My wife and I have utilized the Diamond Springs Post Office for nearly 20 years and have received excellent serve during all that time. The staff at USPS Diamond Springs has always been friendly and helpful. We are grateful for their fine service.I am dismayed to read the negative reviews here. It seems that some of them have been written as reviews of the USPS in general, not this specific post office. Also, regarding the allegation of Diamond Springs Postmaster being a thief, that is both preposterous and completely uncalled for. Pam is a wonderful person and an fine Postmaster and deserves nothing but kudos for her efforts. Thanks you D.S. USPS for your most excellent service!

The staff here is so nice and personable! With how much we ship it's nice to walk into this location and always see a friendly face. They know us by name and are always so willing to help.

The worst. #1 this older man was very rude. And strange. Every time he asked me a question. He made this hmmmm sound. Twords me. It was rude. I asked to get my mail. But don't have the key. My mail is sent to my grandmother's po box. We both have the same last name. He tells me to get my ID out and he will go looking his list if the name matches the po box #. Well I tell him what my name on the ID said. He looks at the list and clearly hmmmss and says " thats someone's else name on here . He could of asked me what the name on the list was as well and I could have told him but no he just wanted to be rude and give off this negitive energy. I can not pull the box sorry." He said. Clearly he could have went opened the po box and see if my mail was in there. He said "your going to have to come back with a key to open it. How in all. Am I suppose to come up with a lost key dude. So if I can't get my mail. And I miss something of mine that's important. I am going to sue for with holding my mail from me. He didn't even really step up to counter and take my ID back and see if name matches the mail. In the po box I gave him. So one more attempt to get mail and if not find a lawyer. Also I had order a key and the man refused to let me get it after I had ordered it. So I want my money back or the key and my mail. Thank you.

If I could give a negative star, I would. Long story short, I had some packages that were supposed to be delivered, and they were delivered to the wrong apartment. The person at this apartment ended up stealing my packages. The Post Office found out about it after me waiting a month and a 1/2 to hear something back. Then the postmaster said she was going to write me a letter to give to the business that I never received packages from because they got stolen to hopefully get a refund or the packages re-delivered. The postmaster said she would send me the letter within a couple days . She never sends the letter I have to call multiple times only to hear that she's not in the office and hasn't done the letter. Weeks later, I called the Post Office again and finally got ahold of the Postmaster. She tells me she never wrote the letter because she ended up having medical problems. And I totally understand things happen, but if she had done the letter and kept her word when she said she was going to, it would have never been a problem. At the end of the day, I am out the money for my packages and feel a serious mistrust with this post office. I would also like to add that my regular mail delivery woman is wonderful. There was a substitute driver on the day of this happening.

For a smaller post office, they have excellent service and all the services. The people that work here always go the extra step to help out, especially when picking up large or make packages. Mail for the PO boxes are processed quickly and always the same day.

In July I sent my sister a package for her birthday. The employee behind the counter helped me package the gift. It was obviously a small box that one would consider it was jewelry. I opted not to purchase the additional insurance over $50 although the value of earrings were just over $100. I reviewed the tracking the next day and it said it was listed as "In Transit". After a week had past, I called USPS and they said they could not find it in the system. I filed a complaint with the Office of Inspector General but they referred me to the local office. After several weeks of following up, the Post Master (Pam) at the Diamond Springs office called me and said they were doing their best to track down my package. She even said she may have been the one who helped me that day. She recently called and said she was working on it and said she would call me back the following day. That was two weeks ago. She has not returned my phone call. I suspect that she is the one who took my package because she knew it was of value and magically my package is no where to be found. I have no trust in the postal service at this location. If I could give negative stars, I would

Q. What is the sole purpose of the post office??...A. To deliver mail/packages!!!This post office returns my on-line purchases, without even contacting me because I don't have daily mail delivery!!! They made NO attempt to deliver my packages, leave a receipt on my door telling me to come down, or even calling the phone # listed on my packages!!! When I learned (from Amazon) about my returns the post office lied & said I had an expired Forward Address!! Worst post office EVER!!! DO YOUR JOB & DELIVER THE MAIL/PACKAGES!!!

Unbelievably, the best service from a Post Office ever! I had a certified letter sent from this Post Office to another in the same County, who delivered, but did not get a signature, which was very important. Pam researched, contacted the other location, followed through, made sure a signature was obtained, after the delivery, and took care of business. Thank you Pam, you went way above and beyond, thank you!
