Twenty Mile House was the best decision we made for our wedding!
First of all, if you are looking for a unique venue that offers all inclusive packages and onsite accommodations this is your place! From the beginning, we were blown away by how beautiful the grounds were. The vendors were all amazing and super easy to work with! The food, flowers, desserts, Dj, and the overall flow of the day were PERFECT! I had a very specific vision in mind and the TMH staff made that vision a reality. The wedding coordinator Penie is amazing and you can tell she truly cares about making your day as special and perfect as possible. The twenty mile house staff takes care of everything so you don’t have to worry about anything the day of. We even had our rehearsal dinner/welcome party there the night before, which was super convenient for us and all our guests who were staying onsite. We would highly recommend this venue and can’t thank them enough for the best day of our lives, it was a truly magical weekend!

Where to begin… choosing TMH for our wedding venue was the best decision. From choosing the venue to the day of wedding, Pene was an absolute gem to work with and made the entire process so fun and so easy. She’s an expert and knows how to make the process effortless. Our wedding day was truly the best day of our lives and people are still telling us that it was the best wedding they’ve ever been to. I wouldn’t have changed one thing. If you are considering this venue, DO IT!!!

I attended a wedding this Saturday, and I have never felt the need to reach out to a venue the way I did after this event. My husband and I were absolutely blown away by the stunning location for the wedding and amazing set up of the reception. But, to top it all off the staff was phenomenal. I am not sure if the wedding coordinator works for you but she stepped in like a badass to conduct the ceremony when the pastor had a family emergency. The waitstaff and bar staff were friendly and jovial. Like they were happy to be there! I can't count the number of events I have been to that the staff looked like they were just waiting to clock out and collect their tips.
I didn't mention the dj, amazing! Or the photographers who were friendly and engaged with the crowd. I am certain I am overlooking something, but the wedding was absolutely unforgettable.

Hard to describe every way that Twenty Mile House is great: we fell in love with the gorgeous alpine venue setting first, but the level of service and convenience of the staff and in-house vendors sealed the deal. I didn't appreciate the peace of mind of using the in-house vendors until two days before the wedding when we arrived onsite. I was never worried or nervous about anything, all the details, timeline, etc. were taken care of and ready. The wedding was perfect and stress-free. The food was amazing and our guests all complimented us on the beautiful music, lights, and decor. We originally found Twenty Mile House because our neighbors got married there and we were looking for venues in that area, but we are lucky and glad we found them! Rachel and her staff are worth every penny.

We had our wedding at Twenty Miles House and it was an amazing, magical experience.
We wanted a very intimate wedding with only 30 people max. Twenty Miles House is prepared for bigger guest wedding but they were very patient and understand about our vision/ wish that gave is the price that we can agree on for our intimate wedding.
Preparation was very smooth and easy, Rachael and Pennie made everything easy for us with all the planning work sheet that will give idea to each vendor what our vision is. I had twin toddler under 2 years old when I was planning for wedding and I would’ve never made this happen without Rachael and Pennie’s help.
In December, we planned a detailed plan meeting with Pennie and it was super helpful to understand what will happen the day of, what still need to be planned on my side etc. I also want to give huge shoutout to Pennie since our van got stuck in the snow and couldn’t go up the hill coming out for Twenty mile house (Embarrassing experience lol). Pennie stuck with us and helped us get out of this situation!!
Wedding day, everything went smoothly. Our wedding day was magical. On our wedding day, we had 2 year old twins AND 2 month old baby. Twenty miles house staff made everything easy for us. We got to the venue earlier than the check in time since we had toddlers and baby, Twenty mile house staff kindly let us play at the venue while we wait for the lodge to get ready and gave us some sweets, milk and snacks. Since we have kids our wedding was with kids schedule, every staff member understand that and was super nice to us. Photographer who understand the difficulty of having toddlers and yet took the best photo of our special day with our kids, catering vendor Holly has saved us some food from our wedding in a “to go” box so that we were able to enjoy the food later on. ( And would like to mention that food was delicious ). DJ who understand out music choice and played as we requested He also kindly commented that he really enjoyed that we have included kids into our wedding every possible way.
Floweriest is AMAZING! I am so in love with her work and the arch flower work was breath taking. I am still in WOW.
Venue, Vendor, everything about Twenty Mile House was wonderful and it was impossible for us to have our dream wedding without them.

