I have bought 2 custom couches and a dining table set from Larry St. John and would highly recommend this business. Customer service is great and James recently helped me which I appreciated. The furniture is all custom with many choices of design and material. Great value and they have a cool show room with a no pressure sales process which makes it really easy.

Watch out for poor customer service. I bought a couch that turned out to have a defect, and they would not cover the cost to have it transported back to the store for repair.

I do not recommend buying custom furniture from Larry St. John. I ordered a table in February and they said I would have the table in 10-12 weeks. I've reached out regularly and they keep telling me I'll have it in two weeks. It's been 23 weeks and I still don't have it.

I first purchased a custom Sectional from Larry St John over 24 years ago. Since then I purchased custom chairs a dresser a bed and an additional couch. This will be my 3rd couch/ sectional. They are well made and extremely durable. The selection of fabrics are endless. The quality continues to supersede any other furniture for the price. Which is also very reasonable. That along with the customer service from Rene and James I will continue to purchase my furniture as well as recommend it to EVERYONE! As for now I will be ordering another bed very soon Love our sectional.

I'm sad to give this review, but I must. I purchased bedroom furniture, living room, and dining room furniture from Larry over the past 15 years. Good prices and average made furniture, but it served us well. In February of 2020, I decided to slipcover my previously made couches and chair/ottoman. I chose my fabrics (2 different kinds that coordinated nicely) and then Covid hit China. They notified me that we were out of luck as far as obtaining our fabric in a timely fashion since factories closed. They were able to get one fabric for the chair and ottoman. So I wanted to cancel the deposit for the fabric that would be held up and was told "no cancellations, no refunds." After a dispute over this, because Covid should have been an exception, we took the credit of about $600.00 credit which was from the 50% deposit. By the way, they did do a lovely job of re-slip covering my chair and ottoman. I give you that. But it's not enough to ever do business with them again. I've tried several times to see if they could make a specific item over this past year, which is what they are known for, but no was always the answer. This past Sunday, March 21, I sent a second request on an ottoman from CB2 I was hoping to have made in order to use my credit (never got back to me on the 1st request or the follow-up phone call I made pertaining to this request), I was told they don't do credits (wrong) and if they did, it expired. After reviewing our order from last February 2020 with the credit, there was nothing about it expiring. So, we disputed this by sending a copy of the invoice with the credit with no response. We gave them 48 hours to respond. Nothing. I basically, I believe they do not care about you as a customer. I've spent thousands with them over the years and this is how I'm treated? Now they won't honor funds they've sat on for 1 year, through no fault of our own. I WOULD NEVER PURCHASE FROM THEM THEM AGAIN AND FEEL IF YOU USE THEM, USE AT YOUR OWN RISK. I bought several pieces of furniture from this company. They were good. No problems so until now. The last furniture I bought is a 3 piece leather couch and the sofa companion. The couch is so straight that it makes you feel you are leaning forward and the sofa is rocky (supposed to rock) but uneven, stays always to one side. The most uncomfortable furniture I've ever been on. The samples we tried at the store were great, our finished product is not usable. I tried to contact the company several times, nobody answered and I left 4 messages by now and again, no answer. Seems like they stand behind only the good products they sell. Very. disappointed. I wrote a review before but it disappeared from Yelp!Run away now. These people should be shut down and I'm shocked they aren't yet. They took one year to get my living room furniture fixed after going round and round with James and their horrible staff and it still isn't right. They will blame it on you and your custom order but that's what they do here is custom orders so burden is on them to get it right. You will get every excuse in the book even though the plans and original photos given to them never changed. I wish I would have read all the reviews here before making the mistake to work with them, I could have saved myself so much time and headache. They are so unprofessional. Marty was the only nice person and she is gone-no surprise. I can only imagine what a horrible atmosphere it must be to work in.

My husband and I have bought many custom pieces from St. John through the years and the Redondo sofa sectional we purchased last year is wonderful! I signed up or their email list and they send the funniest emails I have ever seen! Had to share this on Yelp... my photos don't upload to Yelp, oh well, visit their website, it's on there as well.

I have been been going there for years. Not expensive and real customer service. Lots of choices. Their new showroom is much smaller so you will need to look at photos on this site and work with the staff. They have in house designers that will come to your home.

***update*** the owner Robert reached out and I thought he wanted to help us. He asked for our invoice and I emailed it to him. BUT instead of helping us, he posted the reasons why our chairs are falling apart. He's basically blaming me for buying subpar/low quality chairs FROM HIS STORE. If he cared about quality, if he cared about his store & business, if he cared about the consumer then don't you think he should care about the products he sells in his store??? And rather than blame the customer for not knowing the poor quality of the chairs, don't you think he should apologize or say something like "i've talked to the supplier" or "we no longer sell that product in store"?? He's saying basic wear and tear but we only use 2 of the 4 chairs because my kid is still in a highchair, yet ALL 4 chairs are falling apart. And he's incorrect, we've only had the chairs for 5 years (not 6) and they started to fall apart last year at year 4! Maybe he should put a sign on these chairs that says "will fall apart in 4 years". I spent $5,357 there, so if I knew they were going to fall apart, I would've spent the extra $ for better quality!!! Completely appalling. We were return customers too but we will no longer recommend or buy anything from this place. I wasn't even looking to get our money back, just a "we can help you fix the chairs" or a "bring them in so we can take a look at them" would've been nice. 100% mismanaged.

My husband and I found out about Larry St. John from our next door neighbor. They bought a custom storage bed for their guest room and it is gorgeous! So we ordered a dining table and buffet and they were able to color match them to our existing chairs. My husband decided to order two extra wood chairs in the same color and they compliment the whole set beautifully. The store has a wonderful exotic theme and the bird Johnny said hi to us when we turned the corner! Ordering was fairly easy which made my husband happy. When we are ready to furnish the living room we can send them an email to get a quote which is great!

Second review because they got the first one removed by Yelp! I came in and wasn't impressed with the quality of the sofas but considering the price of other stores I was still a maybe because I NEEDED a new sofa. I took away 8 samples and was told I had to leave a $10 refundable deposit. I returned the samples after deciding I didn't want a sofa from there and they refused to give me my $80 back. I was sooooooo annoyed I lost $80 to these rude people. They hung up on my constantly and wouldn't let me explain myself.
