No tellers to service customers. Branch manager states that they don't have the ability to accept deposits or payments without a teller. So not one person in the banks either knows how to help, is willing to, or ??? Irresponsible at best.

I went to the branch today to unlock my account. I locked this account in another branch in August. I explained it to the teller. She was very dismissive and only gave me a toll free number to call to unlock it. I asked her if she can help me in that. She said no I need to provide a lot of information on the phone..When later on I called the number, they told me they are not able to unlock and I have to go to the branch to do it. I hope the clerk in this bank get some training to not causes waiting the costume time.

I got the wrong information from employee Genie Sui, which resulted in me having to pay a hefty fine for my CDS account. When I asked her in front of the manager, she lied and said she didn't remember. The manager Deovi Eduad favored her staff in the conversation passed the blame to me and asked some Ridiculous questions to me. When I asked to submit a complaint the manager Deovi Eduad submitted it in her favour. When I received the complaint investigation call, it was not from Citibank's investigation department but from another local Citi employee. He hung up the phone without me finishing my speech and closed the case. This is how Citi trains its employees. I will also submit my complaint to BBB and all other complaint websites.

Walked in to cash a cashier check issued by Citibank… was refused service to cash the check. Trying to force me to open an account to cash a check. Note that this is not a standard check but a official cashier check so the funds were already pulled and issued to the bank so it’s essentially the same as cashService was nonexistent maricel Jones and marwan abuhadhound have zero sense of customer service.

This bank sucks. They will only cash Citibank checks for "non members" at 3 locations in OC. They wouldn't even sign me up to be a customer to deposit my $10k check. I'm running around town to cash it as this location and the entire operation is garbage. Poor service and poor rules.

This has got to be THE ABSOLUTE WORST bank in Irvine. I've never been able to get an issue resolved here and I've been a Citibank customer for years. God for it you need anything here --there's only one bank teller so don't ever come in a time crunch. Worst place to do banking!!!

I went to citI bank in Irvine, corner of barranca and culverThe teller was very rude. There was a huge line, people standing in line but the tellers would help those Chinese women who were not in line at all. Finally I had to say something....I stood there for 30 minutes but they were helping those who didn't stand in line at all.I will make an official complaint about this issue to their supervisors....I have never experienced anything like this in any U.S. bank. the tellers are very rude and unprofessional..

Frank advice to bank manager:Reward your staff when they do the actual job. Otherwise it is same for them doing someones job or waiting there. In that case instead of refusing to open an account for me, they may have some motivation to do it. Do it fast. I will never understand how 1 hour 40 minutes is not enough to open an account

Beware Investment Advisors at Citi. Last Dec 2021, citi branch setup my mom to get investment advise. Advisor Anna persuade my mom to invest all her svgs into a Franklin municipal bond fund. Less than 1 mos, the fund dropped over $5k, and by 5th mos, it dropped $16k more than 11%. Noted my mom is 81 yrs old, do not speak English, and has NO grammar school, not any investment background. I filed a compliant to Citi investigation team. What it came back was she was in suitable investment because her tolerance level is "moderate", and investment knowledge is "moderate". How on earth does a 81 yrs old widow evaluated as "moderate" risk + experienced investor? Then I find out the decision of "suitable fit" was based on "new acct form" she signed. Anna asked my mom signed an open account form (in English), computer-typed by her, ck box "moderate" investment exp, and moderate risk. So my mom never knew what she signed, but was told in chinese that it was an open account form.I was present, and I did asked "shouldn't we wait until next year because Fed is increasing rate, and wouldn't this bond fund goes down?" Anna replied, she followed this fund over 20yrs, and it is very safe and will go back up eventually if it goes down one year. So far, my mom has lost $16,000 over 11% in this fund within 6 mos. And I later find out citi advisors receives commission from clients and being year-end, advisors must be desperate to meet quotas. Also, Please be aware there is no such thing as "Compliant dept" because there is no person's name who email you nor contact phone no. (Only they can talk justify they're right, but you can never talk to anyone! ) When you call and file a compliant, they take your compliant and after 1-mo reply your email with some ridiculous excuses that your investment is right fit, it is just your bad luck investing on the market. BE AWARE OF THE AGENT, "ANNA L"She service Arcadia, Irvine, SG valley. I had to trace her 3 branches to find her#.

I’ve been to many Citibank branches, and can say that this one is at the top of my list for service. The staff are very professional, informative, and considerate. Great experiences.

Yesterday I went to this branch to deposit 2 checks because the app did not work properly. I waited about 15 minutes with several other people. There were only 2 tellers. Both had customers who needed a lot of attention. They just ignored the ever accumulating line of customers like me who had simple transactions and wanted to get on with their daily business. After awhile a woman spoke up and asked for another teller. At that point the Manager came over and threatened her by saying that he could not allow her to raise her voice in "his branch." He told her to be quiet and wait her turn. I'd never go back to this branch. Go to Tustin Ranch. It's much better!!
