Not since I was a young boy/teenager/young adult visiting my relatives in the 475-person (+/-), very, very small town of Chamois, Missouri, have I even felt remotely close to the level of hometown, highly personalized financial services that you receive everyday at the GFCU. While all of their employees are awesome, the two that I have dealt with and who have taken care of me perfectly (not an exaggeration) for years and years are Branch Manager Laura M. and VP of Operations Arpi K.! I've had to go thru three major financial reorganizations, as the result of my not staying focused on my finances as I should. Laura and Arpi have treated me like a family member each and every time, and have never made me feel poorly for the way I've handled my affairs. Their second reorganization allowed me to finally purchase a brand new 2020 Toyota Camry SE, literally just one month before Covid hit, which saved my caboose, as I'm a Type 2 Diabetic! Even though I still maintain a few accounts with one of the largest banks of the Pacific West, the STELLAR CUSTOMER SERVICE I have received from Laura and Arpi from Day 1 has been ... and will continue to be unparalled! What is so astonishing to me, is that it seems to come so naturally them ... never forced. And let me tell you, throughout my adventurous financial travels with the GFCU, I've needed a lot of "hand-holding" at times ... and not once was my hand in need not being held and guided to the calming state you feel when your whole being simply knows that only your very best interest is being protected and supported by the PHENOMENAL GFCU FAMILY!! I will forever be indebted and grateful for the entire GFCU Entity as a whole ... both the institution itself and the wonderful, family-like GFCU Team Members!! Laura and RP went above and beyond for me the last 7days .Rp joined me on a 3 hr conference call with Ford Finance to reverse charges erroneously charged to my account . She explained to Ford Finance managers the severity and hardship their automated system caused me via several over draft fees .RP held me down the whole time like a 300 Spartan Soldier .Laura followed up Rp's great service with a conference call to Penfed to clear a transaction scheduled to hit my account .Laura and I were able to prevent a huge financial catastrophe.I appreciate all the time , energy and Bespoke customer experience provided me by Laura and Rp .I'm happy to continue my banking relationship with Glendale Federal because of Laura and Rp .

When I first reached out to GFCU, I wasn't sure they would be able to help me. However, with the awesome loan staff, Jessica and others immediately contacted me with my loan agent Scott Crawford-(The Right Choice Mortgage Company). Scott was amazing including his staff. Me and my family only have great things to say about Glendale Federal Credit Union. I have been a long time member for over 35 years and had not realized how awesome my credit union was and is. Therefore, I would like to say, don't give up on GFCU, because they surely will not give up on you like the banks. Thank you again, and continue with the great work. Scott, I appreciate you.Anita

I rarely write a review, but I must for GFCU. They have been my only bank since I changed over from Bank of America, over 20 years ago. The team is friendly and professional and have an open manner of connecting with their clients. In the early years, I had to establish credit. They always provided their parameters for approving loans, so it was clear and provided direction on how to build credit over time -- leading to better and competitive rates. I highly recommend this team.

We have been putting some of it savings here at Glendale Federal; the staff is super nice and accommodating . So much better than traditional banking. Our short term CD (6months) is paying us over 4.5%!

A female who claims to be named Jessica just hung up the phone on me. If you are trying to open a new account with them and you are not an American/ Armenian citizen don't bother trying because they will never let you open an account. Lease agreements and utilities bills can be photoshopped quite easily and they don't verify anything. An original W2 printed mailed from the employer as well as paystubs that have on each side a tear in order to be opened and are printed on special paper are impossible to recreate and fake but this bank doesn't care because they will find any excuse to discriminate against your national origin.

Friendly staff but they are very picky with auto loans, prepare to have 50% of your income freed up and a huge down payment. Logix or any regular bank are better options
