I'd be very cautions with this contractor. Had Rachel from C&L on 03/23 for the estimation. I waited more than a week just to find out that she went on vacation, then another two weeks. Then she calls saying they're busy and says I should sign contract with them FIRST! And I won't get any estimation prior. This is not only ridiculous but irresponsible. None of the contractors who I interviewed ever asked to sign contract prior estimation. Stay away from Rachel if you decide to work with C&L

I recently had the pleasure of working with C&L Construction Inc., and I couldn't be happier with the results! From start to finish, they demonstrated incredible professionalism, transparency, and attention to detail. They helped us remodel our kitchen, and I was blown away by how smoothly everything went. The team was punctual every day, kept our home clean during the project, and communicated every step of the process. Their craftsmanship is top-notch, and they even completed the project ahead of schedule! C&L Construction Inc. truly exceeded our expectations, and I would highly recommend them for any home renovation needs

Choosing C&L Construction Inc. for our bathroom renovation was the best decision we made. The entire team was friendly, efficient, and highly skilled. They took the time to understand our vision and provided us with valuable input on materials and design, which made all the difference. The attention to detail was outstanding, and the finished product was beyond what we imagined. The project was completed on time and within our budget, which is rare to find these days. I am thrilled with the outcome and have already recommended C&L Construction Inc. to friends and family looking for quality work they can trust.

C & L came on to my property to remodel my bathroom. The crew of men that C&L brought into my home to do the work I truly believe were picked up at a HOME DEPOT parking lot to work the job. The project manager was a fellow named Issac (last name unknown). This man lied and mislead me on several aspects of the project, and was very adept at schmoozing, covering up, while convincing an unsuspecting customer that C&L always had my interest as a priority. The tiled walls were not smooth and even where the edges of each block met. As you run your hand over the walls surface in many spots some of the blocks were higher than the block next to it. The hardware for the faucets and shower (that was purchased at HOME DEPOT) were the cheapest that were sold there have corroded to the point that I have needed to replace all of the fixtures. But I was charged a price that was equal to some of the high end hardware like Moen and Kohler. These guys are professional "RIPOFF ARTIST". Be careful, and keep a close eye on them. My experience working with them has helped me develop and a home owner hiring contractors. Beware! Be aware!Services: Bathroom remodeling

Oren, Orly and Eli were the people I dealt with directly to work with C & L for my construction project (huge master bathroom) for my brand new home. I won't get into too many details as to why my brand new home needed a new master bathroom, but simply put, the original builders built a non-functional bathroom that didn't drain or slope correctly. So everything from tile, plumbing, sloping, waterproofing, etc needed to all be done from scratch.Everyone there has been amazing to work with. Oren and Eli are the owners and are super knowledgeable about construction as they do ground-up luxury projects. Orly the office manager was super friendly and helpful.Eli had promised me from the beginning there would be no change of order during the process. This is quite a big promise, and I figured it was a sales pitch initially, but he stuck to his word throughout the process. A variety of unforeseen issues arose mid-project due to shoddy original construction, and he always took care of it out of his own pocket.I always felt extremely supported throughout the entire process. I am not an expert in home construction by any means, but Oren and Eli took the time to really teach me the different options I had. I never felt rushed or pressured into making quick decisions. Eli probably stopped by my house at least 15 times during the 2-month project. He is practically part of the family now.I have already recommended this group to my brother, best friend, and cousin who all have multimillion dollar homes in Brentwood/Mandeville Canyon. I've also recommend this group to my parents. I say this to stress to you how much I trust this team. The best of the best hands down from a customer service perspective. From a quality standpoint? Extremely high quality outcome. I've attached a picture of the completed bathroom. But I watched every stage of the demolition and construction - and everything was done with precision and care. Take a look at the final product in the photo. Every single person who has seen it in person has said "Wow". It looks incredible. I don't think the picture does it justice.Hiring C & L was the best hiring decision I've made in a while. I look forward to working with them on new projects as I continue to acquire new pieces of property. I would give them 10 stars out of 5 if I could. If you are debating between C & L and another contractor, do yourself a favor and choose C & L. You will be so happy you did. Good luck to all you homeowners and thank you C & L for an incredible experience and an amazing master bathroom.Services: Remodeling

Thoroughly enjoyed my experience working with this firm on a complete renovation of my condo in WestLA. They are extremely knowledgeable, reliable professional and trust worthy. Not only did they complete my renovation earlier than expected, they came in on budget. I travel a lot and trusted them to complete the job while I was out of town. They also know how to work with HOA boards to ensure they are doing everything they need to do in order to stay compliance with HOA rules and kept my neighbors happy with their very professional work crews. I refer this firm to all of friends.

They were so nice and giving and so helpful. We started out with planning and took the next step of 3D. He showed me different versions of the home and we fell in love with one of them. All the details, flooring, backsplash, choice of granite, and kitchen turned out amazing.

