Under Judy’s supervision this Post Office has greatly improved. Well done all!

The post master who took over the Fairfax Post office several years ago appears to have serious boundary issues with customers. In addition to an inflated notion of her own importance and sense of agency over the customers' business, she is rage-infused, overbearing, officious and contemptibly rude. An inveterate attention whore, she appears to thrive on causing scenes, embarrassing customers quietly waiting for service, identifying problems that don't exist for which she demands actions that are entirely uncalled for. I started going to Fairfax, since the San Anselmo Post office has devolved into a violent criminal enterprise. Presently, I would say one could just pick their poison in terms of going to one post office or another. It is a shocking sight to behold, witnessing the conduct of postal workers in the office during the past decade. I simply cannot imagine that any other reasonable employer would not have given the present post masters at either San Anselmo or Fairfax, their walking papers long ago

I will never use this USPS office again and I hope the lack of sales eventually reflects on the Postmaster's rude attitude and way she conducts business. The Postmaster has to go. She should be transferred to an office where she can gain insight into how she takes for granted the great clientele. I have received 3 letters from the Postmaster saying I have violated the terms and conditions of media mail. Each time there is no explanation of the issue, only a general statement of a media mail violations. Of course, a bill has been attached for me to pay each time. The bill also has no explanation of the violation or which item. After the 1st notice, I proactively asked the Postmaster to inspect my media mail before sealing the envelopes and each time she refused. On 2 of those occasions, she later sent me a letter with more bills, and again, no explanation of the violation or the item at fault.

Soooo rude. Condescending. Unbelievably bad service. Especially the postmaster. I will go out of my way to avoid this place but sometimes you're in a hurry and don't have a choice. Today was that day. She acts like she's nice but she's 100 percent Dolores Umbridge.

This place is also no stars. The clerks and management is horrendous just like at the San Anselmo post office. Some of these reviews are mindblowing, Watch your back, clerks and manager;; Judy Miss liar and other management at san anselmo po are BAD NEWS, Do not set foot in or you will be sorry, They will literally attack you and spin any complaint of them doing wrong onto their paying customers, make sure you report them to the U.S. government.

I do not like to leave bad reviews, but the postmaster at this post office is super rude and unhelpful. I will not be using this post office going forward, even though it's the only one in my town. I will go to the next town just not to encounter her. Super disappointed. From the other reviews in here it seems like I am not the only one who has had a bad experience with her.

Postmaster Judy Bartlett went out of her way to correct an error made by San Anselmo post office, and Nicoletta is always very helpful whenever I go into the Fairfax office. Huge improvement to prior experiences with some previous employees, and antithesis of the San Anselmo office, which is terribly hostile and continually incompetent.

I witnessed a person being turned away from the postoffice because they didn't get in their 'order' in before 4.30 - even though the post office closes at 5pm. They have some in-house policy to only conduct certain transactions before 4.30. So if you want to get anything done here that will take time make sure you get there before 4.30. I have NEVER seen anything like that in any other post office. Usually the practice is to close the line at the last person who comes in at 5pm, and then serve each person regardless of what service they require until all the customers are helped. I find the some of the staff at this post office unhelpful and unfriendly so I've started to go to another post office with better service.

Brought in abook to mail and identified it as a book. Instead of the book rate being quoted to me, I was told the first class rate. When I objected to this, the manager came out from the back and said the agent did it correctly, that the first class rate is to be provided as well. I told her I specifically stated that it was a book. She indicated that because I didn't say I wanted to send it as a book under the book rate that what the agent did was correct and that is the way they're trained. I told her at two other local post offices that never has happened and they have been helpful and friendly and facilatory. She said "Well they did it wrong." I said how about "Customer Service" attitude and trying to help your customers. She walked away. The agent was polite and very nice. The manager does not belong in a position in which customer service is a goal. Post office should find a manger who is there to serve the public rather than a hostile suoervisor who I sense intimidates the staff.

Passport renewal requires USPS service, not FedEx or UPS. I was quite pleasantly surprised by a short wait and very pleasant, helpful service. The office is a short walk from Good Earth. Saved a trip into town to a passport office by filling out a form online, printing it, and mailing it.

Horrible customer service. They INTENTIONALLY do everything at a snails pace because they don't care about good customer service. Purchased a $600 money order. Gave them exactly $602 in cash. Lady at the counter tells me 'You have to count it in front of me'Explained to her I had already counted twice, asked her 'Don't you have to count it?" She says 'Yes, I will count it again after you count it' What planet did these people drop down from? Prime example of making such a simple transaction a headache inducer. The United States Postal Service should be ashamed of themselves for how they treat the public. Just awful

Came here to avoid bad customer service in San Rafael. While I personally got great service, I watched the customer in the next booth be spoken in a reprehensible manner for no good reason. In the end the woman behind the counter admitted fault but did not changer her tone.

They wonder why their reviews are so low! Judy, the post master, is the rudest person I have ever met. And bossy as hell to her customers. She needs a lesson in P.R. We aren't in military bootcamp anymore, and someone needs to tell her that bootcamp is over. I dread it when I have to come here, she always trys real hard and succeeds in ruining my day, every single time.
