Delphine (if i spelled her name right) helped me with my passport today. She was very nice and made sure that I understand the entire process. Make sure that you have an appointment with them, as very little USPS post offices do walk-ins anymore. I am not sure why many people have problems with their service, the workplace there seem very friendly. When I was there, there were two lines. In the far left, Delphine was helping folks with a passport appointment. And usually there's a few people in the back working on parcels. But if you need service, make sure to ring the bell in the middle so that you can be seen.Regarding my passport experience, make sure you have all the required paperwork. Allow me to say this rashly that this is not a daycare, so please do your due diligence in filling out your parts carefully. All the required paperwork you need to bring is written on the DS-11 form. I've brought in my DS-11 (new passport application), passport photo, original birth certificate, birth certificate photo copy, and front and back copy of my drivers license. If you have not photo copied them, don't worry, they can offer to do it for you. They do accept cash (no exact change necessary), and visa debit card through money order. On that note, if you don't live in the area be aware that your debit card company may decline the transaction to avoid potential fraud. Delphine said that's what probably happened to me. So, I'd recommend bringing cash. After 4 weeks, Delphine said you can check the status of the passport online. Also if you don't have a passport photo, Delphine will point you to a shop that can take one for you nearby.I probably won't come back here, mostly because I don't live in the area. But, I hope Delphine gets all the opportunities she deserves!

Just horrible! I'm so frustrated that they can't deliver packages to your house, because good luck getting your package if they have to hold it!! You'll most likely not ever see your package. It's usually lost. If ordering from Amazon, I suggest using the Amazon Hub

The ONLY reason I am giving this post office one star is that I cannot give it less... Routinely we get skipped if the mail includes a package... To try to get information from the \\\"postmaster\\\" is an exercise in frustration... Most of the time, they refuse to answer the phone even during \\\"business\\\" hours... There's a very good reason that I have thought for the last few years that the Jackson pos office is where USPS sends its worst manager just to wait out retirement... Too much work to fire her..m

I love this post office! A great staff that have to deal with a lot of bureaucratic elements as best they can. A lot of the frustrations that people have are more systemwide due to the kneecapping of postal services by the previous administration during election sabotage. Don't blame the nice folks at the PO for doing the best they can!

We have 2 small post Box stands and 3 of the large mailboxes for large items. Since March of 2021 one large box has a key broken off in the lock and one has the locking mechanism gutted. Therefore most allow are packages left at Jackson Post office.. It would be nice if the Post Office could find time to fix this issue. One more month will be a year.

Horrible! Horrible! Horrible post office. I'm going to provide review for this post office located in Jacson, but I will also review the other two locations, Sutter Creek and Amador City, to give everyone a heads-up of what to expect from these post offices. This Jackson post office is by far the worse ever I've been to. The gray haired, with glasses, guy close to his seventies, I think, looks at your skin color and decides what kind of service to provide. Racist!!! You speak clear simple English to him telling him what service you want, he tells you something else and then said, "Oh! Language barrier!" What a racist A$$h01e!!! He served White folks very well, but if you're not White, you need to stand in line again after you were told to fill out certain forms. That's how racist he is! Then when you're at the Sutter Creek post office, if you don't wear a mask, they literally won't serve you and tell you to get out! The post office at Amador City has a sign about mask requirements but the guy behind the counter isn't rude to not serve you or kick you out. Then you have that Jackson post office where no signs about masks are required. Why the inconsistency when y'all work for the same federal government?!!! Maybe the Sutter Creek post office folks should be EDUCATED and WOKEN UP regarding the TRUTH about covid, the vaccines, masks, and swab tests. When you're AWAKE, then you will KNOW the TRUTH about what the vaccines can REALLY do to your health. WAKE UP Sutter Creek and don't be such a pain if people decide not to wear masks! It's their rights! Sad that y'all have decided to give up freedom and your very own rights to the government, CDC, big pharma! And STOP being RACIST you people at the Jackson post office. This is a free country and you think it's okay to treat people of different skin color differently? Well, you're damned WRONG! And Amador City postmaster, you're the best despite your small location! Kudos to you for treating everyone well and the same despite their differences, and whether they wear masks or not. THANK YOU for being YOU and for all that you do!

If you're not gonna deliver a package, at least pick up the phone so we can figure out where it is.

I have been waiting for over an hour for a passport appointment we made. There appears to be no regard for appointment time as the lady continues to put packages away in the back. The man up front makes rude comments to customers. Okay

I was waiting for my package to arrive and the carrier went straight to the mailbox and left the slip inside. Did not even check to see if someone was home.

I've been feeling frustrated with the lack of communication. I live off Climax Rd and whoever delivers my mail hasn't left a package delivery slip my last 4 packages! So I wait and wait not knowing where my deliveries are. Also, as a community mail box, we constantly get each others mail, which is VERY disconcerting. Putting my mail in somebody else's box...very frustrated.
