I had a really unpleasant experience today at this store. Let me preface this by saying I have pretty serious anxiety, which is made worse when I have to be in social situations without someone I'm comfortable with with me. I went to this store today alone and was purchasing 3 items. They weren't big items, but to get them to the register, I did have to carry one under my arm. While I was paying, the cashier asked if I would like a bag. As I started to think about it and said "ummm" I was cutoff by the bagger who threw his head back and said "NO". The bagger next to him laughed. I was confused and looked at the cashier and she gave me a very condescending face and also said "no". I hadn't even decided whether I wanted a bag or not at this point. I more than likely might have said no. But this whole interaction really threw me and my anxiety peaked. I told them no, I didn't need a bag because I didn't really have a choice at that point. The cashier then again gave me a condescending look as she nodded and handed me my receipt. I was shaking when grabbing my items and shoving one under my shoulder in order to carry it to my car. This is really not about the bag or no bag. I have worked in customer service for over a decade. This is beyond anything I've ever experienced. I legitimately do not want to go back to this store.

The person sacking my groceries was clearly sick with a nasty 'crunchy' cough that she couldn't control while her decorative mask hung on her chin. It was obvious yet mgmt didn't care enough to send her home. And when I emailed Vons about it twice, no response. Disappointing that Vons is so willfully blind about its customers' and employees' health. I prefer doing business with brick/mortar folks but unfortunately, I'll be using Amazon grocery delivery rather than Vons at this point.Edit: "Dawn M." of Vons posted that she is "concerned" about this and to contact them, but conveniently ignores that I wrote in the review that I tried twice to contact them and got crickets. Her followup is clearly insincere given that I got no response until I posted a review. Again, Vons doesn't care about compromising its customers' and employees' health, but only wants to make you think it does by expressing "concern" with their cut-and-paste responses.

I don't understand why people bring their dogs into a grocery store. I just saw a big Shepard scratching every time his owner stopped and the employees do nothing about it, even when it's not a service or support animal.Google review shows this has been happening for a while at this same location.

First of all, this is probably the closest Vons to my house nearly four miles away in Fountain Valley. While there are other stores much closer to us, we like shopping here as we appreciate how clean the store is, how well stocked they keep it, but most of all, just how courteus and professional they are. I was in fact just at Vons Huntington Beach this morning (Saturday, July 2nd) to shop for some items for my wife. We had both just downloaded the Vons app earlier this morning and found a number of featured items on sale on which they were only offering on sale via the app. I found all the items I had come in to buy and went into the checkstand being run by a lovely lady named Jennie S. She quickly realized that I had just downloaded the app but was otherwise lost. And while she could have easily sent me on my way to avoid dealing with what was certain to reveal that I did not know the proper protocol for using the app as intended, she instead took the high road and walked me through the process and even patiently went through my order again to ensure I had all the discounts ti which I was entitled. Being a Saturday, the store was getting quite busy and I am certain that a few customers steered clear of that checkstand as she was clearly helping me. I certainly hope that the senior mangement of Vons on Atlanta Ave. and Magnolia Street in Huntington Beach will have the opportunity to read this review and I hope even more that they appreciate the importance of their courteous and highly professional employees such as Jennie S. Keith T.

I was very pleased with Camden's (Bakery Department) helpful accommodations today by placing a very special Tres Leches cake on hold for a friend's graduation. Great customer service and I hope management see's this comment because she is an asset.

Bakery workers are rude. Never encountered such rudeness. I was looking for cupcakes without Happy Birthday on them asked the lady working she looked at me like I was crazy and said really snotty that's the only way we make them. So you have to have a birthday to get cupcakes at Vons. What a strange thing. I'm 63 and never only had the option for birthday cupcakes anywhere but there. And the attitude. Will never go to that store again for anything.

The reviews dont lie! They really do have the best florists in this store.my husband and I came in this morning and had a bouquet made on the spot. Maria was so kind and friendly. And did a quick and awesome job my mother in law loved her bouquet! This vons will definitely be my go to for flowers now!

Arrived home recently following dropping close to $200.00 on Christmas groceries. My caregiver placed some trash in a bag into the trash can in front of the store. A person wearing a long orange rain coat, tall with gray hair, who collects shopping carts outside - approached her and said "why are you filling up MY trashcan!" and then aggressively stood his ground in front of the trash like he was defending a fort. He then walked quickly into the store as he saw me trying to take a photo of him with my phone. There are MANY grocery stores in this city, most more convenient than this store. I spoke to a supervisor over the telephone who said they'd have a chat with them. Apparently this person does not wish to do his job emptying the trash anymore, and has come to believe that the store's property belongs to him. I've been through a lot in my life - I will NEVER shop there again - I do NOT NEED this in my life. Be careful if you shop there.

We are so happy that this Vons is our local grocery store! From the manager who truly goes above and beyond to Maria in the floral department who is incredibly friendly, helpful and efficient we are so grateful. It is nice to know we can always go there to find what we need quickly from fresh produce to even holiday decor!

This long term Vons customer is disappointed. Being unemployed and buying groceries on a strict budget, I love that Vons has programs that allow us to buy at a slight discount to save a few bucks. But not today. I bought 5 items on the "Buy 5" program and noticed when I got home i hadn't received the correct pricing. So I drove all the way back to the store and asked the person at the customer service desk, and she found that some chips I bought were not on the program this week. We walked back to that aisle and I showed her where I got them from, and there was the correct tag at the spot, and she said they were not part of the program. Looks to me like someone stocked some chips in the wrong place and I bought a bag, thinking they were part of the "Buy 5" program. I ended up paying full price for all 5 items. Not helpful at all. Did the customer service person offer to comp me anything? Nope. Very disappointing. I guess I will have to run future Buy 5 items separately to make sure things are stocked by Vons employees correctly and i get the program pricing.

This floral department is amazing! Brooke and Laura just did more than 20 arrangements for me for a bridal shower. I went to them about 6 weeks prior to talk about what I wanted, they helped me with the design, and then called me about a week before to have me bring in all my jars and vases that I already had and wanted to use. The day before the event, they went to work, texting me photos to make sure I was happy with what they were creating. Boy, was I. My guests kept asking who my florist was and I was so happy to tell them it was Von's! Thank you Brooke and Laura for making an already special event so incredibly beautiful. Really appreciate you and your hard work! Great customer service too!

I usually love it here, but are they trying to get us to stop curbside pick up? I didn't check what I got because they have always been so great. Well, my mistake. Fruit and vegetables were not in their own bags, so my peaches were all scratched up from being packed with boxes. Two frozen boxes were crushed. The crackers were actually in a completely open box that must have been emptied and refilled because it was busting from the sides and half filled vertically. (thank god they were wrapped inside the box and not loose). WTF? It would be one star if my only time going. The second star is for the nostalgia for the Vons I once knew.

I have never been insulted in my life! I was just at Vons getting a few items. The young male checker that checked me out called me "sir." WTH?! I'm a female. I was born a female and still a female. I am not a non-binary person. I am not a trans person. I am a female. I will never shop here or any other Vons again.