We booked with Twenty Mile House the day we toured - everything about this venue is absolutely beautiful, from the grounds to the amazing staff and everything in between. We knew the day we saw it that this was the place where we would begin our forever together! Once you get here, the venue speaks for itself and you’ll know if it’s right for you almost immediately.
The communication from Rachel and Penie was incredible, they were so meticulous and answered every question with great detail. When the wedding day finally came, I didn’t feel a single bit of stress thanks to their efforts in planning our whole wedding weekend down to the smallest details. They worked hard behind the scenes and all we had to do was sit back, relax, and watch the venue turn into everything we had pictured and more for our big day. During the wedding day I was able to be completely present in the moment while Rachel kept us on track with the timeline, she remembered all of the special moments I wanted captured, and the whole day flowed so effortlessly without having to worry about a single thing.
We could not be more grateful for the TMH staff and everything they did to make us feel right at home. The whole experience exceeded all of our expectations and was better than we could have ever imagined. Would HIGHLY recommend to anyone looking for an all-inclusive venue!!
When it comes time for a vow renewal, we already know where we will do it ... back at the place where it all began, at the Twenty Mile House! We can't wait to be back one day.

Our wedding at Twenty Mile House in late June was truly spectacular. The event director, Rachel, was very helpful and responsive via email in the weeks and days leading up to the wedding. And Rachel was also very organized, timely, and helpful on the day of the wedding itself. Furthermore, it goes without saying that the location is great and we loved the fact that TMH does wedding packages. This significantly reduced the stress of the typical logistics of a wedding: booking a good DJ, finding a nice florist, and lodging for many of our out-of-town family & friends. Not to mention, the catering with Holly & Pangaea is fantastic; my wife and I are foodies and we have loved the creative appetizers and delicious meals since trying some of them at Jessie’s Joint food truck in Quincy. The bar-tender with TMH was also great – she provided her own edible glitter for some of the wedding drinks. So fun! The florist was truly fantastic and we have to give major kudos to Sonia’s creativity. We chose some really exotic flowers (think birds of paradise, dahlias, foxglove, heliconias, etc) and for flowers that were out of season – the florist went out of her way to find alternatives that we really enjoyed. We had strong convictions and preferences about what we liked and what we disliked for the floral arrangement. But we still didn’t have a have an idea for what the final floral arrangement or floral picture would look like. But what Sonia came up with totally blew us out of the water with her creativity and artistic vision. And then to top it off, the photographer knows her craft. We were already impressed with the engagement photos that Rachelle took, but the wedding photos are on another level. She has an incredible ability to capture the sincerity of the moments, the laughter and the love – and she did so for our wedding. Our wedding at Twenty Mile House was perfect (period). The day after the wedding, we were talking about how we kept waiting for something in the wedding to go wrong, small or big. We kept waiting for the shoe to drop, so to speak – but with TMH, it never did. Our wedding at TMH was perfect and if we had to do it again, we wouldn’t change a thing about our wedding. Twenty Mile House was more than fantastic and maybe one day we will have our renewal vows there!

We had the most incredible experience working with the team at Twenty Mile House! They provide nearly all the vendors for our wedding weekend(photography, coordinator, catering, cake/dessert, DJ, florist, bartenders/service staff, etc.) which made planning streamlined and far less stressful. We loved the option of having the rehearsal dinner and lodging on site the night prior which allowed us to fully settle into the weekend. The venue itself is absolutely MAGICAL! From the historic buildings, sweeping trees, natural creek, and train tracks nearby, guests could not stop commenting on how gorgeous it all was. We are so grateful we found and opted to go with TMH for our wedding!!!

