I had made a haircut appointment for 10 am. I arrived exactly at 10 am and was told they were short of one barber so could not honor my appointment. However, a person without an appointment was taken in for haircut before me and I was asked to come back in the afternoon. I decided not to get my haircut there after this experience.

The welcoming we received by the barbers upon entrance was so warm, we felt right at home. We were seen as a walk-in w a minimal wait, maybe 5 minutes. Super clean shop, great music, chilled drinks in the fridge, easy parking, all the comforts of a favorite establishment. My son has a LOT of hair, it’s a tough cut that has been mangled by less experienced hands at other shops in the past. David’s masterful technique ensured a clean cut w complimentary grow-out that shaped my son’s face perfectly. So grateful to David for building back my son’s trust in the barber shop technique…now my son can’t wait for his monthly freshie cut! And you know what’s great? They love what they do here. It’s an art form and you feel the love when you walk in. Grateful to David & Figaro - you guys are the best.

I’ve been getting my hair cut by Rick for about 15 years now. I can always count on him to give me a great cut and 100% trust his vision. What I’ve always appreciated about his work is his attention to detail and takes his time to get it right. This new shop is in such a great location with easy parking and all of the other barbers I met seemed like great guys, too! Highly recommend.

I just had the most AMAZING hot towel shave at this barber shop with Ricardo. ? He was one of the best I've ever had. Not only did he do an impeccable job, he was a true professional. He had serious skills and paid attention to every little detail, leaving me looking sharp and relaxed!
The shop is very clean and tidy. There was no waiting around and wasting time.
All in all, the experience was top-notch! ?
If you're looking for an enjoyable grooming experience, I highly recommend Ricardo. You'll leave feeling like a million bucks ?

I was looking for a shop after my barber moved and was so glad I found this new barber shop! Great location on the corner of Vulcan and Leucadia with plenty of open parking. I made an appointment online with Robert but since he was busy Ricardo offered to cut my hair. He did an outstanding job, and was incredibly detail oriented with my cut. I asked for a low skin fade and he didn’t disappoint. Showed him a picture of what I wanted and although it came out a little shorter than I wanted, it was still one of the best haircuts I’ve ever had - highly recommend this shop if you’re in the market for a barber in Encinitas or Carlsbad. Only bad thing is that they’re cash only - they do however have an ATM on site that charges $3.00 for withdrawals. Really looking forward to coming back, I can definitely say I found my new barbershop (especially if they start accepting credit cards)!

My dad has been taking care of my mom for the past 10 years and getting his hair and beard cut was not a priority! However, today is my daughter’s graduation and he always said he would cut it when she graduated! Today’s the day! We couldn’t have been more happy that we found Figaro’s barber shop! The best experience ever! You will be blown away by the professionalism, expertise & and care he took with my 83 year old father! I am so grateful! We will be back! Come and check it out yourself!

Had a great experience today as a walk-in! Ricardo killed it, I walked in a mess and he put me on point! Great environment, hospitality, professionalism and experience! Recommend this place, as it is a premiere north county barbershop!
Stylist: Ricardo was my barber, he just got done. He asked a few questions as to what I was looking for, and then executed! His experience came through in his approach and technique! This guy knows what he’s doing! He, and others in he shop, were quite personable!
