I came here with my gf and friend to buy stuff just to be greeted by a Walmart employee saying we weren't allowed in. We waited outside as others passed us by entering the shop, we were allowed in shortly after. After entering the store we were shopping until I realized an employee was tailing us. Shortly after he addressed us telling us we looked suspicious and implied we were stealing. After that we checked out our stuff and left. I came here again today with me gf just to again be told to wait outside. The amount of ageism some of the employees here show is ridiculous and rude to customers like me.

Not sure why this Walmart has such low reviews. I think this one might be the best one in Elk Grove, our go to. Walmart is a Walmart, but definitely cleaner and much more availability in their items. The lines do go pretty quickly as well.

I know better than to try to buy batteries and postage stamps at WalMart, but I was hoping for a different outcome today. No such luck. Apparently WalMart doesn't want to sell any batteries, because they are behind a counter and I would have had to wait in line just to get a package handed to me so that I could finish my shopping. If this is an item that is frequently shoplifted, surely there is a better procedure to protect the product than inconveniencing the honest customers. I always use the express checkout because of the level of incompetence of the cashiers. But they won't stock postage stamps, and when you ask for a book of stamps, they wander off on a tour of the store and if you're lucky they only take 10 or 15 minutes to come back. This is an $11 item. Why can't the policy be to stock a book or two in the drawer? So after the clerk finished doing several things before going to the back of the store to retrieve the stamps, I walked out. Maybe if she has to walk them back without a sale she will have learned something about driving away the customers.I try to avoid any interaction with the employees because of these types of miserable outcomes. And I find myself shopping at different stores to avoid the hassles. This WalMart is absolutely the closest store of any kind to my house, and they have still managed to chase away my business.

I had to stop at the store while out of town to pick up a few items, and I was happy to find that they had most of what I needed. One thing that struck me as a bit odd was that they had a boot-like locking system on their alcohol, which I found to be a bit amusing. I expect this ish out of Sac town but Elk Grove...c'mon.Aside from the boot, the store was clean and well-maintained, and the staff were friendly and helpful. However, the selection of items was somewhat limited, and I ended up having to go to another store to find everything I needed.

Biked to this Walmart and left without a bike. After shopping, I came back to a fake Walmart employee who claimed my bike was his bike. I asked him to cooperate with me however he refused to and said he would knock me out if you try to leave with "his" bike. He brought his 6'7 friend to help him so we went to the manager to check the cameras but they took approximately 40 minutes just to review some footage. I went back to check if my bike was there and boom... it was gone. They broke the lock and stole the bike, and the Walmart manager couldn't do anything about it. I was truly hurt and emotionally traumatized after this experience. Never coming back

First and foremost, let me just put it out there, I prefer Target over Walmart. But every so often I stop by Walmart because certain things can be more economical. On the occasions I do patronize this place I'm always reminded as to why I prefer Target. In most cases, I find my frustration lies in the customer service aspect and today was no different. I got less than 10 items and placed them on the conveyor belt then had my reusable bags lightly placed on top, for the convenience of the cashier bagging them. Little did I know, Walmart cashiers do not bag reusable bags. Ok, fair enough. My concern was more or so with "Carolina" the cashier. Instead if sharing this information, she barked "can you get your bag?" me, in a state of confusion, unknowingly picked up the bag and said "this". She said "you do it"...still confused, I said "I have to bag it" . "Yes", Carolina said. So I bag it. Carolina went on to tell me my total and could care less about me not knowing the protocol. Nor did she care to explain which would've been decent form of customer service but I guess I might've had my hopes aimed too high for Walmart. Also, they were all out of vegetables in the frozen food section. Completely emptied. Nonetheless, back to Target, I go.

Ordered yard sign for my daughters high school graduation. This is how it finally showed up after not coming on the date promised. Blurry picture, not how it was supposed to look, says your text here and isn't even lined up on the board. Not to mention I had to wait a long time while they had a scavenger hunt to find where they put it. Even tho they called me that it FINALLY arrived. Will never ever order anything photo from this Walmart again. Not enough time to reorder and get in time for her graduation. Not happy at all especially when I'm already stressed about her graduation and depended on Walmart for this one thing to be done right.

