The Lark Theater is a wonderful independent non-profit theater and a true gem in downtown Larkspur. It is considered the best in the Bay Area, showing art-house films, classics, culturally significant films, and event cinema like National Theater Live. It also presents occasional live shows on its small stage. The venue is squeaky-clean and newly remodeled, with comfortable seats, terrific concessions, and fantastic sound. The welcoming and kind staff are part of the volunteer effort that keeps this local theater alive. Its location in the wonderful small town makes for a chill night out, with nearby shops and restaurants. The theater offers early Bird specials with free popcorn and deserves all the patronage it can get.
Everything about the Lark is wonderful...location in downtown Larkspur, the choice of films, screening of National Theater Live films, comfort of seats and ambiance, and the welcoming staff. A true gem.

I'm a big fan of their early Bird specials which happen before noon on different days with different films. Free popcorn with entry on early bird days! This is a local theater kept alive by volunteers and donations. It's a gem in the middle of a wonderful small town and deserves all the patronage it can get.

Good Art Deco structure. Decent popcorn. Large screen main auditorium. The Lark is a classic.