What a fantastic job! I contacted C & L Construction for a bathroom remodeling project. Their expertise, work quality, reliability, and customer service were stellar. They took care of every detail starting with the demolition of the old space and then putting up the new drywall, installing a new electrical system, plumbing, tiles, fixtures, lighting, skylight and scheduling inspections. The crew was very professional with great skills and kept the workspace clean and safe for us at all time. The bathroom looks gorgeous and we couldn’t be happier with the outcome. Eli and Oren are an amazing team, great professionals, very creative, and above all wonderful people. I would highly recommend them to anyone considering remodeling their home.Services: Remodeling

We are a group of investors that develop single family properties, this is the second time we have worked with C&L, and the third project will be coming soon, as we are very happy with the results. This approximately 5,200 sf, extremely custom, high-end two-story home was constructed VERY FAST (10 months from demolition to Certificate of Occupancy). The contractor was very professional, they have great office staff, the whole job was very organized: there was not a SINGLE week day that they didn’t have a full crew working. Eli stays engaged throughout, keeping things moving forward as quickly as possible. We had hardwood floors, custom tilework, custom cabinetry, lots of built-ins, very high-end finishes, solar, low voltage systems: C&L had people who could handle it all. From Architect to Engineer, designer and staging, and particularly handling the new COVID protocols that commenced two weeks after demolition was complete, 5145 Collett Avenue was in excellent hands: we recommend C&L Construction without reservation.Service: General construction

My parents had C&L build a deck for them in 2017. There was a number of problems during construction and installation that one should not expect from a company with supposed "top-notch service", as their website states. We simply decided that we would never do business with this company again and tell everyone we know about our experience with them. However, we are currently having the deck expanded by someone else, and after uncovering even more of this job, we are fed up. We are filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau so that when this happens again, they might be held accountable. I have pictures I took 3 years ago when it was done and some I took just recently when new construction started. We decided to write a review as the poor quality still irks us.My folks paid $14,000 for a ~400 sq ft deck that was not built with the "quality materials" or "skilled staff" that was promised. At that price, it should have been built with real redwood or Trex decking. Instead we got home depot grade lumber, and shoddy workmanship.Part of the deck was installed over an old cement porch. Little to no construction adhesive was used, causing the boards laid over it (which were warped because apparently it was cheap lumber) to bow up from the old porch and bounce when you walk on them. I had to correct this fairly soon after completion 3 years ago using cement screws and directly fasten the deck boards into the porch. While installing the vertical posts for the deck, they poured the concrete around the 4x4 posts, creating a depression immediately around the post where water could pool and eventually rot out the wood more quickly. My parents caught this at the time and had to make them pour additional concrete to prevent pooling, but some of the posts are still very low (pics 1& 2).They used wooden fence boards for the front skirt, which they only stained the front of and THEN cut the boards (with a rough cut which ruined some of the stain anyway *pic 3*) to length so they sat snugly on the uneven dirt below the deck without sealing them. I dug a drainage ditch a few weeks later and saw that all of the boards were different lengths (pic 4)The walking surface of the deck was not stained until after it was installed and, like the skirt, only the visible side was stained. They left three out of four sides of ALL of the boards with no stain or sealer, which will cause them to rot more quickly than if they had been fully sealed (pics 5, 6, & 7). My 60-year-old mother and I had to spend 3 days on our hands and knees in the LA summer heat with small paintbrushes repainting in-between ALL of the deck boards to hopefully give it a bit more longevity, but there is nothing we can do for the underside. They were also careless with the stain, getting it on the side of the house and spilling it without cleaning it up (pics 7, 13, 16, & 17)There are numerous lazy cuts made with a skill saw in the wood, where rather than make precise cuts that would look good finished, there are visible over cuts. (pics 8 & 9).Many of the boards used for the guard rail have visible lumberyard stamp marks on them, and when initially installed (pics10 & 11), still had the barcode stickers on them that had just been stained over. Not even all of the posts they used match. I don't know if they ran out of posts, but some are pine, and others are pressure treated 4x4s. (pics 14 & 15).Additionally, one of the guys cracked a window while handling a long board (honest mistake) and they offered to fix the window, only to turn around and say that "they don't make windows that size" (6'x3') and that they needed to replace the whole thing and could do the whole house while they were at it. So they tried to spring a whole other project on my overwhelmed mother. In conclusion, the best thing you can say about this deck is that it is built. AVOID C&L Construction AT ALL COSTS.Service: General construction

We chose C&L Construction to re-tile one of our showers due to the many 5 star reviews. We are glad we did after they recognized that we had mold after 50 years, that the bath's electrical system was not up-to-date and that there was no fan in the ceiling. They also fixed a botched job from a plumber recommended by our coop. A previous tiler also recommended by our coop did not recognize our needs and gave us an inflated cost estimate. Eli explained every step of the work, was on site almost every day inspecting the previous day's work, making sure his team knew exactly what was needed. He arranged for half a dozen state inspectors to check every aspect of the work. His teams are fully professional, are engaging and clean up thoroughly before leaving for the day. Impressive, after hearing other peoples' horror stories. Eli and Oren are friendly and warmhearted and made us feel like family. We have already recommended C&L to four friends, one of whom found their estimate well below a previous quotation. For peace of mind and a wonderful experience we are absolutely delighted to have found Eli and his company!Services: Remodeling
