Very disappointed in the Humboldt County Fair this year. Very few rides, 7 rides for older kids and adults. 6 rides for the little ones. 6 games and they were not good ones. Very few indoor vendors. Less food vendors. Prices are insane for such a small fair. Did not live up to past experiences.

Way too overpriced. It is $15 reg admission and there were only maybe 1/2 the exhibits, vendors, and animals. It was very sad.

Wonderful fair that takes place every year for two weeks in August. Horse Racing is incredibly popular at the fair, Besides the racing, you can enjoy the traditional stuff fairs are known for like, the fair food, livestock exhibits, amusement rides, fine arts, and horticulture exhibits, vendors, plus they've got multiple stages for a variety of performers. Be sure to pack a jacket, regardless if its sunny and warm during The day at night it tends to get very foggy and drizzly. Humboldt County fair is the Oldest in the State of California if I'm not mistaken. Throughout the year when the fair isn't underway the fairgrounds hosts a wide variety of different events due to the size of the property and its facilities

Always a great place to stop, but be prepared to be quiet early and track grass cuttings into your rv and not kid friendly, just because their really isn’t nothing for kids to do there. Dog friendly on leash only! Strict rules which dose keep the place a relaxing environment.

Had dinner there with the Rotary club. My first time there. Was pleasantly please by the number of folks attending. The lobster was so yummy and the steak melted in your mouth. I enjoyed the event and the hall.

Miss advertised opening time at 11A 11 AM. However the front gates do not open until noon.. Only parking and ticket boost start at 11. Then you have an hour to kill in the parking lot.. Now the fair manager tells me that the ticket booth should have told us that we could enter the livestock gates and get in earlier. Total miscommunication between the ticket booths And the fair manager. We left and spent no money, the fair lost hundreds of dollars.
