Caitlin Wong is a very different educator. She has extensive teaching experience in LA-area public schools, and decided to open this new after-school option after identifying a need in the community. My child attends a very good GUSD school, but I wanted her to experience a progressive alternative to GUSD's very academic approach. Ms. Wong stresses understanding of the Common Core curriculum concepts, but in a very relaxed learning environment in small classes. She is kind and patient with the kids, while encouraging them to do their best. My daughter loves Ms. Wong, and she has some really fun project-oriented classes on holidays (e.g., pillow making that stresses geometry skills) and summer camps (e.g., outdoor learning at Descanso Gardens). Most importantly is that you get frequent, informal feedback on how your child is doing.

Caitlin is innovative, kind and gem of a find in a very traditional system of education. lovely to find the type of "out of box" thinking she uses to engage children in real learning, and to have them be excited about exploring the art of writing. Thank you !
