The wait to pick up a prescription is always outrageous! The drive-thru is the worst. Even if you are the only car waiting, it can take 20 minutes. For years, nothing has improved. If you want to pick up a prescription at LaPalma Walgreens, bring water & a good book, you are going to be there a while.

DO NOT BUY gift cards from here. There is NO return or exchanges and they don't know how to activate them properly when they sell them. So you get screwed at the end for your money because neither them or the company will do anything about it to give you your money back or at least activate it properly.

I am a paying customer and an employee refused to allow me to use the restroom. I was told they where for employees only. Yet there was not a sign to show this. This is the only Walgreens I have experience this issue with.

Poor poor poor customer service!!! Nicole has no common sense whatsoever. Employees like her validate the reason why I choose to go to CVS or Rite-Aid which are a lot farther from my place than any Walgreens store, specially this one in La Palma. On the positive side, Candy the manager was understanding and apologetic and agreed with my position as a customer. Either they retrain Nicole on customer service or just assign her where there's no customer interaction. Better yet, to save yourself from grief, just go to CVS or Rite-Aid where they know and they practice good customer service. I won't be surprised if this closes down in the near future, just like a lot of closed Walgreens locations. You don't see closed CVS and Rite-Aid locations do you?

Zero stars. Went up to a cashier with no line for a pick up and she took her sweet time from her reading to ask me what I needed. You're at work, not leisure reading time. I told her I need to pick up my order from the Walgreens app then she proceeded to ask me a long list of what vendor I am, FedEx/UPS/Postmates etc. I told her I am not even in those uniform I just ordered on my app personally and I want to pick up my order as the app told me to. She kept going with the long list of orders of who I am Uber, lyft etc with a really bad and confrontational attitude. I then asked for the manager and the assistant manager Jacob came and said oh so asking for clarification is making it difficult? He then informed me Walgreens is different from the other retailers that they work with all those pick up apps. So you're telling me only Walgreens works with Uber/UPS and so forth? Horrible horrible experience.

Hubby and I went to Walgreens after our Costco run to pick up prescription. We decide let's go inside and get our Flu shots. OH good no one is in line, this shouldn't take too long. Someone comes, I'm pretty sure was the manager. She comes and gets info from us both and asks us to have a seat while she gets paperwork together. Well, 20 minutes later I look through door window and OOPS she comes through door and apologizes, "Sorry I dropped the ball"! She gives us paperwork and again we wait and wait. Finally after another 20 min my husband takes the paperwork up front and my husband ask how much longer. She replies, it's going to take some time because the pharmacist has to give the shot. We then tell them never mind and we leave. We had food in the car and we weren't going to wait any longer. It was very frustrating to walk in and have no one in line, we were the ONLY customer in line! Then to be asked to be seated and I'm pretty sure forgotten about. POOR POOR customer service! Thinking of changing Pharmacies! Also, by reading the reviews, I'm not the only one that has complained about poor customer service at this Walgreens Pharmacy!

Walgreens has a couple brands of makeup I like that isn't readily available at some stores. I bought a very nice Soap and Glory gift combo at another Walgreens recently and I was under the impression that all Walgreen stores carried the same inventory. Not at this location. Their inventory is very limited to the very basics. And I mean not just in make-up but I found that all aisles were low on certain items, brands. Even the grocery aisle was low on certain items. The skin care aisle was the one that had the most in limited items, only a few basic brands which was kind of sad. I use a lot of skincare items and was surprised to see their was so little compared to the Artesia location. No Soap and Glory either :( The staff was friendly and the store itself was clean and organized. I just wish there was more items like at other locations.

Most of these reviews about the wait time is unfair to the pharmacy staff. They are overwhelmed and could perhaps have another person working there. I've had extremely long waits but it's not because the staff is just hanging out. They are multitasking with great accuracy. Some customers keep asking the same question and after the 5th time accept that they are not getting what they want. I love Katrina and Jenny. When they are working I know I will get great service. Katrina has come from behind the counter to help me select what I needed when I was sick to I could get home faster and rest. These are amazing professionals who are doing the best they can in a demanding environment. ..all while being polite, responsive and providing great service. Keep this in mind the next time you have a long wait. Think how much time you personally take up. It's a wait and I've even left the drive through but I still go back because Katrina and Jenny are rockstars.

All negative reviews are true, wait time at this location is horrible. This is the closest location to my home so I usually am okay. Part of the reasons for long wait is their pharmacists take their time to go over medicine with their patients. Just today, after long hold on the phone, I was able to talk to the pharmacist Jenny, she took extra effort dealing with my insurance and got things straightened out. Went over medicine usage and answered my questions patiently and professionally. I greatly appreciate her help! I do hope Walgreens can hire more pharmacists like Jenny so they can improve wait time without sacrificing professionalism.

Avoid this pharmacy at all costs. Waited terribly long in the drive thru line. Finally I receive a text that my prescription is delayed. Went inside as to not hold up the drive thru line. Noticed I missed a call and called them back, was put on hold for a long, long time while standing in an even longer pharmacy line. After holding for so long, my call was disconnected. The pharmacy then had the audacity to say they tried calling - well I tried calling back but you guys put me on hold then disconnected. I waited over half an hour for them to tell me they will contact my doctor's office tomorrow

the wait is reasonable considering they are a busy pharmacy. the staff is very friendly and helpful, one could do much worse somewhere else. i will gladly recommend this location without a doubt.

Ok well, I read the other reviews here and I have to say that I don't agree with all of them. Yes. The pharmacy is always slammed but in my experience the customer service there is good. You may have to wait but tell me how many pharmacies where you DON'T have a wait. Target? Walmart? CVS? Nope. Don't go at busy times of the day unless you have to. Use the drive-thru and put a CD in, sit back and just relax! The store clerks are AWESOME. Super friendly! Super helpful! Super service! I come into this store a LOT and have never received horrible service, I had one single problem. I needed to use their phone because my BFF (LAURA!!!) left me there one day. She had received a call, couldn't locate me but she had to leave immediately. Anyway, I asked to use the phone and was told I couldn't as it was against their policy. It probably is! The gentleman I had asked was new, I had never seen him there before. He had no way of knowing that I frequent this store. After a little bit of a very frustrating conversation, he did let me use HIS cell phone. I did their customer service satisfaction survey and low and behold! He was VERY helpful the next time I came in and every time thereafter. Nice recovery! Good job! You know those surveys are being read and that action is being taken. They didn't HAVE to do this. I'm pretty darn sure they discourage people from using the store phone as their own personal phone booth. Thank you employees of Walgreens in La Palma! See you tomorrow.

If I could give 0 stars I would. Been in prescription line (with my mom) to just pick up her meds for 30 minutes!!! Only 2 cars in front of me and nobody's moving. My mom says this is typical and she once waited 45 minutes to pick up meds. what the hell is so complicated about dropping off or picking up a prescription!?!? Such a waste of time. Horrible horrible service and so frustrating. Go to Target people! In and out in 5 minutes every time! Update. Been at window for over 5 minutes now and nobody to help us. It's a ghost town in there. Haven't seen a single person and no idea when they'll be able to help us!!!
