Will not recommend this company. They charged my debit card and took the money went to the rental spot to pick it up and they refused to give me the card. They started I needed a credit card. Why would I need a credit card when you already charged me for the full rental. Now they are not refunded me my money right away. The charge and the cancellation happen within 1 hour. The staff on site is not to blame the guy there was nice he was getting the car ready for me. The policy is horrible. How you going to charge my debit and take my money just to tell me you need a credit card. I really hope o get my money.

Would give this location negative stars if I could. When I showed up to pick up my rental car today, they had exactly 2 automobiles available. Neither was in the category I asked for. I did not want an “upgrade” to a giant, gas,-guzzling SUV, nor did I want a giant pick-up truck. I ended up with the SUV, which had a faulty ignition. The guy said there was nothing he could do about it, and that if I wanted to, I could exchange it at the airport Avis. Great idea! I would love to waste another hour and a half of my time because this business couldn’t be bothered to honor the reservation for vehicle I chose. Look, if you don’t have the inventory, don’t accept the reservation. Also, it would be a great idea to maintain the few vehicles that you do have in working condition. And one more thing: maybe next time you could clean the snot off the dashboard? I ended up with a disgusting, malfunctioning car that I’m going to have to spend time I don’t have exchanging in another Avis location. I rent from Avis a LOT and this is the first negative experience I’ve had in years. Next time I will definitely pay the extra money and rent at the airport. Anything is better than this nasty little neighborhood dive with the worst customer service ever.

I rented a car from this store we paid for a week in full but Unfortunately I was treated in the worst manner ever with no help or customer service. We had arrived late to pick our car as it was a Sunday and no call or text was sent to us to explain the store will close at 2 or why we didn’t pick the car. We had arrived late due to our late flight. We therefore called the company and left a note that we will pick the car the next day. When we arrived the next day we were told the car we booked was rented to someone else, no note was left on the system and when we asked what can be done, I have three kids and baby we were told to leave the store in the heat. When we asked to speak to manager we were told he is on his day off and not to be disturbed. We were shouted at not even offered any solutions and told to go to los Angelous airport and hour away to pick a car. It was sick! We had to ring our self to check another branch close by which was only 4.7 miles away and they had a car for us which we went to same day and picked up a car. The service was amazing and were even given a brand new car. This branch is very impolite and we are sure our car was not given to us so it can be rented at a higher price since we booked much earlier in the year. My baby was crying and not one time we were given any comfort. I don’t recommending using this store . Any other store would provide a much better and professional service but not this store . Please be very careful dealing with this store if you have too.

I want to express my sincere gratitude to Sergio and his amazing crew at the (19092)Beach Blvd HB location for the outstanding service they provided. Sergio went above and beyond when he noticed that I accidentally made a double reservation for the same car. He promptly resolved the issue without imposing any cancellation charges.I must also commend the exceptional quality of the cars available at this location. They were in excellent condition and met all my expectations.Their attention to detail, willingness to assist, and commitment to customer satisfaction truly set them apart from other local rental car companies. I highly recommend the (19092)Beach Blvd location for anyone in need of reliable and top-notch car rental service. Thank you once again, Sergio, for going the extra mile!

Reserved a 1-way rental for a mini-van at beginning of Apr 2023 for pickup late April and drop-off in Texas. Reservation/quoted price was $979. Picked up Toyota Sienna on 24Apr; discovered that 1 tire was completely bald and making noises. Called Avis HB; Rep told me that if tire blows I can call roadside assistance! Seriously?!! How can you issue a dangerous vehicle to a customer?I asked for a replacement vehicle; was directed to Avis John Wayne Airport. Took vehicle there for replacement; spent more than an hour while the reps there tried to figure out how to exchange a vehicle; extremely incompetent and inefficient. Finally got a replacement mini-van (Chrysler T&C). Turned in vehicle in Texas as agreed. Discovered additional $240 charge on my credit card from Avis. Now fighting with Avis to get overcharge reversed. Horrible customer service.

They are open on Sunday, which is good. However the man that was there is unhappy. Points to an outside restaurant when asking about restroom, just bland, kind of a j**** Place inside is a dump, dirty floors, old carpet, plastic chairs. Maybe a good thing I couldn't use restroom.The car was less than two gallons and he asked me to put gas in. Next time- Hertz

I used Costco travel to reserve a car. The location was less than a mile from where I was staying. Check out was fast as it was an early morning pickup. I reserved a small economical car and the Corolla was clean and good on gas. No issues with staff. Please make sure you look at vehicle noting any damage even minor. There were rock chips and I opened the trunk to find paint damage but I made him note it. Check in was easier. Fast and efficient.

This is the same listing for Budget. The owners are nice folks. But damn!!! The Latino heavy set employee name Fernando is truly a demonstration of an individual who should not work in customer service. Day 1 when I picked up the car his energy was stankDay 3 when I first drove in highway the Nissan Sentra he put me in which was not car I reserved started making strange loud noise. I got so scared driving back home I was forced to drive 40mph. Then when I called to tell Fernando what happened of course attitude back. Then he blows up at me because I didn't fill the quarter tank to exact amount. Perhaps I was few dollars short. Considering I was put in dangerous situation I would of hoped for some compassion. He got verbally aggressive with me and canceled my 1 month rental contract. I had to walk back home. Please fire this terrible demonstration of good customer service. I will be telling everyone not to rent from car place if Fernando continues to be employed here. Please go to Enterprise down the street. You pay a bit more but you get what you pay for. Avis/Budget ... Hell no!
