The sales lady (I assume she's not the owner , but who knows) - here is super rude and arrogant. We are about supporting local businesses but with a rude owner, terrible customer service, limited shoe choices, bad return policy, no thanks. To top it she doesn't know basic addition - she even had the bill wrong Steer away you will get the same pair of shoes at a much reasonable price at Amazon with much better customer service and good return policies.

The owner / sales person ( whoever the lady is) does not give a damn about customers. The lady was rude since we stepped into the place. I would not spend a penny on them, BEWARE and stay away from this place!!

Well this is for the Cupertino branch. Went in with my toddler today looking for shoes since she refused to wear her shoes, I thought maybe a new design or size might work. There was no one else in the store. The one and only sales person sat the counter and looked busy on her cellphone. Circling the store twice, I decided to leave without buying anything. We went for lunch and went back to get our car parked outside the store, it took us awhile to get our girl ready for the drive and during this time, I saw 2 sets of parent and child leaving as soon as they stepped in. Maybe I'm wrong but if the lady at the counter is not the boss, then I suggest retraining her or get someone else who will make your walk in customer (like me) feel glad they came in and leave with some shoes.

First, let me share that my kid is part wild-animal, part human. She is ALWAYS on the move, and literally never stops. Not even in her sleep. When it was time to get her fitted for her first pair of shoes a month before her first birthday I didn't really know where to go, but found Howard's online, and my mom also said they'd been around for years. I called to make an appointment in August 2020 (thanks COVID) and was able to schedule something within the week. When we arrived for our appointment the employee that was there was just ok. My daughter wasn't super great at standing at the time, and the rep just didn't seem too comfortable with my wild-animal child. We ended getting a pair of Stride Rite shoes and they lasted a while, but they had velcro and my kid was super into taking them off all the time. Fast forward about 6 months and we needed another appointment in February 2021. This time the rep was GREAT! She spoke to my daughter like she was the customer, offered different options, and listened to my concerns about velcro. She let us try on a bunch of different options and chatted with us while my daughter roamed around the store getting the feel for the shoes. While their shoes are on the pricier side, the service and fitting they offer is great.

We had an over-the-top wonderful experience at Howard's this afternoon to buy shoes for my toddler. We squeaked in late in the day when I realized we had a rare free moment and her shoes had gotten painful, and the salesperson was so gracious and kind to help us so late in the day. The toddler has strong opinions and loves purple everything, but the salesperson quickly found multiple purple pairs of shoes that fit her well. I would've picked the wrong size if I'd ordered elsewhere, plus the salesperson commented about shoes that they no longer stock because of quality issues - and if I'd ordered elsewhere I wouldn't have had that really helpful feedback. This quick, easy trip saved me a lot of time and effort, well worth the extra few bucks to support an independent shop. Kiddo (having not been into a store in nearly a year, plus she's two) got distracted by a rain boot display on the way out, and my attempts to explain that we weren't buying rain boots were edging her toward a tantrum when the amazing salesperson swept in again and offered a very clever exchange of boots for a coin to use to pick out a little toy from a machine. Small crisis averted by total pro! I left feeling incredibly grateful, and Kiddo was so excited about her new shoes that she didn't want to take them off so I let her wear them to bed just this one time.

Found this place while visiting the area for the weekend. Called, and was able to set up an appointment for the same day. Karla is the specialist who helped us find shoes for our children. Prior to visiting the store, we'd been getting the wrong type of shoes (more trendy than ones for support). She was very patient with the kids as they freely roamed in between fittings. The fittings are tailored per family (as only 1 family is allowed in the store at a time for social distancing), and I didn't feel rushed! We walked out with some shoes, and had to order the other pairs because of the sizes/styles needed weren't in stock. We paid, and were given a timeframe for pick up, but they came in sooner than expected. Karla shipped them to us instead, and I still received them ahead of schedule.

Viri - thank you! Found my ten year old son shoes! You don't know how difficult it is to find shoes for him when his feet are wide. Viri took the time to measure and searched the whole store top to bottom and brought out the shoes that fit perfectly. 5 stars for service and attitude! She enjoys working here, you can see it in her demeanor!

Good shoes. Decent prices as there was a buy one get second shoe half off deal. Service is really fast but in general not too courteous or kind.I just wish they would work on those aspects of their service and they would otherwise be a great store. We did buy two good shoes there.

Updating from last year. We recently came to get my 4yo and 2yo new shoes during the SIP/Quarantine. We had to make an appointment to be seen. The ladies were quick, friendly and helpful. It was comfortable enough to bring my newborn baby in the car seat and covered too. Was able to compromise with my kids on quality while they still were able to get color and sparkles on the shoes. it was nice to be the only family shopping, especially after they just had their carpets freshly cleaned. We come annually for my kids and are never disappointed.

Always get a top notch service when my family and I go in. We have been going to Howard's for 27 years +. Now I get to bring my children in. Andy always goes above and beyond to get our kids what they need, his staff is extremely friendly and great with children. We will be seeing you tomorrow for another couple pairs

My son & I had a great experience here today. They offer appointments times right now & plan to continue to do so once in-store retail can open again. We had plenty of time to try on styles & the person who helped us really knew her stuff. It’s great they’ve been able to continue to operate during the pandemic.

Be aware before purchasing. They don't accept return. They will only do exchange or give you store credit.

We have been a recurring customer to buy shoes to our 1 year old son, but now we will not continue, mainly due to the customer service from the store. The second pair that we bought has a quality issue that it could not tie and was often loose, and even slipped off from his feet several times within the first month of wear. I called them before going there, saying that I had the shoes with me and did not bring receipt, asking whether I could come and exchange. They said ok.The moment I got there, one helper was ok for us to exchange, but the other lady said no. First reason she said the shoes has been wear and they cannot exchange. I insisted it has the quality issue and it just does not stay in his feet at all. Then she offered half price as store credit, and I insisted exchange. Then she asked me to contact the manufacturer for exchange, and last she said she wanted to see the receipt for exchange. I was not happy with how they treat their customers. I worked as customer services myself and I work my best to treat my customer what they deserve and I try to think in their shoes. I am sorry that I am not going to continue with them, but I really hope they could improve their services for other customers in the future.
