I have lived at the Brand for just over 2 years now and couldn't be happier. The staff has always been incredibly generous and accommodating to my needs. I am incredibly happy with my apartment and maintenance has always been incredibly fast to act if there were any issues that needed to be fixed. The Brand is also in a perfect location in Downtown Glendale, and I've been able to walk to restaurants and stores without issue. I have felt very safe and secure in this building for the last two years and don't see myself leaving anytime soon.

I have been living here with my girlfriend and 2 dogs for a few years now. It has been an amazing living experience! The staff especially leasing staff is always so kind and helpful. The building is dog friendly and the rooftop views are beautiful!

My boyfriend and I love living here. Our two dogs are very welcome here, the space is clean and safe. Maintenance fixes everything within 24 hours of putting in a request. There is a great gym on premises, laundry in unit, assigned parking on the basement levels. Best of all, living in downtown Glendale has been a real dream!

Live here if you want to be waked up at 8am by the noise of maintenance on a holiday.

Adia was really responsive and helped us with all the questions before the move in date. Brittany helped me a lot on the moving day where moving truck couldn't figure out where to park their truck. She walked out all the way to show them where to park.
Maintenance guys and Security guy are both really responsive as well. Overall I really like this place.

They've asked three times in email to leave this review although I've barely lived here a week, so I guess they really want it... I'd say overall, for the price, it's been a below-average experience. The floor I'm on always smells weird, even after they clean it, the master vent fan doesn't shut off, and although I've submitted a work order, no one has come to address it, the gym is OK, but basic things like replacing the worn out water filter and broken gym equipment goes unattended. The pool is a wading pool, at best, and the hot tub is probably 2-3 persons max. You have just 72 hours upon accepting the keys to complete the move-in inspection or they file a blank one on your behalf that you have to sign upon accepting the keys, and although I am renting a two-bedroom (for the space) because I am the only person on the lease, I get just one set of keys. That's just silly. The move-in process is exhausting because there is no freight elevator so you have to use the same one as all the tenants, and where they expect you to park to unload ends up being about a 100 yard hike, down a steep garage ramp and through a parking structure where idiots drive like its a Nascar circuit track, just to get to the doors to the building. I had one box stolen during my move-in, so all in all, this has been an unappealing experience, thus far. I'll update, should anything change, but I don't expect it to.

Adia and Brittany from the Holland Group are very responsive throughout the application and moving in process. They also value you greatly as a resident, addressing any of your requests promptly whenever you walk in to their on-site office, call, or email. Apartment has modern finish and very spacious at an affordable price as compared to other apartments complexes I viewed in Downtown Glendale

Horrible architecture. Stop building apartment buildings which look like post war communistic russian apartments. Truly ugly. These architects must have graduated lowest in their class without drawing skills only knowing hiw to press one button on CAD

Adia & Misty are the best. They've made my transition from moving out of state stellar. If you happen to look into moving into The Brand, make sure you ask for them. They're very informative, quick with responses & will make sure you're taken care of with white glove service.

Great and welcoming staff, nice amenities, good maintenance team, and good apartments/location. Adia is super helpful in getting moved in
Edit after living there nearly a year: Maintenance is terrible and there is constantly something wrong with the building that impedes on your daily life. Half the time the hallways reek from some sewage line that doesn't work well. Once, they had to shut down power to the entire building for three days. The hallways were pitch black, and were there rent rebates for this? No, just donuts...
Almost none of the amenities function well. All of the TV's in the lounges either have graphics issues, don't connect via hdmi, or just don't turn on. The fire pit on the rooftop is almost always out of gas and the knob to start it is was broken for at least as long as I lived there. The dog relief areas on the roofs constantly reek of not having any sort of sprinker or drainage system to rinse them off.
Security is lackluster at best. The callbox almost never works so forget letting in guests or deliveries from your unit. Half the time the front door is broken and open to the public. The whole time the garage door is busted and open to anyone who walks in from the garage.
The cherry on top? I was laid off just a couple months before the end of my lease. The front office assured me that if I move out one month early, they could rent the apartment to someone else because there was a high demand for my unit, and I would not have to pay for that month. Here I am, three months later, with a bill for that month. I could have stayed in my home another month for the same price. Am I bitter about it in this moment? Yes. Is everything in this edit my true observations? Also yes.
Keep looking if you haven't signed a lease yet. And good luck if you're reading this after already having signed a lease.
ps. don't bother cleaning or patching holes and painting upon move out. Unless you get a professional service yourself, they charge you for all of that regardless of how well you do it yourself. Holland Residential is the management company and they're nothing but greedy.

I would like to say thank you to the administration of The Brand complex. We lived in this house for a whole year and the emotions were mostly positive. But let me be a little more specific.
Pros: good walls of the house, audibility is not very strong; gym, swimming pool, well-groomed area. Of course, I would include administrators as a plus. Rest assured, Daniela, Adia and Misty will always help. Very responsive women.
Of the minuses: high price of apartments; neighbors who smoke the same plant and are often noisy. But a call to security usually solved the problem.
We had different situations this year, but overall it was a good time. Thanks to The Brand team!
