I normally don't have the best experience at Walgreens My local Cypress location is awful and I stopped shopping there about a year ago. But on my way home from a client appointment, I needed to get something, so I stopped in to this Walgreens. I'm glad I did because it was the best experience I have had in a long time that had nothing to do with inventory or getting a great deal. It was solely because of the kindness of two store employees. First, was Desiree, who was walking the store and stopped to ask if I needed anything. I politely declined and kept shopping. I saw her again and this time needed her help. She guided me to the correct aisle with a friendly smile and went back to work. I saw her one more time as I was making my way to the front of the store and she said, "Checking in one last time before I go home. Do you need help with anything else?" I did not but Thacker her and wished her a good night. Then when I finally got to the register, Katie checked me out and was so nice and polite, I wondered if I was still on planet Earth!! Had I died and gone to Walgreens heaven?? These ladies absolutely made my night!! So often, great customer service is non existent. No one behind the counter greets you, let alone, greets you with a smile and wishes you a good night. I'll definitely come back!

When it comes to chain stores, I like that there's several so just in case the customer service isn't great at one, I can always go to another. This is one I won't be visiting again. I don't like being profiled or stalked all around a store while I shop, so I won't be shopping here. There's another walgreens location on Lakewood that I like and I've never been made to feel uncomfortable there. Just a friendly tip for those that have experienced this in the past and would like to go out and run errands in peace. I will be making sure to comment on things like this bc I know it will help a lot of people that deserve to be treated with respect and dignity. ?

One of their pharmacists, Julie Manneschmidt was wonderful.She had been very patient while I was asking many questions about my new medication drag because it was a steroids which I rarely took before.She also wrote me how I had to take that medichine because it was a bit complicated for a newbie like me to follow the instructions.Recently, since my health condition has been changed quite bit, I have had a bunch of new medicines to take, and then I was given a steroid medication today; so, I was overwhelmed.Though she totally cleared my fear.She was knowledgeable, easy to talk, and very friendly.I attached the memo which she wrote for me, today.Again, thank you, Julie. You made my day!

Dyan (Dian?) At cosmetic section was really great.I had some issue with a product at the different dept. Though she was very considerate and helpful, I really appreciated it.

This pharmacy goes above and beyond to help out. I spoke with Tammy and she was so helpful and was able to help me get my prescription from another Walgreens even though this Walgreens was out of stock. Thank you so much Tammy!!!

I received an email saying my husband's prescription is delayed due to some insurance issues. The person who answered the call was very helpful. She listened to my problems and accepted my proposal to look into to my account because we have the same insurance.She agreed!!! Although, I had to wait on the phone for a bit(I belirve they were busy). She did come back to the line and helped me with the issue and said the meds will ne ready in 20 minutes. I was half expecting the respose of "you need to bring the physical card over". I really appreciate her help. She definitely saved me some time!

Today, 7/20/22, Ruby at the pharmacy dept made my day. I really appreciated her thoughtful attention on my prescription drug.I went to see a new doctor yesterday (7/19) and the receptionist told me that I could have picked it up at this Walgreen yesterday though, I could not get it and found that they did not receive any order from my new Dr's office instead.So, I made a claim to Dr's office today and they sent the prescription to this Walgreen and called there to get the status for a pick-up this afternoon (7/20). Then, I found out that it was not covered by my insurance.I was getting so frustrated, and, I sent an inquiry email to my doctor's office. After that, I went out for grocery shopping nearby this Walgreen. Since this was the first time for me to get this prescription drug, I wanted to know what was it.So, I just stopped by this Walgreen to get the information, and then I had a chance to talk to Ruby.I told her that my visit there was just for getting the information about my new drug since it was denied by my insurance. Then, she looked up my information and said that "somehow it was denied though; if you could wait I could get it for you." WWWHAT? I could not get what she said at the first place though; any way I got my medicine within 10 minutes, WOW!.Oh-boy, she really made my week, too. If she did not have much knowledge/consideration/expertise and was a careless personal, I would have expected to spend a lot of time to talk to my Dr's office to solve this issue.Thank you, Ruby! You are awesome! A Ruby was not my birthstone though; she became my favorite gem by now!

Had been coming here consistently for over ten years now but that unfortunately stops today. After being consistently treated poorly by the young man joseph I no longer want to come here despite its convenience and the wonderful quality of other employees. I truly love the other employees who have always been the best in every way. We’ve known each other for years and I genuinely care for them. I have an anxiety disorder which I’ve had since childhood which I have been hospitalized for and I cannot handle someone being condescending and rude to me EVERY visit, often going out of his way to make it a terrible experience. I do not wish to end up in the hospital again so they can watch my heart due to palpitations and anxiety attacks. This is too much stress for me and my concerns were sadly never taken seriously. He is a childish bully and needs to grow up. This is not how you treat people.

This Walgreens is very often out of stock of pharmacy products that our family needs. The people that work up front at the registers especially the English lady is rather nice. I would basically call this Walgreens I hit or miss. Truth.

I don't usually review, but in this case I MUST. I always appreciated the pharmacy techs at this Walgreens. In general, I found them helpful and knowledgeable. Walgreens has a way for me to have a preferred manufacturer for generics. I didn't even know that was a thing until a tech told me! But I didn't realize just how special and helpful they were at THIS Walgreens until I moved to SF Bay Area. I've dealt with 2 different Walgreens up here to get refills. They are understaffed and consequently overworked, and wait times are horrible. It took me 10 minutes on the phone AFTER I got to a human, and 3 different people before I got the status of my Rx. The pharmacist told me when I request a manufacturer, I should ask when I have about a week's worth left and THEN looked to see I had already done that. They just never got back to me. Appreciate what you've got, people of east Lakewood!

This has been our go-to pharmacy for years, & we've never had any complaints. More recently, however, they seem constantly understaffed & overworked. Today I had an urgent need for some antibiotics. The Rx. was sent in before 10 a.m., & it's status quickly went to "in process" on the website. The website said estimated time of completion was 11:17. A little long for a Rx. o six pills, but OK; maybe they're extra busy today. No text received & site still says "in process" at 11:45, so I called to check on it before my husbands heads over to get it. Listened to their robot voice tell me what's in the website, so I called back & eventually got a human who said "it's in process" (hmmm...I wonder where she got that?), & that it should be ready in 15-20 min. Here it is, another hour later, I still don't have much-needed meds, & my husband got tired of waiting & went over there anyway...to wait some more. I understand waiting my turn, but surely they do some sort of triage to expedite not routine meds, don't they? How hard is it to print a label, slap it on a bottle, & add SIX pills? I've been waiting three hours for six pills!

Staff here are the sweetest and they get 5 stars.Two stars:The pricing of sale items are not honored regularly at register on a regular basis. If you don’t say something - you will pay full price. It happens to me average 5 times a year. Been going here 6 years.I have to drive back , discuss, get manager - it’s an ordeal.I dread it. I don’t like rechecking my receipt in line after I pay but- will start.How is it those yellow tags say a sale price and at register , it’s not showing the same.It’s got to be a constant oversight issue.My fault: I don’t always go back. I’m too swamped with work.But then , I am the only one who loses out.

I visited several #walgreens throughout Long Beach, looking for my favorite lipstick. I stopped with my fingers crossed to check to see if my favorite lipstick was in stock. As I approached the cosmetic department I noticed where my lipstick should be, it stated ask for assistance. Long story short most of the lipstick's are kept in the back due to theft of these products. I'm so happy my lipstick was available, will definitely return very soon....
