels - (15 can be sometimes confused, or sound like 50, but no, it was 50 hours which I declined and ended up buying new doors). They also advised to fix a quarter panel that was approx 8 hours of labor, which the prior Franchisee reviewed and advised was excessive but guess what? They didnt repair it, they instead painted over the bondo that was previously on the vehicle prior to bringing it in and was never fixed but yet tried to charge me for the repair -. I also have an email saying I needed the vehicle to be on a frame machine because the Driver side door panel needed to be aligned to be able to close, for which I said it was the door hinge , whether or not it was on the frame machine I seriously doubt because the vehicle door panel looks exactly the same and knowing they charged me for other items that I do have proof that were never fixed I can only imagine that it wasnt ever on a frame machine. It's unfortunate the new owner inherited the prior owners mess, however he tried to argue with me and I have the Police officers as witness. There were also a couple of minor things like removing the rubber and removing the windshield to paint that I was being charged and I told John the body guy and he looked annoyed that the owner did not advise them so that added more work. John the Body guy which is very cool also was annoyed that the owner did not tell him that the metal hinges needed to be removed when I went to pick up the car - so lots of misscommunications simply because the owner at the time did not relay what was discussed in the emails to his body guys. I also have some credible evidence that I will not disclose here which they are going to have to explain, and they should have no problem explaining if things are on on the up and up.I do believe the new owner is overwhelmed by the "mess" from the prior owner so I get that, but at the same time I have all the proof, which I will be sending to Maaco Corporate along with the paid invoices to collaborate my story so I can recover other items that were not complete on the truck. In the end, ALL (3) Police officers sided with me with the irate owner and one stayed near the owner, while the other 2 escorted me out to protect my safety. I have the upmost respect for the Costa Mesa Police Department. Thank You CMPD and I give you guys 5 stars! There are 3 others who also claim to have issues under the ownership change and I have reached out to them as well. Please text me if you had similar issues as mentioned to mine (949) 422-9030.
