First visit to the Emporium yesterday (July 26, 2022) from Mount Shasta, CA. Unique is the word that comes to mind. Friendly and helpful person behind the counter. Engaged in conversation easily about the sweet little town of Ferndale and ALL the hydrangeas that bloom in almost everyone's garden. The shop couldn't stop me buying this and that, easy to spend here. Prices are what to expect in a boutique type store in a destination town. Perfect store for one-of-a-kind items. There is even a small area in the back of the store for children's items...fine items for the wee ones. Hands down, on my favorite list of stores for specialty items. Looking forward to holiday shopping as I understand the entire town goes all out for Christmas.

Love this shop. I always find a special something for someone or myself (sometimes both!). Staff is super friendly and the architecture is lovely. I always visit when I'm in Ferndale.

What a cute Victorian style store with unique items. The prices were reasonable and they carried some local gift items. The employee, maybe owner? was very friendly. I highly recommend this emporium.

A great place to find a unique gift. Lots of different merchandise and the store is charming. It's a perfect addition to main street.

This store is in my top 3 shops to visit while visiting Ferndale. I have visited Ferndale now 4 times, and each time has been a special memory. The flower mural on the ceiling of their store will take your breath away. We visited right before Christmas of 2013 and many of their products were on sale. They had a section of nightwear and body products that were 50% off. If I had not already done most of my holiday shopping already, I think I would of bought some things. Their lazy dog was in the back room near the Christmas tree. He greeted us even though he was tired. The victorian and fun gifts in here are always great to see. I hope this place keeps getting business. I love this great store.

In my last trip back home I dropped by the Emporium and I must say, I wasn't the biggest fan. This store is more than a touch too expensive. It's very much an overpriced boutique in the middle of a farm town. Almost a re-imagining of a french soap cottage. The candles are fabulous but the store with it's frou frou atmosphere is catering specifically to tourists. What I love most about Ferndale is the vast and heavy artist community here. And unfortunately the Emporium doesn't seem to host any of them. It does however, have makeup. So that's something.

I love this store! They have the best gifts. Wonderful selection of whimsical, feminine, elegant, sweet things! If you go to only one store in this town let it be the Emporium. This boutique is really special they set everything up so beautifully and the window displays are very nice. Best customer service as well. I think they will gift wrap here as well.
