This place is absolutely terrible. We came here for a basketball game and they were so unorganized and unprofessional. They didn't have their doors clearly marked and when I tried to walk out of the door, this disgusting man came over and yelled at me so aggressively. We were a bunch of moms watching a basketball game that we all paid the stupid entrance fee for this disgusting place. I will be filing a complaint with the league to make sure we don't play here again.

My son graduated with his Masters to become a teacher. Great program, great school, 85% of professors are PhD's conservative Christian values.

Sexist, racist, homophobic. Basically everything evil under the guise of Christianity. I have had a few lovely professors who were experts in their field but I was sexually harassed but the head of the department who was finally fired after at least a decade of women reporting similar incidents. All this school cares about is money and keeping up appearances. You'll be in debt forever if you go here, especially is you're not one of the rich privileged white students.

This was an OK college back in the 70's. However, as a female student there, the school did not protect the female students. Example, there was an older male who had attended the school a few years prior to 1973. He was a stocker trying to hang around the Freshman girls and when invited with a small group to his apartment all he talked about was sex. For years he was allowed on campus to Harrass the women. The school was not on top of these issues. They should have during orientation let the women know they were there to support them. Instead. Women were allowed to be preyed upon. Shame on them.

I had to fight for my sexual assault case that happened on campus to be taken seriously. And once it kind of was it was a warning for the male who disrupted my life at vanguard. My last semester I decided to not live on campus with my friends because he was still attending and the school hadn't done anything. Right after the incident happened the first thing the RD did when I told home what happened he asked "what did you do to provoke him". I will never step foot on vanguards campus again. And I will never have 1 good thing to say about them.

Wonderful school, accessible for and inclusive of my physically disabled daughter. The campus is beautiful. The staff and professors are professional, caring, genuine people. The university is helpful and provides the support my daughter needs. My daughter feels safe at all times. She loves the school and has since the very first campus visit. I was worried about being financially able to make the school possible, but Vanguard worked with us.

I live in Costa Mesa and walked around the school today to see their sports facilities with the idea of seeing games there later. Bad idea. I walked around the baseball diamond and a groundskeeper in center field started yelling at me. So I left and walked over to the soccer field. By this time three burly security guards "greeted" me in a confrontational in the parking lot and questioned why I was there. My answer didn't pass muster with them. I was asked to leave. When I commented why three guards had to secure the situation, one said there is more than that. I'm a 69-year Chinese-American with a total left knee replacement (2019) and torn Achilles tendon (2000). I have officiated various levels soccer, softball, baseball, and volleyball for the last 30 years. So my interest in sports is deep-rooted. Final takeaway: This isn't a friendly place.

I dropped out of high school and excelled at Vanguard if that says anything for you. The education feels like a sub par high school and you'll feel ripped off on everything from tuition to meal plans to housing to textbooks to literally just eventually asking yourself "why didn't i just go to community college". For me that's especially true as, once covid hit they put us out of our dorms. My Father worked with the Patriots NFL team and wasn't allowed to have anyone fly in to visit so i couldn't go home to the east coast and had nowhere to stay on the west coast. I let them know about this and was told i had to leave still, upon leaving, now working and going to school ONLINE my grades began slipping and i asked many times for graciousness i suffered a stroke and my brain function took a dramatic turn for the worst and i had a singular D and they dropped me from every class, told me they might be able to help me get back in if i just do a small report about what happened. I felt relief, but when i sent the report about why i needed grace they didn't do anything with it for literal MONTHS. To the point that im emailing my advisor like, hey im homeless now because its taken so long to figure out your stuff & can we get this ball rolling? Just to hear back actually we never were going to let you back in you need to go to community college and prove you can get better grades first like im not good enough to be there. So i give them $15k and get kicked out, led to believe everything will be okay and they'll house me again soon, back to "figure it out kid you're on your own" they really gotta get it together i have every receipt. I regret going here more than i regret any other decision in my life i am financially screwed i cant go to school cause now i have to pay the bill they left me with and im just here to warn you, if you're not a white, straight, rich person this school will financially and mentally bankrupt you and leave you with literally nothing. Seriously, they made some big mistakes that cost me the next 5-8 years of my life. Thanks for literally making me a homeless college dropout! I'd say my grades did that but they were working with me to get me back in telling me i'd most likely get back in no problem and completely failed to do anything on time resulting in my homelessness.

I attended this school back in 2018. I did not like it at all. I was the minority surrounded by white kids who thought they were entitled to everything. The white kids had no respect as they spoke their minds about race and status. This school had only about 8 Hispanics and about 10 African Americans. What kind of school does that? Talk about being a school of God. ALL the pastors are white and only talk about white issues and how it can be better, not once did I hear about loving all color or about the Gospel and coming to repentance. These pastors and chapels suck, they share no GOD in it. This school sings bethel and hillsong which is very demonic, they should look into the band before singing songs. Overall they only want money and only want white people at the school. I felt so secluded. I felt alone.

I feel compelled to write this review because of some of the negative comments on the page. Two of my daughters graduated from here, one with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and one with a Master in Education. As a parent I could not be happier. The facility was kind and professional and the environment was calm and very conducive to actual learning, unlike the school I went to way back when... If you want a party this is not the place. If you want an outstanding university, it is
