You will need to be very careful if you use BBQ Renew. They give you one quote over the phone and when they show up they up sell you for additional cleaning, repairs, etc. They additionally charge you 99.00 to come and look at your BBQ which goes on your bill even if you have them complete the work. They quoted us $325.00 for cleaning. When they came to look at our one year old BBQ they said that it would take more to clean the BBQ and charged an additional $100.00. They additionally charged us an additional $99.00 for just showing up. A total of $525.00 for a quote of $325.00. They additionally wanted to sell us other parts which would have increased the charges to over $1,000. We said no thank you!We would not recommend BBQ Renew!

Absolutely Amazing. This is my Lynx Grill and it is 18 years old. Looks new again. Chris went above and beyond and the pictures speak for themselves. I don't understand the negative reviews as this is the second time they have cleaned my grill in 5 years and both times the results blew me away!

This is the worst company. Please don’t book with this company, they are over price they charge you for the stuff they don’t even do. The guy came to our house and he was very unprofessional very rude. He charge us for not doing anything, he didn’t even provide us a receipt and at the end he told us I know where do you guys live? . Please be careful and don’t work with them.

After reading the reviews on this business I decided to not keep my appointment. It wasn't 5 minutes after cancelling that they were calling me for the $99 dollar cancellation fee. They are extremely aggressive and all about the money. So glad I read the reviews!

I would definately not recomend this company for BBQ Restoration or anthing else. I made an appointment and two weeks later on the day of the appointment they sent me a text telling me they do not work in my area after they told me they did and said that they look forward to working with me. The company is not at all reliable and not proffessional at all. They appear to be a band aid fixer of BBQ"s with nothing but extremeley high prices only for profit and rip off fees.

Such a lovely company. We had a shoddy company “repair” our bbq and BBQ Renew to the rescue. They came out inspected the BBQ and realized there was no fix FF to ordering a new BBQ with an amazing install and wonderful customer service. The poor reviews on here are funny - of course they will charge to come out for a service call - who doesn’t? I’ve already given their info to two of our neighbors after the saw the awesome job they did on installation and pricing. Thank YOU!

I can not say enough about how great this company is!!! They were so honest and made my BBQ look like new. They were just a week out to get all the parts for my 20 year old BBQ and fire pit. Totally worth the money!!!

Please read the responses this company puts on any negative review. They are SOOOO aggressive. They came to our home for a warranty repair issue for Lynx BBQ. They canceled my first appointment because their repair guy had COVID. The 2nd appointment, they did not have the parts and so the repair guy said they had to get the “kit” from Lynx and come back. I reminded him the only reason he was there was for a warranty repair and why didn’t they have the parts. He couldn’t answer that. I previously added a cleaning as long as they were there and he asked if I wanted him to do that or to do it when he came back and I said let’s just do it all at once when he returns. NO mention of cancel fee. A couple weeks later I got a call from a super aggressive female who demanded a cancel fee. I repeated the facts and that they had to order parts and she said I was lying they had the parts. Why would I lie about that when we just want our grill fixed? She then put the owner on the phone and he was SUPER aggressive so I had to hang up and asked that they never contact me again. Even though I said to stop contacts, he started texting and emailing me demanding a cancel fee. He forwarded a phone recording purportedly me but I didn’t listen to it because I NEVER was told I was being recorded (so they were breaking the law) and it was so upsetting to be treated this way, I just wanted to be done with them. Please everyone use someone else. I fully expect them to add an aggressive response here but felt I need to alert potential customers how awful they can be. Please see the pattern and aggressive attitude in these reviews. Do you really want that? The repair guy seemed pretty nice and I’m guessing this is why the positive reviews but don’t support a company that treats their customers so aggressively and with such disdain.

Husband attempted to clean and fix the bbq himself. Not his lane. All the great words seem to fall short. Great guy, (Justin ?), sorry, on time, kind, professional and friendly. BBQ looks brand new and works like it is brand new. Price was more than reasonable considering the work that had to be put into bringing this bbq back to life.

In response to your comment that you have been in business since 2008, see attached photo that depict that BBQ Renew LLC formation date of 10/2013 from California Secretary of State and hence if you subtract current year of 2022 minus year 2013, it makes nine years in business as I truthfully stated in my original review. The simple reference to registration of a domain name of BBQRENEW.com does not mean that you were operating a business; it simply means that you registered a domain name. And if you claim that you were either operating from 2008 to 2013, then you must have been operating without any business license as the Orange County recorder has no records of BBQ Renew operating in oRange county from year 2008 to 2013. I am not surprised that you were running the business without a license because you run the business as a Cash Grab without any customer service or care for client. So if one is planning to use them for any services, be prepared for lousy job or getting upsell on unnecessary repairs as the operation is extremely shady and unethical. I am glad that I have posted photos showing factually that the ownership is fully exposed on his lies on how long he has been in business, a rather blunt and inaccurate statement by him. Furthermore this business is not authorized in repair/retail sale for the majority of brands that are they advertising on the BBQRENEW website. And based on your responses on any negative reviews, it seems that everyone that complains about your shady service is a liar but it seems that you are the common denominator in all the scams that is happening to homeowners who call you for repair service. So, now that you have been fully exposed on all shady business practices, say CHEESE and smile on camera rather than typing "Happy Grilling" :)

I do not recommend this company. I went with this company as a recommendation from a client but was sadly disappointed. There are many areas on the grill that was not satisfactorily cleaned. Left a lot of burnt marks and the comment I received was that it would require a "restoration level" charge. Before the consultation I did not receive any such comment and was only told "it would clean up nicely". Basically you are being charged $275 for a very light cleaning. This is very misleading. The worker explained the area that didn't clean would require an angle grinder to get out. He was using an angle grinder on other parts of the grill but decided not to for that area. So why didn't he just do it then or at the very least advise the client from the get-go or set expectations from the beginning that this was a light cleaning. As posted in another review, the drip tray was left with a lot of residue and solution from the cleaning that I had to clean up myself at the end of the day. And I ended up finding a lot of residue from the clean on my pavers from a sloppy clean up job. Overall sloppy and not neat. The knobs on the grill weren't even cleaned. It was left sticky and greasy and spent a better part of an hour trying to clean it myself the following day. I encourage anybody in the Orange County area to use "Grill Masters" which was my go to cleaning service for grills/bbq's. All you have to do is read the replies by the owner to determine whether this company is a fit for you: "Stay away from Walter! This guy is legitimately nuts! And, he isn't telling the truth. False statements and photos. He's not ever going to be happy about anything. I really feel sorry for him." "We do not cater to Yelper's who try to get stuff for free. This client immediately disputed the credit card charges to rip us off and posts on Yelp" "Wow Kemmer, you are some piece of work. Posting another review 8 months later. Again, you post false statements and just flat out lie about our company. It's people like you that just need to go away... If you are like Kemmer and use Yelp as leverage, and to get stuff for free, PLEASE don't call us. Yelp does nothing to protect businesses from people like Kemmer." Personal attacks on replies and unprofessional. More than likely will receive a reply to this post!

I wanted to replace my BBQ and not to do any cleaning or services. They sent me a text that it is a $99 service call. I called back that I don't need any cleaning or services quotes and she said: "Okay, we will give you the options". John came onsite and gave me replacement options and still wanted to charge for $99 service fee. I got three other quotes and all of them had lower BBQ prices, lower installation fees without charging a dime for the quote. I explained it to Mike and he was still insisting that we charge $99 unless you buy the BBQ and get the services from us that will be going toward it. I suggest using another vendor for any BBQ services unless you want to throw away at least $99!