This Walmart is a hit or miss depending on which part of the store you go to or depending on the items you're trying to get. The best part about this Walmart is that there is a large selection of items and it's in a convenient location. There are items they lock up unnecessarily (think allergy medicine). For items that are locked up, you must click the button to get someone to come over and open up the cabinet. Sometimes it takes several tries to get someone to come over. You can't just flag any employee down because they have to actually get a key. After you get someone to retrieve the item, you must check out at the first register, just to the right of the pharmacy. It's inconvenient because this line is the only one you purchase your locked up items. This is also not an express checkout, so people can be purchasing large amounts of items, which backs up the line. I suggest going during off times to avoid the lines (avoid going around dinner time any day and perhaps weekends). Service can also be hit or miss. At times, I've gotten nice service from the curbside pickup and from the customer service counter, and other times at the register I've gotten poor service. Keep in mind you can only price match to Walmart online. Basically they price match to themselves. They do not price match with other competitors anymore.

I have been shopping at walmart for 8 years but this one clerk (or whatever he is) has been rude to me for the 3rd time. Today I walked into the store & he had a giant smile as he spoke to anyone that was Caucasian but with me, that turned his smile into a frown. I decided to just watch.....welp he was friendly & spoke to anyone who who looked like him but me & any latin, indian or any other african american were ignored. I actually asked 2 people if he spoke to them but they said no, not a peep. This was a young man with red hair. The last time I will shop there. I feel like walmart could care less since he been doing this for over a year.

It's Sunday afternoon - you're feeling pretty productive and decide to go run some errands. Got a few items to return to Walmart - ya pack them up, figure out your receipts, hop in the car, drive over to good ole' Wally World, park, and walk through the automatic doors like you're the champ. Then horror hits you - you see the barricades by the return counter. It's dark. Your heart sinks and you mentally buckle your knees to the ground and scream "NoOooooooOOOOO!!....." Why oh why is the customer service counter closed? -_- You collect yourself and the anger and frustration sets in. You talk to a worker with a glimmer of hope that you can still process your return....but nope, the counter is CLOSED. The worker was semi-apologetic, but gave no reason. It's just closed, she said. I've gotten over Walmart no longer matching their customer service/return counter operating hours with their store hours. No more night returns, but stick with their schedule. OK, I can do that. Now, they just randomly have their counters closed with no explanation. This hasn't only happened once, but 2 to 3 times during the past few months. It's frustrating, it's maddening, and it's a complete waste of time and gas money. Mr. Walton's ghost, you've built a huge retail corporation and the folks that run it today can't even keep your return counter open during the stated hours. I know stores are hurting for workers, but this is ridiculous. You're Walmart goddamnit. Ya can't even have one person be at the customer service counter. GAAHHH. PS: Walmart you owe me 82 cents for gas.

Thank you Cliff in Electronics for going above and beyond in helping me exchange a faulty FM transmitter. I appreciate you. Thank you Mary Ann for processing the exchange when customer service was closed.

Curbside pickup is slooooow. The guy who I didn't understand his name was rude. Better off shopping inside the store. On to the next for me. I choose Delta Shores location.

This walmart is terrible. i understand supply chain problems but if they paid their employees better then maybe things would run smoother. there are tons of products without displayed prices all over the store and no scanner due to covid, what is that excuse? the machines are touchless, dumb. also they never have much of anything stocked and when they do stock its smack in the middle of day making it hard to get around all these huge pallets of stuff. i went to return something a while back and the service desk is just closed at like 10 am on weekday. boo walmart

Peggy, the front end manager , based on the direction of the store manager (Mike), refused to give a discount on a damaged item. The item, a set of cake decoration tips, had a tip missing (obviously was stolen) from the set. I really only wanted a 30-50 cent discount. The store could have sold the item to me despite the missing tip if they would have offered a minimaI discount. I imagine the item will be put back on the shelf hoping to sell it to someone else who may not notice. They declined to see if they had others in the back despite my willingness to purchase a full set at the regular price. This store does not exhibit the customer service I expect as a consumer. I will not be going back.

This is definitely one of the better Walmart location in Northern California. I have been two tons of Walmart locations just like probably everybody else on this planet LOL. And I must say I was very pleased with it this location. I first wanted mention the part. There is plenty of parking at this Walmart and it makes it super simple for you to get close to the front door. I next want to mention the people that work at this location. They were very kind and they did everything they could to make sure we had a really good experience. I definitely want to compliment the cleanliness of this location. The store was very clean and you can tell the staff definitely cares about their customers. I went to the money center and it was very easy for me to get a money order from this location. Got line at the money center was not too long which it is at the other Walmart location. Super fast. I even bought stamps from this location as well. I typically do not buy stamps from Walmart but it seemed like it was a really good deal at the time so I did purchase them. All in all everything went really smoothly at this location. I'm very happy I found it. Also, I got a really good deal on these really cool slippers
