Refused to answer any of my questions about the venue and wrote a rude email in response to mine without explanation. Not professional??

I went there for dinner at the restaurant. Service was excellent from our server, very attentive and pleasant. However, delivery of food items seem slow given the number of guest at the time. Food experience was mixed:Vegetables soup was excellentCesar salad: dressing was not as rich as expected, and portion was rather smallPrime rib : cooked to requirement but a bit bland on tasteHamburger ?; nothing specialBread service: ? cold, not warmed and fresh as one would expect for restaurant calibre.Price: $$$

We had a wonderful quiet night in a beautiful room. We enjoyed chatting with the friendly owners over breakfast. They even filled up our coffee thermos with no extra charge! It's so nice that this historic inn is being lovingly cared for. Easy to walk the historic main street with all its charming shops from this inn. Thanks!!!

Our stay was absolutely fantastic. They made everything so easy. They gave clear directions for late check in and even switched on the heater so our room was nice and toasty when we arrived. The staff and owner were so lovely. The rooms were clean and gorgeous. I highly recommend this lovely spot and the picturesque town of Ferndale.

Victorian DreamWelcoming and friendly staff. Great service and ambience. Lowell and Jenny were magnificent Inn keepers. Ryan was a great bar keep and makes a helluva Old Fashion. Looking forward to visiting this magical Inn and magical town again.

Late July getaway. WOW. We did not know what to expect, but it certainly wasn't THIS!From walking into the Inn to having to reluctantly depart, we felt warmly welcomed. Not only were the rooms spacious, clean, and comfy, but the STAFF was the icing on the cake. Darienne greeted us at registration as if she had been waiting just for us. She provided detailed (and accurate!) directions for sight-seeing as well as recommendations for other eateries in town. She also hosted us at the "Grab & Go" breakfast when we checked out. Jenny also greeted us at breakfast, with a smile and a send off that had us already planning our next visit the Victorian Inn-Ferndale! Restaurant menu there was varied and oh-so delicious.Thank you, to owner Lowell Daniels for a marvelous stay, and for your staff Darienne, Jenny, and waitress Alexis, for making our visit so delightfully memorable. Can't wait to come back!

This was a gem to stay in a historical inn like this one. It fits the whole theme of Ferndale which is a lovingly well maintained town along the California coast. Built in the late 1800s and well restored and maintained.. if you like a beautiful retro experience then this is highly recommended. I will make a point of returning here anytime I am driving along this stretch of coast.Rooms: Well appointed and clean. Appropriately has nice antique pieces and gives a great historical feel to your stay

What a wonderful experience for our little family of three. The owners bent over backwards to accommodate us with no extra fees or nonsense. Our only regret is that we only stayed one night. The town itself was quite sleepy, but it’s beautiful, and there is plenty within short driving distance to keep ya busy. The Victorian owners were well worth a simple drive. We thank them so much for their warm hospitality.

A lovely, and grand old Victorian! Charming details in every room, with items carefully selected from the Victorian era. Wonderful hosts and friendly staff. Excellent food in the dining room. Hopefully, staffing will be back in full swing for future stays.Nearby activities: Lots of day trips, hikes, beaches and great dining and shopping all within 10 to 45 minute easy drives. Friendly and helpful people in lovely Ferndale!