TMH was a great wedding spot. From the guest room cabins, to the river and bridges, and the flowers and natural grass, it’s truly a dream come true. If you want to get married in the trees with the rustic farm style/boho vibes or even a modern rustic or classic natural feel, this is your place. The wedding coordinators were responsive and helpful! All inclusive vendors for less stress too!

My now wife and I first toured Twenty Mile House in August of 2022, and right away, we knew that the venue, and the people that ran it, were special. Flash forward to our wedding day at Twenty Mile House in September 2023, where we looked back and realized it was truly the best choice we could have ever made!The wonderful staff of Twenty Mile made everything so easy and seamless, which are frequently not the words that come to mind while you are planning a wedding! They have a bunch of go-to vendors that they work with on a regular basis, who are all extremely talented, professional, and easy to work with! The team really allows you to control as much of the planning process as you want, and are great at adjusting for any accomodations that you or your party needs, allowing for a unique and individualized experience. ? The staff also went above and beyond to make sure that we, and all of our guests, had the night of our lives. We are so glad to be able to look back and relive our perfect day at such an amazing and beautiful venue. ♥️We HIGHLY recommend Twenty Mile House for any perspective couples looking for their dream wedding in the Lost Sierra. You will NOT be disappointed!

Twenty Mile House was the absolute perfect venue for us! We knew we wanted to get married in the Forest, but were not sure where. After sending out email request for information to several different locations, Rachel at Twenty Mile House was the first to respond. She was so helpful in answering all our questions and getting us the information we needed to make a decision. We live in Southern California and were not able to go up and view the property so she offered us a virtual tour. After that we were sold and booked it without seeing it in person! Thankfully it was the best decision we made. We got to go up a couple months later to attend one of their open houses to meet the vendors and see the accommodations, we immediately knew we made a great choice! Once the planning started we worked with Penie who was the best coordinator and was on top of everything. I have never planned anything like this before and she made the whole experience stress free and easy. The vendors were all lovely to work with and when the day came it was exactly what we hoped for. Everyone hit it out of the park and us along with our guest had the best time! It is so special that several of our guest got to stay on the property with us and the cabins are so charming and comfortable. If you are looking for the best wedding venue with the best staff and gorgeous location you need not look any further, Twenty Mile House is it!

Twenty Mile House went above and beyond our expectations. We could not have asked for a better wedding experience. The vendors were perfect (especially the food), the venue couldn't have been more beautiful with the river flowing through the property, all of our wedding guests were obsessed with staying on property through the weekend, and having Rachel and Penie every step of the way through the coordination was a huge plus. We just wish we had more time there so we could keep on partying. Thank you TMH for making our weekend special.

My husband and I got married at the Twenty Mile House in the beginning of September and it could not have been a more perfect day! All of the staff working the rehearsal dinner, wedding day, and the next morning were nothing be helpful and congratulatory. I lost my mother to cancer 4 months before our wedding and Penie (TMH coordinator) was nothing more than accommodating in changes all the plans we had already made! Not to mention that this venue is all-inclusive which made our planning the easiest thing ever!! Not having to worry about communicating/coordinating with a ton of vendors made the whole process of wedding planning smooth. My husband and I knew we wanted to get married near Lake Tahoe and the Twenty Mile House encapsulates Lake Tahoe with less crowds and more charm, plus the history of the venue is hard to beat. We will never forget our magical day at Twenty Mile House.

Our expectations were really high going in after reading all the other reviews for this venue and it still exceeded all of them. Penie, our coordinator, and the rest of the staff at Twenty Mile House and their included vendors executed on our vision for our wedding perfectly and made it an amazing celebration. All we needed to do was outline the general idea of what we wanted and then let the professionals at TMH do their thing. Having all the vendors attached to the venue really simplified our planning and made the wedding day celebration run like clockwork. All our guests commented on how it was the best wedding they’ve been to and we were beyond thrilled. We can’t thank Penie (coordinator), Rachelle (photographer), Will (DJ), Sonia (florist), Holly (caterer), Kim (desserts), Rachel (coordinator) and staff enough for all their hard work putting the whole celebration together.
