I grew up in this town and AL has, thankfully, been around forever! Always friendly, clean and great items to find! It's a treat that they have a "high end/designer" section where you can really find some goodies! They also put so much energy into restocking the store for every holiday. Need a Christmas or Hanukkah decoration or gift? They have it in time. Thanksgiving? Dishes, placemats etc all for the season. Halloween..it's a must! It's ongoing.The other part I really appreciate is the organized drop off of items donated. I donate throughout the year. There are designated days and times. Easy to pull up and park in the back lot, be greeted by the staff, they take care of you immediately and offer you a receipt for a tax write off if you wish. AL is so different from many of the disappearing Thrift Shops. It is deeply cared for by the residents of Laguna, (hey, it can become a gab fest with old friends you run into) and also by the VOLUNTEERS who donate their time to keep it thriving. Thank you AL !

Every time I visit this gem I find fantastic deals. The shop is clean and very well set up. The upstairs boutique carries high end items and I found designer jeans for $15 that were $200 a few months ago at Nordstrom.

my first experience at the store consisted of my friends and i being followed around by one employee which made me uncomfortable because during that time, we were the only people of color in the store so we were already receiving a bunch of stares. she would stand in front of the fitting room door that my friend was in to make sure we weren't stealing. it was very obvious because there wasn't any personal space whatsoever. once we went in line to pay, she left us alone and acted like nothing happened. it was rude, unprofessional, and very prejudiced towards us. all of the employees are elderly white woman who are passive aggressive. if you're not white, you're most likely going to be watched and followed. please stop being racist, treat all your customers equally, and understand boundaries.

we go there often, from time to time you will find good items very cheap. But recently I have noticed the price of the used items is almost the same as new items. In this situation I rather buy new.

Proceeds go to local assistance programs., mostly vetran - noone salaried and they own the block. Recently (1 year) much higher prices over what were already premium prices for high quality used merchandise. So.... no real need to sift through low quality, out of date and style items (except the shoes yuk-but low priced). Easy displays in the round unlike salvation army, and clothes are clean. At a big price but still on par with ebay auctions boutique has the local (i.e. laguna) English and Italian shirts, and numerous leather goods. I bought a Porsche Design white leather jacket I had seen at PD South coast retail 1750 my price $30. So Im headed there today., but not to many hopes of a "find", but then I have the money and willingnes and desire to find Ebay auction deals without the $25 shipping yikes!! Oh yes the locals are all there. Happy shopping!

Visiting the land of the super rich one has to check out the thrift!Summertime you hit the 1/2 sale and walk with a bunch of good stuff.The ladies who work here are all very supportive and nice-One thing: there's a boutique upstairs with special stuff, there's a Specific protocol with going up there & the rules are not clear. If you run all of the system just ask, they'll explain.

I have found a lot of items for my DIY projects at reasonable prices. The staff is friendly and helpful. I recently took a bunch of stuff after cleaning out my closet to donate. The garage in the back has a lot of parking and checking in and out was a breeze.

Best thrift store I've found in the area. They have a room of regular clothes and also a room for designer brand clothes. Even their designer brand clothes are reasonably priced. They have one dressing room for the designer room and multiple dressing rooms for the main floor. My husband found two beautiful ties in the designer clothes room at a great price. All the clothes are in great shape and nice. Devoted parking is a real plus too.

Always find great finds here, and prices are very good! The designer section is especially good, and I always find amazing brands thanks to the location and casual beach wear. I have to agree, the staff here is a hit or miss. Some employees are super kind & helpful, others seem snippy & just want to enforce rules in harsh ways. I've encountered both. Shout out to their baby section, I have found absolute gems for my nephew. Also - this place does require masks. Just fyi, there are disposable masks behind the cashier and they'll give you one by request.

Recently in town and stumbled upon this hidden gem! They have all kinds of amazing finds. Not sure why there are some negative reviews bc my experience seemed great!Definitely will be back soon.

This place rocks! Every time I go in here I find seriously amazing deals. Not sure why there are negative reviews. I've always found all the volunteers to be extremely nice and thankful.

I used to love this thrift store but I agree with all the negative reviews regarding the unfriendliness of staff. It's a shame they don't allow service dogs (seems discriminatory) they've also now added anyone with a baby or child to the group of individuals not allowed to shop in this store. Thanks I drove all the way here just to be denied entry because I was with my 6 month old.
